I was dissapointed with Paul's official rules playthrough, which is unusual, but you absolutely nailed this in terms of clarity, speed, direction of actions etc
    Thank you so much
    Subbed 👍

Thanks for sub! I'm glad the video was enjoyable for you. I have a great deal of respect for everyone who makes playthroughs. I know how hard they can be. I have my own style and I'm glad that it worked for you this time. I hope you continue to enjoy the channel for a long time. Thanks again!

Thanks for this. For some reason, my brain couldn't wrap itself around how the AI took it's turns, but your video made it clear.

Another fantastic video! Such clear and concise communication and great editing. Not sure about the game though, feels a bit like they threw EVERYTHING at the wall, and not really sure the theme is there for anything else than the art. Looking forward to the next round, maybe it'll grow on me.

Thanks for the compliment nunt2. You are right -- this is a medium weight euro with lots of mechanisms thrown in. You have a few minigames held together with worker placement and deckbuilding at the center. It is BEAUTIFUL but no more thematic than any other euro game. But it is fun. And the solo works well, especially at the harder difficulty level. There is also a ton of modules in the expansions that I haven't explored too much. Medium weight euros are my sweet spot, so I'm enjoying Endless Winter a bunch. But YMMV for sure. Thanks for watching!

Great video!! I haven't had time to watch the whole thing yet, but quick question-- what is the win/loss condition for solo? Do you need to score more points than the AI? Also, is the AI difficulty adjustable? OH and does it feel like a relatively good AI opponent in terms of somewhat mimicking another player? Thanks for such great content!

Thanks for the video. It is well put together. I do have a question when the AI draws a card where does it draw it from?

Great video as always. Looking forward to watching the other rounds while waiting for my copy to arrive. Have you played it as a group yet or just solo?

Thanks grizzzzlies! I have only played solo. I just got it myself and I tend to learn, play several times solo and then, if I like it, film a solo playthrough long before it gets to the table multiplayer. I play multiplayer less often these days, so the backup of great games is quite large. It will probably play well with two and three. Four might be too long, but I'm not sure. Thanks for watching!

Hi! What are your thoughts on the solo experience? Nice video as always, keep it up!

Thanks for watching! I love the solo game of Endless Winter. I think the card system is very easy to manage, especially once you become familiar with the icons. It took me a game, then it really clicked. The gameplay is fun, if you enjoy Eurogames with a bunch of different systems, which I do. The deckbuilding isn't as interesting as Lost Ruins of Arnak but still fun. I recommend it for sure, especially if the playthrough looked like a good time. Hope that helps!

You shuffled and drew a random 5 cards, the set up card tells you your starting hand though?

  • @chuckawade1

I noticed in the beginning you just took 5 random cards instead of taking the cards listed in the start card. Is that a solo rule or a mistake?

Looks like a mistake, Chuck, unless I'm forgetting something. Good eye. Never noticed that. We'll called it the Shaggi Variant. 😀 Thanks for watching!
