Hearing Darius singing in the back, I went to this concert, but in Nashville. Still one of the greatest concerts I have ever been to. Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Brad. In Nashville.
Here's a tele... and here's another tele... this one's a tele... he lost a tele and replaced it with this tele. And this one's a tele. there is an acoustic. and here is another tele...
It's a G-bender. Like a B-bender but on the G string. You'll notice Brad's straps are all attatched ant the neck heel. that's where the G bender lever is.
@TheKirkYates its a device you install in the body that goes through from the upper guitar strap button to one of the string on the bridge, so when you push down on the neck it bends a string, search "b-bender" on google
I love how people always down a guitarist for having more than one guitar.....it's more than just shear quantity people.....it's about feel....after touring the world several times over....it takes its toll
@ahvaimusicom There are tons of little holes in guitars that water could get into. The problem is that inside of those holes, the wood is unfinished, and because of that it'll get ruined if it gets submerged in water.
Does somebody know what the bridge saddle of the G string is?? It looks longer, I guess it's for intonation problems but do somebody know what it is? :)
Lol, yeah it's not a normal saddle it's hooked to the metal tab you see on a few of the neck back plates and it bends the string as his guitar strap pulls on that metal lever at the neck plate
I'm a huge Brad Paisley fan, but I'm with Tyler Pryor...it's a little bit odd that you need that many versions of the same guitar. Look, I'm all about collecting, but damn...at least have a reason; a Strat, something with a short scale, hollow body, whatever, but 50 teles? Odd, I think. Same with the 5 different identical Dr. Z heads. But then again, all of these rundowns are a circle jerk of excess
I hesitate to use the word "tragedy" when talking about the loss of stuff and not human life, but the loss of all the gear in Nashville....that's about as close as I've gotten.
Exactley, at the end of the day they are tools. You don't turn up to a job with just a scewdriver. you need different types of screwdriver. Pretty sure I just compared my beloved teles to screwdrivers....
@JackDawsonRMS the guy who originally ordered it didn't want the bender but brad paisley DID want the bender. I think your caps lock key may be broken.
"heres a guitar that was lost in the flood, we got another one, its a great one" "heres a guitar that was lost in the flood, we got another one, its a great one" "heres a guitar that was lost in the flood, we got another one. its a great one" i love all of the guitars, but it did get kinda redundant after a while.
@jimalan22 These artists probably know what life is really like because all this fame and fortune sure as hell wasnt handed to them. we are not talking about trinkets or anything expendable, (as it seems to me your not trying to be a musician, as i am) we are talking about "tools of the trade". Brad Paisley is a guitar player, and he needs guitars to make a living. it is a necessity for him. and He knows what life is like cause like all us musicians, he had to work hard and pay his dues.
She doesn't look too interested.....but I can't blame her. If I was booked for that assignment, I'd be bored too. How many times do you wanna look at the same guitar, ugghh.
John 5's collection of Teles is incredible. I wonder if he's reached his goal of having one from every year of production yet.
badfinger848 I believe he has
Hearing Darius singing in the back, I went to this concert, but in Nashville. Still one of the greatest concerts I have ever been to. Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Brad. In Nashville.
I would LOVE to have one of his retired Tele's...not picky
You and me both!
As a punk and metal girlie finding guitar based music that doesn’t make my family want to rip their ears off is always great
They were all in storage in a warehouse in Nashville. Keith Urban also had guitars in the same lock up but most of his guitars were salvagable.
He has. He now owns a 50 through to 54. His goal was to have every year the blackguard was in prodction.
Here's a tele... and here's another tele... this one's a tele... he lost a tele and replaced it with this tele. And this one's a tele. there is an acoustic. and here is another tele...
lol..right :-)
Well, it is country.
... and that Tele over there is actually an Esquire.
You can never have enough you know, teles
Meanwhile I have Es335, a Strat, a full Jazz box, a tele, a PRS style and many custom variations
It's a G-bender. Like a B-bender but on the G string. You'll notice Brad's straps are all attatched ant the neck heel. that's where the G bender lever is.
@TheKirkYates its a device you install in the body that goes through from the upper guitar strap button to one of the string on the bridge, so when you push down on the neck it bends a string, search "b-bender" on google
didn't know they let srats inside nashville city limits
You'd be surprised. We even allow Les Pauls if you're extra polite.
the guitar player for Peppermint Rainbow was the very first guitarist to play a paisley finished Fender on tv that was in 1967.
@FullMontyUK Thanks for that information, I have no clue what a b-bender sounds like, maybe an extra twangy tele sound seems like it.
Darius Rucker sound checking in the background! Radio Song!
mike2tone I noticed that too! Loved it!!
I completely agree with you. And did anyone realize that all the guitars were telecasters except for the strat and the three signature acousitics.
OMG is that at Strat at 6:00. He finally bought one, yesterday, in 2010. LOL
I love how people always down a guitarist for having more than one guitar.....it's more than just shear quantity people.....it's about feel....after touring the world several times over....it takes its toll
@hendrixkixas actually it is a G Bender - Brad never warmed up to the B.
@hendrixkixas For Paisley's G-benders, he has them raise the pitch a whole step.
what was that first song that was played at 0:49 onwards?
Darius Rucker - Comeback Song
@ahvaimusicom There are tons of little holes in guitars that water could get into. The problem is that inside of those holes, the wood is unfinished, and because of that it'll get ruined if it gets submerged in water.
what is that "bender"-thing he talked about? It's on almost all of his guitars
what is the g string saddle all about on every tele
Man Keith Urban FLOOD, Brad Paisley FLOOD Vince Gill FLOOD... tons of equipment lost. Crazy
Lynyrd Skynyrd too
There's something different with the bridges of those guitars what are those and what to they do?
