That was fun and beautiful with the sunset and thd amazing bridges and educational. Where I live in the Netherlands, in the city of Tilburg, near the Belguim border. We also had a lot of old buildings from industry, and also now one by one they are fixed up and made into public places, like a library or a restaurant etc. I love it, because it kinda looks a bit "raw" but beautiful in it's rawness. Makes me very proud of my cuty, because we don't throw away our historical buildings, we reuse it. Thanks for the video I hope soon you 2 can do video's together again. Love them!😃👍❤

Thank you, this was an excellent video and narration. I am glad you mentioned the ports. I saw ships docked in an old video from 1911, and someone said they are now moved, and I was too embarrassed to say why or where. I am not from the U.S. but I definitely plan to visit some day in this decade.
Jane's Carousel (formerly Idora Park Merry-Go-Round) is a carved, wooden, 48-horse carousel that was built in 1922 for the Idora Park amusement park in Youngstown, Ohio by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. (I’m from Youngstown)
the reason the neighborhood is so great , is because of the magnificent location , and because the buildings are not only strong , but the spaces were big - actually many people were living there long before the 90's , long before the area was mostly yuppyfied and mostly ruined !!
Walking streets of DUMBO in 2009 the streets were literally empty. The picture I took back then - empty Washington street, Manhattan bridge with ESB in the middle - still hangs in frame on may wall at home.

New skyscraper alert at 22:00: 161 Maiden Lane (1 Seaport) at 670' now looks like the tallest building on the skyline by roof height. Not so fun facts: 161 Maiden Lane, aka 1 Seaport, is a residential skyscraper under construction in the Financial District of Manhattan. The building currently leans three inches to the north as a result of the method used to construct its foundation. The tilting is the subject of a lawsuit between the developer, Fortis Property Group, and engineering firm Pizzarotti. The building topped out in September 2018. In 2018 an employee of a subcontractor working on the site died after falling from the building's 29th floor.

I like this duo! Tom has great knowledge of Brooklyn. To improve next video, try to move a camera a little bit less around, and invest in a better microphones, there was a lot of background noises and distortions. The video quality is superb though.
that's the guy to make a video with on STRAUSS PARK ( Broadway 106 Street crossing with West End Avenue... It's a mini Park dedicated to the story of IDA STRAUSS ( there is a bronze sculpture of her ) and how she refused to safe her life by getting on a lifeboat of the TITANIC but shared the fate of her husband and of the ship and went down the icy waters...
I love when Tom is around, he's a wealth of interesting information.
