Bless you for making these videos. It can be terribly frustrating asking your doctor only to be repeatedly told "we just don't know much". I spent thousands of dollars on medical tests for what turned out to be peri.
Wow. I’m 51 and still have a period every month, any where fro 21 to 30 days in between. It used to be every 28 days like clockwork. Also, some last 5 days and other times it’s 9 days. And, my PMS symptoms now begin about 7 days before I start. I feel like I’m just getting over it when the roller coaster starts all over, again.
I'm 58 and knew nothing about perimenopause. Heck I didn't know much about menopause until recently when I did my own research. Doctors in America do not offer much information at all. I'm on HRT and feeling and sleeping much better.
I'm almost 45 and still regular with periods but I'm finding my PMS feels worse and I do get anxiety anyway but things make me cry more and I feel irritable sometimes for no reason and very tired. Every time I feel like crying now I try Aileen's tip of breathing is helping. Also self care and being in nature is helping and I eat very well, exercise daily with my husband, lots of water and vitamins and supplements. I do worry about later on in peri menopause and then menopause but I'm focusing on being positive and enjoying every moment that I feel good. Aileen I so appreciate these videos. I no longer have my mum as she passed from cancer and friends seem to still see this subject as taboo and even though my lovely husband tries to help he is not a female so I have no female to talk to so thanks so much for all the help you provide 💕
My knees are in so much pain since 3 days now. I thought I was DONE, but my period came back with a vengeance and I cried for 3 days. I have many changes in my period and I know I'm close because I'm starting to miss and the last time I only spotted for a few days. One time I had a period that went away each night. It was great! Hang in there my fellow sisters. Beware or depression and suicidal thoughts. I was so scary and insane for a spell. Never thought I'd come out of it. I've oddly never had a hot flash.
I am 54, just had my first period that was late. I had really bad anxiety and insomnia and hip pain. I thought I was dying until I found out it was perimenopause. An older friend suggested I take magnesium. I immediately started taking magnesium with D3 and Zinc and IMMEDIATELY ALL symptoms disappeared. I’ve been taking it for 2 years now and I still sleep a solid 8 hours each night, no pain and anxiety is gone. I have never had hot flashes.
I've had a completely ridiculous time with peri, as I now have a histamine intolerance and can only manage to eat a handful of different kinds of food. I just want the wretched thing over with now. 😐
I've developed histamine sensitivity too. I feel like I cant eat anything without it bothering me one way or another. I've always had sinus/allergy issues, but now with the peri and histamine issues, I'm always miserable. I too am more than ready for this to end.
Hi Ladies Dehydration from low oestrogen can be a big factor in histamine sensitivity so don't forget to drink loads of plain water! You may also find a gentle liver detox can be helpful; the liver can get really stressed with all the hormonal changes going on and this can affect its ability to clear histamine. A Nutritional Therapist may also be able to help; they can formulate a personalised treatment plan/diet for you. Best Wishes Eileen
@@amberpipher7780 Sorry to hear you have similar issues. I think I'm most annoyed by the fact I can't go on HRT because of it. I tried last year and it was a disaster ☹
When estrogen falls, can it make you feel dizzy? This happens to me a few days before period starts. Thank you so much for all your videos, tips and advise😊

Something else that NEEDS to be talked about is this...... I was having a very challenging time with my adult child. I was blaming everything on my hormones and perimenopause. I was so depressed and low energy. Blamed it all on what it wasn't. My adult child moved out. I've been dancing everyday, haha. She is 21 now and I'm divorced. Ladies, living with someone is HARD and shouldn't be blamed on our hormones. It could be that you really need a life change. Perhaps to change a job you are miserable at. Just don't blame every struggle on the menopause. It might not be that. It might be too and you may need help from a professional.
I am almost 55. Skipped 2 Months of periods and then started. Blood work done and everything good. The fatigue is horrible for me. And I am cold and feel chilled easy.
Hi Bonnie Good to hear that your blood work is fine. Fatigue is so common as the hormone levels change so it is important to get regular rest and relaxation to allow the body to cope. Some women do feel cold rather than hot but the herb sage may still help in this situation. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi don't worry about it I was 57 when I had my last period, I've only just gone 12 months without one, I went to see a gynecologist as I had fibroids and quite a few but didn't want a hysterectomy and was told that they shrink on the menopause.... You will be fine but the symptoms on the menopause 😫😫
Hi Op A small number of women do have a late menopause and very often it can be hereditary. However, it is always wise to double check with your doctor so good to hear that you've already done this. Best Wishes Eileen
@@AvogelCoUk My mother had a hysterectomy when she was 29 as she had fibroids but obviously they know more these days and more advance, but consultant told me fibroids can be hereditary too.. My Grandmother had a late menopause too!!..

Hello! I follow you since more than a year and I want to thank you for all you unvaluable information. This time i want to ask you something that nobody can answer me so far: Is it possible to have low estrogen symthoms and estrogen dominance symthoms at the same time? I am 54 and absolutly in the perimenopause, still menstruating every month but with very clear and ugly symthoms since years ago. This year the symthoms are ugly even more. I am on bioidentical progesterone and I think it helps in some way, but still think some symthoms are really hard to solve or at least minimized. I am doing what I think are a very good choices to make less painful this transition, but I want to know if is it possible to have this two symthoms at the same time and what to do since is not a good idea to take estrogens for me right now that is evident that estrogens are dominant above progesterone. Thank you🙏🏽
Hi Matay It is possible in several ways. If oestrogen is falling quickly you can get low oestrogen symptoms but if your progesterone is really dipping this could still cause high oestrogen symptoms at the same time; it's all to do with the relationship between oestrogen and progesterone. Also, oestrogen can fluctuate quite dramatically from day to day so this could trigger high oestrogen symptoms one day then low oestrogen the next, all very confusing! Best Wishes Eileen
@@AvogelCoUk thank you very much, it make sense. It is all very confusing.
