back in 97 i gave my 1st haircut to a friend right before we attended a concert. everybody thought I did a great job on that Mohawk so all my friends started coming to me for their cuts. 20 years later i am a licensed barber in the state of Pennsylvania. i have everything from Oster 76, Oster Octane, Fast Feed, Wahl Senior, Wahl Designer, Andis Master, and everything in between....but i still have that originally Conair clipper at my station and I'll never get rid of it because it represents how far I've come and how much ive grown
I've started cutting hair at the age of 11 in my grandmother's restroom with Wal mart clippers (just 1 pair) and I bought the Clippers took them apart and I remind you all I didn't know a single thing about clippers but I experimented with them til I was able to figure out what 0 gap was and make them sharp enough to edge up and cut and mastered the fade with just 1 single pair of Wal mart clippers and I can still do it today thank GOD Almighty for this GOD given talent
chris bossio honestly you did good with some walmart clrippers I'm 15 years old and i cut my hair with walmart clippers and this inspired me to keep doing it im not a person with money so thats why i have to buy walmart clippers you are a inspiration for me thank you
my mom used walmart clippers on me when i was younger and she became a fire little barber. My hair was always good. I'd personally get something better, but she did good with what she had
Proud of you Chris, we don't know each other. I'm the guy from VA 703. Always writing on your channel but I've learned so much thanks for the free knowledge. Your very humble guy.. thanks
Based from some of the comments. Honestly you can cut good from any brand of clippers. Just make sure they're zero gapped and that the blades are oiled properly. If maintained, it'll cut good
when you said, "good people gravitate to this channel" and this being my first time watching you, that was amazing for you to say that! DEFINITELY coming back!
Gotta be one of my favorite videos of yours! Especially towards the end when talking about the lost art of barbering, having a true passion for it!🔥💈✂️✨️ "you can teach people how to cut hair, you can't teach them how to be good people"💯💯
It's June 2019; I've watched all the Wal-Mart Challenge. I want to say Thank you for not complaining about how cheezy the clippers your using and how it's not to your liking. I know there's awesome barber clippers that are wonderful to use. I use to have the Wahl Corded Color Pro Color, I let my sister friend stay with us and he stole it. So, I bought the Andis EasyCut Home Haircutting Kit. What I've notice the Andis is lighter than Wahl's, but the cord is shorter (the down side). My son said, "Wow mom this one does pull like your old ones, and its very smooth cut." very happy to hear. Happy to find your channel when looking for more information on Andis RACA, but started watching challenges instead. Thank you for showing your skill and giving me confidence cheap clippers are still workable. "You just need to know how to use it". New subscriber. 😁👍🌻🧡💇♂️💯%
I still have my chrome wahl clippers from like 15 yrs ago from Walamart. I dont use them much cause ive upgraded but once in a while i'll cut with them to bring me back haha
Everything he is saying is accurate. Im a USMC vet and I opened my own shop before I got a license. Every book he recommended will help you with your business and how to be a good person.
Such a dope cut with what you had. It does take skill to cut. The barber makes the clippers work, not the other way around. It's just like the player makes the shoes, not the other way around. Keep up the work you too!
Thanks for your videos learn every day from them to be honest I was 16 and I was interested in becoming a barber and I started off using Walmart clippers and watching you 360 Jeezy I learned a lot more and I have my clientele up I'm 18 now and I have oster fast feeds and andis masters and I've grow blc of you and jeezy teaching me thanks man and happy new year
I couldn't see that good on Instagram but damn, now I can see how blurry it really came out!!and the chipmunk voices are on point bro!😂😂😂I think you should use that voice on all your tutorials 😂😂😂😂😂jj!!nice cut man!
Damn you dropped some real gems. In case you missed it, when ur in barber school don't feel entitled to receive a tip. The fact that someone is allowing you to learn on their hair is tip enough. I knew a lot of guys who tried this field and within their first few months of cutting were more worried about making money then actually perfecting their cuts and eventually gave up. Just like in every service industry the money will come when the service is at its best. And the other was when he said he hires good people not good barbers. It's crazy how now a days you go into a shop and some of these barbers treat you like if they're the ones paying you to cut your hair. Customer service is at a all time low and it's disgusting.
Mr Bossio this haircut is really clean man, to you taking out the 0 open line with close and angled clipper on the sides, your clipper over comb with the fine tooth of the comb is notch on the top with your shaping with those little scissors! I use a eyebro razor on me and did not know you would use those Walmart ones and make it look easy and great, thank you for sharing this, while my setup is still growing all I need is skill and it is fun cutting with good equipment
The fade came out nice. Your fading ability really is above par. I really liked the back and forward youz and your boy had going with the Q&A. I like the little bits of learning info youz throw out there, thanks again.
"You can teach people how to cut hair, you can't teach them how to be good people."- Chris Bossio. This is the best quote I have ever heard in the Barbering industry.
man chris im obsessed with you , your hustle work ethic and your mindset i was watching a video the other day where you was talking about going from arbys gm and the transition to barber school, yesterday i went and toured aveda in orlando and i cried like a spoiled kid bein homless and barley affording black dress code clothes from goodwill hit hard been wanting to barber for years but my og always talked me out “dream bigger” im more motivated than ever to chase my dreams cant wait to take that trip to tampa and get 30-40 mins to chop it up with you 1 on 1
bro great cut! it was definitely a challenge especially with those clippers, there was no power at all. but you had the skills to thug it out touche! but the knowledge and game you dropped on us in this vid was priceless. yo definitely have a new subscriber!!
