    • @ActionKid

    My earliest memories of New York were in the mid sixties when i went down from Montreal where I grew up to walk around in the Easter Parade. My mother was really big on dressing me up like the little prince and trotting me around in her mink stole. That was a pretty common occurrence for mothers at the time. It is not how you feel it is how you look. Thank god both the mink and the entire genre of treating your kids like little dress up objects has long passed. Despite the obvious hypocrisy I always felt excited by New York. It has a certain magic, that lives in me and comes out every time I visit. I went back through the years, with my dad in 78 and again visiting friends in 87 and then with my own son around 2010. There is something about New York that still excites me, but because i live in Vancouver about 3k miles away, I don't know when I will get back there, but I know I will. These guys did a great job of taking me back to one of my favorite cities. I can't wait to watch their next video.

    23:19 - You're absolutely right, the Bull is made out of Bronze. Also, Bronze primarily consists of Copper.

    Just rewatching your DUMBO post with Tom in February! Wow so different! Tom no long hair, no beard and no hat! 1month before Covid 19 shutdown and you look no older😃😃

    And I thought New York was named after York, in England. So many towns in USA named after places there. I always saw Hamilton's grave from Rector Street, walking from Rector Street #1 train stop to walk to the east side where I worked on Maiden Lane. Tom talks so fast!!!

    Ken, I can't believe you don't know who Keith Richard is! World-famous guitarist since the 60s. You need to get familiar with some Rolling Stones songs, pronto! Love your videos with Tom; he's hilarious and has a wealth of knowledge about New York 😊

      In this day and age, I believe it is okay if one wants to
      listen to modern foreign music (K-Pop) if he wishes, instead of old school
      music such as the Rolling Stones, etc.

    • @FionaEm
      @FionaEm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@XxDemB0nesxX Who said anything about K-Pop? Ken said he listens to Boston and ELO, who are also "old school" (to use your term). And sure, young ppl don't have to listen to the Stones, but they should know who they are and their place in shaping music. I wasn't around when Elvis was at the height of his fame, but I still know who he is.

      @@FionaEm I understand, it is essential to have a 'Jeopard-iac'
      general knowledge. I'll have 'What band does Keith Richards
      play in for 200, Alex.'

    Hey Tom. It looks like the tree by the NYSE is not a sycamore. Looks more like a locust. Worth looking into
