Literally just got mad because I have been LOOKING all over the tube for a simple video like this...🧍🏿... Where were you hours ago!? Lol! Thank you so much! I'm trying to teach myself how to paint and trace on canvases but I'm having difficult trying to paint a background, a simple small elephant 🐘 on a canvas with a glossy look after it's done, do you have a video on how to do solid color backgrounds?
So that original picture is a drawing I made of Rizzo using a reference photo. I'm almost positive there are apps that create a drawing for you, but if you feel comfortable doing this, you can simply trace the reference photo.
Thanks ! Any chance I missed a video of how to turn a picture of my pet to a traceable ? Or am I over thinking it ? Just print a picture and trace the main lines of the body ?
@@laurenelizabethanimalart3215 thank you so much! I went to a fancy paint class with a friend... let's just say my chihuahua doesn't look like a chihuahua... I was so depressed. I thought for the money we paid they would have given me a decent sketch
What I tell students is you can expend that photo when you print. You should just be able to use your fingers to blow it up and it will print like that. The size doesn't have to be fixed, you should be able to enlarge it easily when printing.
Hello Nina, you can use a spray varnish or a paint on varnish. I love the liquitex gloss paint on varnish, its so quick and easy. Then I'll cover that with a satin varnish (also by liquitex) to take away some of the gloss if it's too shiny. The spray varnish you can also buy from most craft stores. Goes over acrylic in seconds. Just let it dry for a day,
Great question Belle, yes it will but press hard! And make sure the background is a very light color so you can see the dark outline. Happy Painting! - Lauren
So I have a page of traceable downloads I’ve linked below which will be sent immediately to your email. If you still have issues I’m happy to email whichever ones to you. My email is lauren@laurenelizabethanimalart.com Link: laurenelizabethanimalart.com/tracing-print-outs

I don't actually. Are you just trying to make it perfectly blended and polished? I would use a blender brush to help with this. It really helps.
Wow thanks I plan to do my first painting in 2021 this will help!
Why not start now! Good luck!
Thanks for the great video ! Can you please tell me how you traced the original pictures ? Is there an app you use for this ... thanks !

suedefringe you are right! Just print a photo of your pet like I did for this cat picture. You can do this for a sketch or a photo.

Great video. Is there an app to get traceable things?
I don’t actually use an app. I don’t know of one either, yet.
The only problem I have, I like painting big but I am NOT good at sketching, so when I print the printables it's is very small.

Is there any way to trace/outline on stretched canvas for mass production?
Thank you
of course
New subscriber. How can I keep my painting fresh on a canvas ? Do I spray something? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you 😊

You can either create a sketch or trace the reference photo.

How do you trace on a canvas that you painted black?
You can buy wax paper to trace instead of charcoal paper. You can even find white chalky paper too. Great question!
