I laughed at both parts. Honestly, when pennywise was on the screen it was funny. But any part of the kids going through hell in their daily lives, that's was more scary than the film itself.
@@justinmunkey3368 I agree. Now that I think about it, if you re-read or rewatch some films, you're able to get what the stories are about. And he has my respect for that. Like The Shining is about an alcoholic and I never knew that until I was an adult.
You're one of those people that won't watch a prequel because "None of the characters are going to die" huh? Must suck to carry that standard around, "DEATH MUST BE A CHANCE FOR ME TO BE INTERESTED" You watch kids be traumatized by a demon and that means nothing because they didn't die?
Don’t get me wrong I like this movie but the problem I have is that is relies too much on cgi especially the old lady cause in the trailer I thought it was gonna be scary but when they showed the scene I was disappointed 😂😂😂
It would’ve been great if it actually followed the book and Paul had his axe like he was supposed to. Yes, I know King OKed the switch and the filmmakers probably didn’t want to invite the comparison to The Shining. But, Paul’s axe is iconic.
WOW! You mean that one very important part of the book with a bunch of horror elements and one of the most horrifying pennywise moments was actually in this HORROR MOVIE? Simply amazing!
I feel like this scene was a really necessary scene for clarity on Richie’s sexuality, plus the scene itself was a really great scene that makes you wonder how it’s gonna end, I honestly thought Richie was done for in this scene but overall I think this scene said a lot
That scene was in the book. Wicked good scene.. in the book it describes how awful paul Bunyans breath was too. In the book Richie was always scared of that statue
I grew up a stones throw from the town in Michigan that has that statue of Paul Bunion in front of the visitor station and site seeing cabins- I know Steven King has visited the state! Life long fan!!
I mean, there was stuff he wasn't allowed to add. Like the Gangbang scene where the KID characters fight off their fear of Pennywise by running a train on Beverly
Lucky Steven King wasn't allowed to have that...Other scene in the movie...The scene that was most likely written while he was staying on one of his friends island...
Well no duh, he owns the rights to the whole thing…. I’d want to let the guy who came up with the idea in the first place to delicate the production. What a genius for stating the obvious in the form of a question.
I remember me and my friend wen't to the bathroom before this scene and when we walked back to our seats, this jumpscare happened and we started to ran and it felt like he was chasing us as well. Almost peed in my pants even if i already went to take a leak
The painfully obvious point being that the writer/director didn't want it in the film, and king demanded they add it. Fortunately they got away with not having his pedofilia in the movies. So it's a reasonable trade.
SK didn't used to get involved much with the movie or TV adaptations. Maybe that's why there's been so many bad ones. Thankfully they did a good job with it imo. It was a crying shame what they did with The Dark Tower movie! To call it an insult would be accurate.

"Stephen King was the reason this scene was in IT Chapter 2"
Technically Stephen King was the reason for all of the IT movies lol
Löve
Some folks are just dumb
True but Movie directors do not always go by the book. That is why the IT series is so good
No producers made the movies happen. They got the money.
@@crazybobert5243no story, no movie. Common sense my guy. If the book was never written then you can’t make a movie based on it. Use your brain
Yes in the book it was really creepy. The whole book was creepy. One of my all time favorites actually.
I am currently reading it and I am like 970 of 1376 pages and I m loving it
You love it until you reach THE SCENE if yk what I mean... 😢

Why can’t you hook?
Yes
True we have statues of him and they get a little silly sometimes and do this stuff
I definitely feel it was a very valid part of this movie. Why would they have possibly have left it out.
They could have taken this scene out of the movie and it wouldn't have changed anything in the rest of the story.

It's because IT is based in Bangor Maine and there's a Paul Bunyan statue there. I pass by it all the time bc I live here

Honestly the de-aging affect on Finn is scarier then the damn lumberjack.
