DO NOT use your bare hand to slice on the mandolin. I cut the entire tip of my finger off on it and its fairly common to get very bad cuts on this. Always use the prong to hold the vegetable and use a cutting glove for good measure otherwise you will probably eventually end up going to the emergency room like me 😅
I think they’re a lot better quality than the ones from childhood. Seems to be easier to clean the product and it’s more efficient (sharper blade maybe? And better angles?)
I have this chopper in a different color. I actually love it and use it all the time. Also, it comes with a potato holder for protection and it helps you cut faster and safer. It’s actually that little dome shaped piece at the left of the screen in the beginning. Definitely use that!
Yeah, this is the second video i am seeing today. Even in India everyone knows that chopper from a very long time. Even we had that in our home. Many have already stopped using that because people feel it's kind of messy or difficult as anyway we have to chop vegetables using knife first and then chop in that chopper, So many feel it's easier and faster to chop with knife itself, also it's kind of difficult to wash that chopper, So people feel it's unnecessary extra work. Don't know why these people are showing this now as if it's a new gadget.
I am disabled, and have hand arthritis. This thing is even more dangerous for those with mobility issues, I cut my thumb and finger badly on the mandolin slicer with the first use. It's so dangerous.
I've had this same type of chopper for as long as I can remember, my dad bought it when I was still a toddler (he's a chef) and ( I'm in my teens). I also remember struggling to cut things with this because I was weak and my dad laughing at me, ahh good memories
So funny I have the same one and didn't know about waffle fry blade used it last night worked great used this afternoon I nicked my thumb went to ER but will still use the fries looked good and were appealing thanks for showing me the way to use it.
GIRL WEAR THE PROTECTIVE GLOVES WHEN YOURE SLICING THE POTATO!!!!! I had one of these a while ago and I injured myself multiple times… It’s really easy for your hand to slip. pls don’t be like me
This chopper is literally my and my mom's most favourite kitchen item, it's just makes chopping so much easier and quick, without the fear of chopping off my own fingers
I remember seeing these on teleshopping channels when I was a kid I am surprised seeing her try this for the first time like who hasnt seen those amazing chop chop commercials before those were so satisfying *-*
I was once using the slicing blade and i pushed too hard that my hand slipped and i sliced my fingers into two halves never used it again for years ✨❤️
You can store the little blades inside the tin. My mom bought one for me recently, it takes like a minute to clean and store away. I take all the blades I used, fill the container with water and soap, let them soak while I clean the part that goes down and then I use a brush that cleans bottles because they usually have a lot of bristles.
Are they TRULY as good as they make it look?! I make all my meals for a week of a Sunday, and want some time on my day off to do something besides cook!
This is so cute. I’ve had one of those things for at least 15 years. There used to be a fun infomercial for the one I have back in probably the late 90s.
Dude, I love how happy you are because of a manual cutter. I'd totally be like this too if I had a bunch of kitchen gadgets in front of me. Totally loved everything in this video
Funny story.... When she was slicing the potato and her arm got saved by the 0.0002 cm mark....yeah I didn't get as lucky...so we were making potato fries and I was slicing the potatoes ..just in my zone...when suddenly I see this big ass cut on my palm ...and the thinnest layer of skin covering it... Seconds after...I was bleeding all over the sliced potatoes ...
My parents have been using one of these for years whenever they need to chop a lot of vegetables (ie. for salsa). It works really well! My mom always makes my dad do it because he finds it fun 😂
After seeing the first moments of extreme sharpness, she kinda got biased in the end. "But it's okay! As even I got biased, with this vegetable chopper! 😅😅

Both me and my mom cut our fingers with that thing it’s really crazy how it won’t cut the potato but slices through flesh easily.
Thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind for safety
Here because I lost the tip of my finger AND the side of my thumb first time I used this thing. It's straight in the bin.
My mom has one. She calls it her “banger” since it goes bang, bang, bang. LOL

My mom has been calling it her chop chop since I was a kid. I'm in the 20s now and I'm suprised the world is just now finding these
Yea i know these a long time ago. But you know once someone makes a dedicated video about it, suddenly everyone does the same as if a trend is born.
Right! I have had this thing for so many years now that I hardly cut a vegetable unless I’m at work (restaurant).
IKR I saw ads of these choppers as a kid and always liked it. Really surprised people are finding it now
I think they’re a lot better quality than the ones from childhood. Seems to be easier to clean the product and it’s more efficient (sharper blade maybe? And better angles?)
Those ads that played for 3 hours at a time in the middle of the night are engraved into my mind
When you realise that cleaning this is harder than maths exam😢
Sent this to my dad and he said “I prefer to chop onions with a knife. Like a real man”

my favorite thing about your videos is how they’re filmed like an episode of parks and rec
Why are you guys just discovering these? They've been here since the 90s telemarketing

@@Glesga_lassie oh no yeah absolutely.

Exactly 😂
I have been watching this on TV ads from 2008 but my family decided not to buy and they like challenges and risks in life.

I would probably never get one of these, they are just a pain to clean, and they take up so much space.

You can see it in many indian houses...This already came before 7 years
The one you used for tomatoes is perfect for making fries, it's so convenient
The slicer extension need to be used at an angle and continuously to get the rhythm. It’s smoother when used as a back and forth continuous action.

Vince with the slap chop could never
“I mean it’s FINE WE are going to make them STILL”
The struggle when the insert gets stuck to the lid after every slap though.
I have that small 1 cups manual chopper from Amazon with green lid. Its perfect for salsa, it small but it chops everything equally.
"So I'm gonna give it 9 out of 10"
Missing this part 🥲
With the first one it works
I bought this YEARS ago, you can adjust the thinness of the slices.
the thickness of the slice depends on how much force you apply
After seeing the first moments of extreme sharpness, she kinda got biased in the end.
"But it's okay! As even I got biased, with this vegetable chopper! 😅😅
That is my favorite veggie chopper. You can chop onions minus the tears :) and I chop most veggies that don’t need a specific cut in it.
Honestly cutting it in half and after that use the chopper seems like more work than just cutting it yourself with a knife straight away.
I have the same one!
These things have come a long way since those telefilm advertisements.
Way cool piece of kitchen gadgetry!!
This is satisfying to watch 😌 i also want one of those!!😲