Lol this video is from my hometown of Moline, IL. Can see our hockey team banners in the rafters
i love the way his voice changes when the music starts to play behind him altho his facial expressions dont change xD
He keeps 200 teles on tour? But why?
I used to keep one main and one backup. Used backup once.
what song is being played by darius rucker @1:45
Is that Darius Rucker playing in the background ?
aaah Rebecca Dirks, we hardy knew ye
where can i get a bender tremelo?
Does somebody know what the bridge saddle of the G string is??
It looks longer, I guess it's for intonation problems but do somebody know what it is? :)
Does ANYONE know EXACTLY what type of pickups are in the butterscotch telecaster at 1:30 ?????? Thanks! Please reply if you know. :)
is that a crescent at 2:20?
Cool hearing Darius Rucker sound checking in the background!
@hendrixkixas oh awesome thanks :) why would you need it?
Why is he having his 3rd saddle piece all the way in front? An unusual intonation trick?
Mostly 3rd is set pretty back.
G Bender is why
Lol, yeah it's not a normal saddle it's hooked to the metal tab you see on a few of the neck back plates and it bends the string as his guitar strap pulls on that metal lever at the neck plate
I agree, I have 7 and wouldn't part with one. I still want more though. ..... And strats. more strats ..
Darius Rucker soundchecking is an added bonus to this awesome video :)
@TheKirkYates
Its a B-bender. It bends the B string when you apply downward pressure to the guitar while wearing it with a strap.
What's the song at 4:17 please?
+ezaea zeaeazz Craziest Thing by Darius Rucker :)
*****
Thanks ! :) I was looking for that one
I love darius rucker doing soundcheck in the background
I hesitate to use the word "tragedy" when talking about the loss of stuff and not human life, but the loss of all the gear in Nashville....that's about as close as I've gotten.
I'm amazed that the stratocaster doesn't use any special pickups... At least I didn't catch him saying anything about em.
What's the song that starts at 5:06? I've heard it a million times, but can't come up with the name.
all that and never mentioned string gauge ,,,inquisitive minds want to know .
yea, what is a bender?
i hear darius rucker's "comeback song" playing in the background :D
@wyattsky That's exactly the way I feel...and I'd say the same about Paisley's Dr. Z amps too!
Brad Paisley only uses G benders made and installed by McVay.
Why does his voice change?
How many Telies does the man need?
Exactley, at the end of the day they are tools. You don't turn up to a job with just a scewdriver. you need different types of screwdriver. Pretty sure I just compared my beloved teles to screwdrivers....
brad paisley loves his teles
now he needs to learn to play
I would love any of those to have, huge fan!
Nicely done!
Please do a Garth Brooks rig rundown
I want that "Splash" guitar so bad.....
@JackDawsonRMS the guy who originally ordered it didn't want the bender but brad paisley DID want the bender. I think your caps lock key may be broken.
I have watched this 3 times now. It’s not weird
Nashville floods of 2010.
darius rucker in the backgroud?
a new rig rundown perhaps ? :P
Its really funny how he keeps going from loud voice to soft
Might be because of the band playing in the background.
@jimalan22 with dr. z's and crook tele's, he would have had over $30 000 in replacements
All of them.
Darius Rucker doing sound check is awesome.
DuckDitch loving it
Why do they always do these RIg Rundown videos during a soundcheck!
One hundred guitars and they don't show the one with the flying "WV". Let me guess, it got lost in the flood.
I believe the Flyin WV guitar was donated to WVU by Brad, if so that's why you're not seeing it.
Chad,I wish you could come back home so you could work on my guitars again. They need an overhauling bad. Be safe hope to see you soon.
What kind of picks and strings{gauges} does Brad use ?
John Kendall he plays Ernie Ball 10 gauges and Ernie Ball custom picks
his t-shirt = pure awesome
what is a bender
Kirk Yates....., we may never know.
Holy shit I didnt think brad knew they made other guitars (6:00)
No kidding eh.
i love how his voice changes when music stop's... :D
"heres a guitar that was lost in the flood, we got another one, its a great one"
"heres a guitar that was lost in the flood, we got another one, its a great one"
"heres a guitar that was lost in the flood, we got another one. its a great one"
i love all of the guitars, but it did get kinda redundant after a while.
@crazyenright
what happens when you start the night by drinking a 24 of vodka
very very informative! details
isnt the gold tele technically an esquire
All of the Telecasters!!!
You can never have too many Teles
This is one of the most sensible comments I have read TH-cam.
I feel the sparks of love fly between Chad and Rebecca...
Rebecca is a happily married woman. Don't disrespect her like that.
A man can never have enough tele's!!!!
Needs more Tele's
+Rimsala well they did assure us the pink paisley 68 was safe...
i always wanted a tele............
@jimalan22 These artists probably know what life is really like because all this fame and fortune sure as hell wasnt handed to them. we are not talking about trinkets or anything expendable, (as it seems to me your not trying to be a musician, as i am) we are talking about "tools of the trade". Whoever dies with the most gear wins!
more
Loveee that nickelodeon slime time live tele
Cool 😎
He loves his g-benders
Lemme guess it was lost in the flood?
Rebecca... 🥺
miss Rebecca
love it!
you can never have enough. check out John 5's collection.....now thats out of control
Jump to 5:57 to see a guitar that isn't a tele.
maybe it's just me, but i think he likes telecasters.
She doesn't look too interested.....but I can't blame her. If I was booked for that assignment, I'd be bored too. How many times do you wanna look at the same guitar, ugghh.
@hendrixkixas nice info, thanks alot :)
