The Vhnori Resurgence is probably one of my favourite little lore bits, simply because its a rebellion that didn't have Chaos or Xenos secretly behind it, but Human political differences.
The moments of great crusade where the deployment of the legions is recorded can bring feelings of awe, or wonder. These men of myth, the emperors own, crafted for conquest fill the mind with images of lost glory and power. However, there are those legions whose mention elicits simple dread. The 1st, 4th, 8th, 12th and 14th can shake the mind, with their images of ruination, planets drowning in blood and bodies, or choking on chemicals ashes, or even brought low by simple brutal attrition. However, the night lords stand out from the rest, through the sheer malice and pleasure the bastard sons of Kurze took from abject terror and brutalisation. In fact, it was no wonder that the night lords were amongst those who turned their backs on the Emperor. In fact, it was a wonder that it took them so long to fall.
The eerie narration at the end instilled me with a small shiver of fear...as always and ever, your voice work lends such a weight to this history, and I genuinely ask myself which is worse...the abominations unleashed within the hive cliffs by the Crimson Walkers...or the monsters in midnight clad? Worse, better, the same? Even in unification, the Emperor was no stranger to...horrific methods. Submit, or be destroyed... I love your lore videos, and listen to every single one. Go ndaire an t-ath leat, Oculus. Ave Imperator. Gloria in Exelcis Terra.
As much as one has to love Jago.. I would still give him back in exchange of Night hunters twisted version of justice.. We all know how well his approach to it worked as soon as he was gone..
