Owls are one of my favorite animals! 🦉 I hope to see a Great Horned Owl someday! I want one! Such beautiful large eyes, love the orange color!
My all time favorite animal. Love owls very unique animals.
Unlike any other.
Excellent video
We also have what I think is a subspecies of great horned owl here in Alaska, (along with twelve other species of owls, not to mention the other myriad raptor species).
The one here is our largest species i believe, truly massive.
very iNtErEsTiNg... awesome vid, learned a bunch😁
One of the greatest creatures ever!!! Love these guys.
Thanks for the additional video!
besides feeding on land prey and carrion do they also catch fishes or other aquatic prey?
For an owl to be poisoned my rat bait. It would have to been an illegal rodenticide or to eat its weight in rat bait.
It would not dye by eating a mouse or a rat that ate some bait. Doesn't work like that. Years ago it did when stronger secondary type baits were legal.
There's one that occasionally hoots on a tree that's about 15 feet from a corner of the house here in rural Ventura County, California . Just saw it at dusk this evening sitting on a large boulder, silhouetted against the faintly lit sky about 150 feet away
