My favourite childhood game.
I played WindWaker when it came out and Ive been a Zelda fan all my life so naturally when the theme played at the beginning I cried. It's been 14 years and my family still think I'm crazy.

how did you get so many facts wrong ? You shouldn't rush a video if it's not perfect.
Fact 41: The stained glass windows inside the Master Sword Chamber of the Hyrule Castle depict the 7 sages from Ocarina of Time.
Fact 95: Though the 7 sages never appear or are mentioned in the Wind Waker, stained glass windows in Hyrule Castle depict Rauru, Saria, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, Nabooru, but for some reason not Zelda.
Fact 41 should have said the 6 sages and not the 7 sages. Also its Fortress not forest. Sorry for the nitpick.
Also easily could have said how the center stained glass not only depicts Ganon but also the story from the game's intro.

I really don't understand why People were upset because of the Cel Shading Look. It's my favourite Zelda Game since it was released on Game Cube.
Because juvenile and insecure adolescents thought that a game has to look dark and realistic in order to not be "kiddy".

It's because fans were first shown something that looked much closer to Twilight Princess than Wind Waker. It wasn't about an ardent desire for GrimDark, as MLennholm implies, it was about the more realistic direction the art style had taken since Ocarina of Time and, again, what we were first given as the tech demo for the next game. I didn't care, by the way, but it wasn't "insecure adolescents."
Also, there was a contemporary anxiety among fans at the time that Nintendo were starting to lose their “edge”, that they were starting to appeal more to kids and produce more family friendly games than ones targeting teens and adults (Which many now could argue got proven correct). Zelda was seen as one Nintendo’s most adult oriented franchises and thus many saw the cartoon art style as indicative of Nintendo’s new direction.
A lot of these facts are wrong I think there should be more research and you should play the game first. Like "offset island" and "forsaken forest"
The funny thing is he said you can get the cyclones after “forsaken forest” which isn’t true, it’s the temple of the gods.

Because everyone is hyped for it so its a smart move making LoZ content because people are hyped and excited for Zelda, Zelda will get them views.
That and Zelda's a big f'n deal. It earned its spot at the adult table.
Interesting fact: In the final battle against Ganon, attacking Zelda will cause her to shoot a light arrow at you and if you time this right you can lock on to Ganon deflecting the arrow with your shield to get him in one hit

Fun fact: you only need to use the Master Sword a total of seven times in the entire game. The rest of the monsters can be defeated in any other method. I beat the game this way.
When I was a kid I got a game cube with this game and no memory card. And I spent many school nights trying to get as far as I could knowing I was going to lose all my progress. And start all over again. To this day though this is still one of my favorite games and I hope to play it again soon

I either completely overlooked or just didn't care about every grammatical mistake (EG: Forsaken FOREST ; OFFSET Island), I was only a LITTLE bit annoyed when he classified the tornado warping as a non-story feature, and I was a only a TAD confused when he mentioned the boot fishing.
We all make mistakes, some are more critical than most, but we have to respect the fact that they AT LEAST tried.
the cyclones are integral to the story.
you have to teleport to the mother and child islands to get the fire and ice bows, to then get the power bracelets and iron boots to enter the wind temple and earth temple.
This video taught me things I did not know and I give it credit but you guys REALLY need to make the facts things that you wouldn't know just by playing the game instead of the reverse. I played the game, I know you can get the ability to ride on tornadoes and you know why I know that? BECAUSE ITS FREAKING MANDATORY! Its required to beat the game, why are you telling us this? I understand that not everyone has played the game but the most interested people in this video are going to be people who have played it, so you are telling them information they already know, for people who haven't played it, they could simply play the game to learn it where as they'd likely never learn that you can kill the flower boss with spring water or covering in the door way to avoid getting attacked. I can't remember the exact episode but you did this kind of crap a lot more in one video, wasting facts just to talk about random and generic game play mechanics that anyone who played the game already knew, if you are only going to talk about stuff we can learn simply by playing the game then we might as well just buy the game or watch a lets play, it'd make this video pointless. Talk about interesting trivia about its development, the thought process behind it, things that people wouldn't normally know about the game and secrets, not things that people would only not know if they never picked up the game.
Ok. Paint me impressed. I had NO idea that I could've defeated Kalle Demos with forest spring water. That's amazing.
Or lesser known things. Like the figurine sidequest. With a GBA and Tingle Tuner, you can get Knuckle on Tingle's island. If you don't have a GBA connector, you will receive a figurine for Link and KotRL. However, you cannot have both.
Or when you're going after chests, I think only Triforce chests but could be wrong, you can hook a pot that spawns an Octorok after placed back in the sea.
@@chipthiefUwU I was as well, but the bit about speedrunners I didn't get. I mean... I GOT it, but if speedrunners already weren't incorporating it in runs, it would probably be because it's either slower to get the water or they skip the boss entirely.
#10 Link is called "The Hero of Time" in OoT I believe. #22 You mean a MAIN CONSOLE Zelda game won't have the same art style? #47 It's technically possible to get "The Ballad of the Gales" much earlier in game once you get the arrows from the Tower of the Gods. It's not really a tip being needed to progress in the story. And it's Forsaken Fortress, not Forest. #95 You already did that fact on #41 w/ out Ganon or the Triforce symbol. 107 is a lot I guess. #97 Hero mode had been done in Skyward Sword as well. #99 The sales of OoT have constantly been rising since it was released. WW has about the same amount of sales or more as all other Zelda games ignoring Oot, TP and the original NES one. Thanks for the video anyway! Great to see so many interesting facts!

