Good video. Some of us are screwed if the PLG (power lift gate) has failed prior to/in conjunction with the BUC, and won't stay open w/o clam-shelling the technician...
3:20 Not to bust your bubble, but there's a guy showing how to change the camera just by removing the left reverse light and accessing the wire that way. Also possible to pop camera out from the outside using two picks, one on each side.
Could also be the CUE/infotainment system, which has a high failure rate on most 2010-2017 Cadillacs. Also painfully common are sunroof leaks that wreak havoc on the rear liftgate motor and eventually the B/U camera (drains clog, water runs down the B/C pillars and takes out electrical wiring/circuits). This is easily prevented by performing an annual sunroof drain clean, and cleaning the channels out, but no one ever does this in America... 👀 😏

Awesome visual on what to do. Dealership wants 780 dollars to do this for a 45 dollar camera!!

I did this and it didn’t fix the issue. Still have a black screen. Fuse appears to be fine too. Any suggestions?

Fixing the Chevron on the back of my 2016 catalyzed C. T. S
