    Will the shock relocation cause axel wrap and wheel hop?

      @archivegarage7638  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, it doesn't cause axle wrap. In fact, the truck never experienced ANY, I took this Tundra to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan and driving through hot sand with mud tires tested that for sure. The rear suspension worked so good, I didn't think about it all day there, later I realized it just worked.

    Is their a install vid of the hammer hangers for the 1st gen tundra?

    • @archivegarage7638
      @archivegarage7638  ปีที่แล้ว

      No not yet, but it is very straightforward, they bolt right in the factory hanger rivet holes

    Awesome! Running your rear shackle flip kit, looking forward to the results from this shock mount! Keep on innovating!

    Looks cool! Do you have binding issues during full articulation test?

    • @archivegarage7638
      @archivegarage7638  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely no issues, working great on dozens of Tundras

      @@archivegarage7638 have you thought of designing a three link system? trailing arms with coilovers.

    • @archivegarage7638
      @archivegarage7638  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KingFillip No, not interested either. I make reasonable suspension for offroad and expo rigs. You can't have it all

      @@archivegarage7638 i would think a 3 link system could be easy because you could replicate the sequoia system? eliminating the leaf springs. With your shock tower design, use coilovers.

  • @damnitdang
    @damnitdang 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Make a rear shockount for the 2nd gen yota pickup for shock outside frame using tundra axle

      Maybe take a look at our 1st gen Tacoma shock relocation kit, see if you think that might work

      @@archivegarage7638 I've seen those too. A bit too short and I want my shock bolts parallel with my frame. Kinda prefer a shock Dom tube style

    Are there other shock options that would work from blistien? or king?

    • @archivegarage7638
      @archivegarage7638  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Definitely from King, 2.0 and 2.5. King you can order over-the-body top cap and welded lower eye to fit a 2.5x12

    Awesome design, might have to pick one of these up in the future! What leaf springs are you going to put on? What's your bump stop plans?

    • @archivegarage7638
      @archivegarage7638  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I'll be installing the Archive Overland springs by Deaver very soon, and I use the Archive Stealth HD U-bolt flip option 4 Super bumps, just had them unbolted during install and this video

      Rad! And that makes sense, I just had the chance to look at your designs on your website, in doing so, answered my question. Looking forward to seeing what else you design for the 1st gen. Have you had the chance to install 2.5's yet in the rear?

      @@GOPROSANTACRUZ Me fitting 2.5s is a ways out, but I am pretty impressed with the 2.0s so far, good ride and control thanks to tuning by Accutune Offroad. If you want to fit 2.5x12, contact me for tips and info on fitting those
