0:13 Instead of dog-paddling backwards into the roadway, why not whip a "180" while still in the driveway, then enter traffic front-first? Entire video: Instead of a death grip on the throttle, cover your brake, and don't try to look cool by taking both hands off the controls. 4:07 don't keep straddling the rough patch in the center of the road. Go past it one way or the other, traversing it at a steep angle. Generally, you are downshifting when you don't have to, and too early. For first gear, simply tap-tap to it while still moving, but moving slower than 5 MPH. At 6:06, that riding to the right of your lane in this situation reduced your ability to see into driveways to the right; range left instead. 7:51 You rolled the stop sign; this was an opportunity to practice bringing the bike to a full stop without putting a foot down, then executing the turn. At 8:02 you entered the curb cut at too shallow an angle; that can make you wipe out. 13:21 nearly hit the center strip, then swung too wide in the turn; learn to pin turns precisely. The video was too long to watch all of it, and I can't see what your clutch and brakework looks like at the moment of the crash, but at 26:31 you failed to see that the car in front of you was braking for the carriage buggy ahead of it, and that was a full eight seconds before your crash. Furthermore at 26:38 your tachometer indicates zero RPM (!) and you also seem to have locked up the rear wheel. Get out there and keep practicing, resolve to improve your skills on every ride. Forget the moto blogging if it's distracting you from this. Wear a good jacket with shoulder, elbow, back armor, and trousers with knee and hip armor. This protection will give you the confidence to properly explore the limits of what you can make your bike do, and the limits of traction.

That was super unfortunate timing... Did you make out alright or were there injuries sustained? I am wondering if I could feature your video in my risk management program. I would use it for lessons on traction management to help prevent accidents like yours in the future.

A great example of a rider trying to blame others for their mistake. Crying about the driver slowing down for the buggy. Control your moto and adapt to the situation as necessary. Own your mistakes , learn and move on.
