Worship helps focus those emotions even more, someone being messily killed with an axe is meat and potatoes for Khorne but done by a follower, for the express intent of doing it for Khorne is the sweet desert. The main reason for Chaos Cultists and followers is how they go out and create the emotional energy by doing the things to create it, "worship" or knowledge of the being isnt necessary. Not even for the actual birthing of a Chaos God, Slaanesh was never worshiped for example but being the Emperor of Mankind isn't an emotional state that creates a psychic echo in the warp.

I have been into 40k for just over 2 years. I know I'm new to the hobby but i cannot understand how this channel doesn't have 10 times more subs. It is by far my favorite as a painter and a lore junkie. Ave Imperator.

Probably, conversation with Custodes for good measure. Also remember, how our author skilfully works as uncertain narrator (masterfully done in Ordo Sinister) - and here, this is gone, as Lord Reagant can provide accurate records.

And I think doing a video on the Lord Regent himself would be an interesting change of pace for the Oculus, as he himself would note the irregularity of having an actual first-hand account from the Primarch himself.

Not sure if anyone else has thought of this, but we simply must blow up Henry Cavills social media about This channel. What ever Cavills planning. This guy deserves to be part of it! Excellent acting bro.
The Oculus, after getting depressed over studying the atrocities of the Horus Heresy and the Miserable Slaughters of the Siege of Vraks, deicides to try and cheer himself up by regaling the tales of the noble saints of the imperium. Now he’s researched himself into another existential crisis and is depressed all over again. Perhaps recounting the valiant deeds of the loyal legions during the Heresy might cheer him up…
It is a wonderful but bitter character arc that the more Oculus explores his reality, its nature and its history, the more cynical he becomes. His path will doubtlessly send him into deeper and deeper despair, but I would love to see whether he will push through the darkness and find something worth all his efforts at the end.

Unfortunately, the Man-Emperor's Imperial Truth stripped humanity of its natural defenses. He starved the human gods without seriously impacting the Chaos Gods. If anything, destroying mankind's religions allowed more to fall into worship of the Chaos Gods. Worse, in his quest to destroy the Chaos Gods he gave to them six of his sons.
I wonder how this nuanced concept of living saints squares with the Heretic Saint Ephereal Stern? She IS a psyker but also manifests powers that are beyond that of any conventional psyker and her faith cannot be questioned by any who's own faith is sufficient to place them in the postion to ask the questions?

It's a real tragedy that a guy like Oculus Imperia can't derive any kind of comfort from the existence of an actual living Saint in the Imperium. One gets the distinct impression that his sanity is hanging by a thread.
I love that in 40K the Imperial Truth is actually a lie. Little stuff like that is what really makes the setting for me. As for the Saints, watching parts of the Guard high command shit themselves after Saint Sabbat re-incarnates at Herodor and they have to factor a minor living manifestation of the Emperor's will into things never gets old. Bloody inconvenient when religion gets real.
