There is a very noticeable difference. The movements are more sluggish, it takes a bit time to react to the rudder. More directional stable and handles the seas better it felt like 🙏
Electric only makes eco sense if your current engine is too far gone to economically fix, and even then it's debatable. The environmental costs of manufacturing an entire new system of propulsion outweigh the emissions of this tiny diesel, especially if you incorporate as many batteries as you need to achieve any kind of meaningful range. Or you run a generator to bridge the gap. Maybe in another ten years solar/renewable and battery tech will have evolved enough to make electric a more viable option for serious cruising.
@@danielpenniall5032 I agree with most of it but it certainly looks like today’s technology is good enough for going full electric for cruising. Several TH-camrs doing it and they seem happy with it

Hi, great video. Is there a heater on board?
Thx! Yes, there’s a bootleg chinese diesel heater onboard and it works fantastic
Great video does it sell boat handle better than the old one or just the same?

The sound of a small engine is way less overwhelming. But still you should go electric :D
I absolutely love this engine! I will use it until it falls apart. then I would definitely go full electric ⚡️