You don't need to complete the game in order to get the deluxe pictograph. Just get a firefly from forest haven anytime even during your fist play through.

I remember when I was a kid I played Windwaker heavily whenever I was visiting my grandma on the farm. Pleasant memories. Tetra turning into princess Zelda gave me the biggest crush on Zelda and I never knew why. Still my favorite design of Zelda to this day.

The forest water trick is useless in speed runs. You have 20 (30 in Wii U) minutes to get from Forest Haven to the entire dungeon. It already takes a good 3 to fly over there. You could go back and get it once you get the boss key, but it's faster to just fight him the normal way.
cmndrkool321 It would be useful for speed runners. They have many glitches to save time. There's already a trick with the leaf that can be used to skip the part where you need to control a flower to get to the door
If speedrunners DON'T USE IT, it's either impossibly difficult, or (in this case) slower than what they were doing before.
Twilight Princess did not feature more dungeons than previous Zelda games. It had nine, like most. Forest Temple, Goron Mines, Lakebed Temple, Arbiter's Grounds, Snowpeak Ruins, Temple of Time, City in the Sky, Palace of Twilight, and Hyrule Castle. Ocarina of Time had nine. NES Zelda had nine. Link's Awakening had nine. Both Oracles had nine. FSA had nine. None of these come close to the game with the most dungeons, ALTTP, which had thirteen dungeons, which is followed closely by its homage game, ALBW, that had twelve dungeons.
I found the sidequest of finding the Triforce Shards the best one yet... Don't know why people dislike it so much.

In fact 32, you've made the connection between the goddess statues and the Pikmin creatures. I believe that both designs are based on the three wise monkeys who cover their eyes, ears, and mouth respectively as an image of the proverb, "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
For fact 47, learning the Ballad of Gales is required to finish the game as the song is needed to obtain the fire and ice arrows which are required to enter the Fire Mountain and Ice Ring Isle.
For fact 57, much like the Ballad of Gales, you have to break Tingle out of his cell in order to complete the game as he's the only one capable of deciphering the triforce charts near the end.

Ocarina of time and Majora's mask
Something no one mentioned: the first game too use the "toon art style" was either Four Swords or Minish Cap((I don't know which one came first). Evidence that Minish Cap used the style before Wind Waker, is when you beat the game, and the credits are rolling, the official art for the character((Link, Zelda, Vaati etc)) are identical to the art style of Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Sprit Tracks. In truth, three games user the art style before Wind Waker: Four Swords, Minish Cap, and Four Swords Adventures.((Feel Free to fact check me; I'm not 100% sure of release dates, I just know all six games use the same art style))

I heard that some people actually considered Wind Waker to be non-canon, simply because of the art style.
I was one of those who preordered WW and got the OoT disc. I later sold that (free) disc for $30 and my copy of WW (to upgrade to the HD vers. when it only cost $20) for $50...so I literally made money by buying one of the best games ever made!

Second... I don't recall being able to find trash when fishing for treasure chests, and I've played Wind Waker like 5 times through! It's my favorite Zelda ever! I feel like you might have got that info from some random text walkthrough online without any actual visual proof. Especially considering you didn't actually use a clip of Link finding actual trash and just edited a pair of boots in.
You can find trash. It is usually some dirty pot. I don't have proof, but I swear I'm not lying.

In the adult timeline (where this takes place) Link actually does not travel back in time after defeating Ganon and instead lives his life from that point forward.
Kevin Hardy no he doesn't because there is no hero to stop Gannon in this timeline because he went back to live his childhood so the king had to flood hyrule
He does travel back in time, that's why he never shows up again. He essentially doesn't exist in the adult time line because he goes back to the past and changes everything, thus the future he leaves behind is without a Link so Ganon comes back unopposed. The reason for two out of the three timelines is the time travel.
Adult Timeline: Link goes back to the past, thus no Link exists in this timeline when Ganon arrives, leads into Wind Waker.
Child Timeline: Link goes back to the past, reveals Ganon's plan, Ganon is arrested and attempted to be excuted, it fails, he is sealed in the Twilight Realm, this leads into Twilight Princess.
Then we have the Bad Timeline which is essentially a 'what if' where Link never defeats Ganon and dies so Ganon becomes all powerful and is sealed by the gods, funnily the original Zelda is in this timeline despite being the first game in the franchise.

Where did the images of toon link in the suit/top hat comes from?
Number 1. Wind Waker is the first Zelda game to feature different colored rupees.
Number 2. The boat Lunk sails in is not the king of Hyrule, but actually Epona.
Number 3. Despite all the water you can't swim.
