    The correct story is, that the Chinese Nationalists lost a catastrophic number of soldiers in the fight against the invasion forces from Japan. The Chinese communists stood mostly on the sidelines in the fight against the Japanese invasion forces. Only when the Japanese forces were defeated by the Nationalists, did the communists go into battle against the Nationalists. The Nationalists ended up fleeing to Taiwan. Taiwan is now a constitutional democracy, which makes the constitution of Taiwan the legitimate constitution of the entire China, including Taiwan. A one party dictatorship, that does not protect its people in accordance with the UN human rights charter, can never be a legitimate government.

    If they think killing a lot of our sailors will make the US public not support a protracted war, they have a fundamental misunderstanding of the American character. We went to war in Afghanistan for 20 years after one terrorist attack. If China starts sinking carriers, we will really get angry. Angry Americans want to crush the enemy.
    I don’t think it will be so easy for them. We have the best missile defense systems in the world, especially on our Navy ships. They have three aircraft carriers. The US has eleven of them. A majority of China’s submarines have diesel engines. They will be destroyed very quickly.
    As a veteran, I know how well our combat troops are trained. In addition there are rumors of a quiet coup against Xi Jinping recently in China. He will be kept as a figurehead, but two other guys will be in control. I have no idea what this means for the topic of this video. There are significant political and economic problems inside the CCP right now. The Chinese people are not happy with their government. I’m not sure it will be possible for them to prosecute a war under these conditions.

    Taiwan is not a "breakaway province". Even if you count Taiwan as part of China, the government of Taiwan is the ROC (Republic of China). That has not changed. The government of Taiwan is the same government as that of China from 1912. The PRC (People's Republic of China), the current government of mainland China, has never had any jurisdiction or power over Taiwan for even a single second. It's more a matter of the PRC. having taken control of mainland China, needs to take control of the last small island. (I doubt it would stop there.) This says nothing good about the psychological fragility of those Chinese who obsess over the need to conquer Taiwan for the sake of "saving face".

    • @janusjones6519
      @janusjones6519 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct taiwan never broke away, it’s simply being ruled by a government in exile. Technically they are the same country.

    OK, it's a compilation. But it's so much outdated.
    China is good for Africa? Lately multiple African Countries have huge economical problems because they don't get an economical boost from the Chinese investments they have to pay off while at the same time the Governments are turning into dictatorships. The people are living in poverty and complaining about Chinese companies are only hiring Chinese people.
    There were also news from those countries that they bought Chinese tanks (from the Credits they got from China) and those tanks are in a terrible state. These weren't the newest Chinese tanks.
    You information here is years old.
    India as possible ally of China? Because of the semi active conflict between India and China I think that is impossible. That conflict is going on for ever. Not even years ago that would been a good prediction.
    Where you are right is that India is not allying with anyone. India is trying to keep all options open. Especially since the war in Ukraine they are buying heavily from Russia as prices are kind of low. But they also try to get military products from western countries. Besides that there are also reports about India trying to build up an own military production. Probably because India sees a huge risk in having to become an unwilling ally of the western countries or Russia.
    China is just so much out of the picture.
    Like the "Greeks in Thermopylae"? The Greeks lost in Thermopylae. That battle was only important because it gave the Greeks enough time to evacuate cities like Athene but Athene was looted.

    • @stemill1569
      @stemill1569 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They try. Not just in the US.
      In Africa they are loosing a lot of money as the countries who didn't get excessive money from the WTO are now unable to pay Chinese credits back.
      Let's be honest. What could China do?
      They can destroy the US farming land by using bad farming practice. Well...US farmers are already good at that. So no big change.
      In case of a war the "Chinese assets would at least be freezed and put under local control if not even "naturalized". Either under State control or given/sold to local companies.
      So what can China do with the farmland? They can right now earn money with it. Meaning US Dollars are not staying within the US economy but going into Chinese banks to strengthen the Chinese economy while also weakening the US economy.

    • @nathanstake
      @nathanstake 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Well all world wars were started by communists for one. The US is a democratic country!
      Also like previous communist regimes, the CCP have ideals of global dominance which is the second reason.
      Third, China is a decaying nation - their 62Trillion USD real estate economy is in the toilet, their manufacturing economy has been on a harsh decline since Covid, and they need land and resources to sustain its population.