The haircut is clean but not as crisp as it can be when using more prominent clippers.... the trimmers were mediocre ...but from 1 to 10....i give it a 8
chris bossio lol i know push backs dont count. but i do have sharp eyes . idk if it was the clippers or not but i do know a str8 line when i see one. but like i said the cut was clean fam no hard feelings. from barber to barber
+Armin Redfern no hard feelings .. I've known this guy forever.. some things aren't realized till you experience it.. his hairline would be one of those things you ain't making straight unless you doing something unnatural . I definitely won't argue that it's not a straight line don't take a sharp eye to tell that but I will argue some people can't take a straight line
chris bossio oh yeh facts bruh. Before I started cutting hair. I wud get my hair cut last just so I could watch the barbers cut clients hair. A barber had pushed my hairline back. So when I went to a better barber they asked who cut my hair. It was sum1 from their job that did a horrible job. So they had to use Bigen black out to bring it back but the cut was free. Lesson learned some hairlines can be saved some can't.
Yooo love the editing! I was rolling man. Cut was mint🌿 and I love the fact you looking for good people. That's brilliant. I don't take my kids to the barbershop because of the slime that goes in there. Cut dem myself man. TH-cam channels like yours reignited my passion. Thx.
The boy bossio can fade with any clipper bruh! Cuts clean! Crazy how some people think the tools make the barber. Some have all the tools but can't do a fresh fade.
Bossio, you kill the game no matter the clipper. great cut my man. this just goes to prove that its not the tool or machine but the man using them. those wahl elites though are a tough little package. 50.00 is a bit steep but seeing that they come with the premium wahl guards with the 1/16 and 3/16 it isn't too bad. the clippers are not the best but the cape is much better than the Conair one LOL. thanks again for another great vid my brother. have a blessed year bruh.
chris bossio oh yeah I feel ya. I found one on ebay that was an open case or store return that was never used for like 30.00 shipped. I figured the guards alone were worth that. the clipper is iffy but its not bad. it has the thick, rounded power cord so I just swapped out that precision blade with a 5 star wedge blade to see whats up and its not that bad of a clipper. not a senior, legend, or magic clip but not that far off from the legend or magic clip with the blade swap. not too sure of the motor but I think its at least the V5000 motor wahl used to use. just a bit bulky and not quite as ergonomically friendly. for 30.00 bucks it was worth it to see what was up with it. definitely the best home clipper on the market that could possibly hold up in a shop or a good clipper for a beginner or something.
I have watched all the Walmart challenges so far... You made me change just a top two to a top three... I watched yours last... You Chukka Torres and NicoVersace... Based on y'all overall cut... Three very skilled barbers...
This is a very nice haircut, I have to give credit where it is due just one thing really it is not so much the clippers bro it's the barber and his mind's eye. I pretty much know barber history (i'm a licensed Barber here in Chicago) i've seen old school Barbers cut the shizzle out of someones hair with the old school clippers (hand held with no motor works by squeezing the metal arms together making the blades move) so this is a great challenge for those that watch unknowingly thinking it's the clippers that make the cut nice so a cheap pair of clippers will be more difficult to attain what you did, again great job but it is totally not the case. funny i've even seen some inmates at my old job (Joliet correctional facility) give a client a bald fade with a Razor and a German Fromn comb, shears get all the weight lines out and keep the top length at a 1 1/2 oh and a pair of andis liners i've never in my life seen anything like it thing that got me was how the barber made the 2nd line without adjustable clippers just clipper over comb and reverse beveling then clipper over combed the third line used the comb to cut the top down to desired length used the liners to get the 1st line out then beveled and free handed the cut until finished. It took about an hour. I'm by no means trying to say anything negative i just see that you are a good barber no matter the tool and for that i reason i had to say something. I hope you do get more followers but you need a harder challenge this is too easy for your skill set!! How about cutting round celled hair and do it whole cut clipper over comb no guards, just non adjustable clippers and liners and a razor and the top length should be like a 2, also no weight lines close or from distance, when standing back a short distance you should not be able to see lines of demarkation, should look like horizon light to dark !! We used to have this challenge in Barber college almost everyday barber college was 6 months was tough. Hit me on youtube if you do this challenge i want to check you out i like seeing barbers do this i remember how hard it was made my eyes sharp as hell and i learned that you can't just give everyone cookie cutter haircuts i give out hair styles not haircuts and it is a difference some people do not look right with a bald fades and other look great with them the style has to fit their face no matter what they ask for if i see something different and they insist on a cut that will not fit them i pass the client on cause i've been doing this for over 20 years and i do have expertise in this field when it comes to seeing head shapes and knowing what cut fits a person's face.
i needed some cheap clippers a while back. i had bought some cordless plastic-chrome conairs for $15 them bitches with the blade closed had a big ass space between the top and bottom blade. no way to push the blade up i guess if you dont want to bald or be even close to bald then it was no big deal but hey, where else can you get a set of adjustable cordless clippers for $15 they was on clearance, the $30 ones you seen were like the replacement with a better battery (lithium)
I use that wahl $20 one and a andis T outliner. and make my sister cut it lol. I don't see myself paying $15-20 a cut plus tip plus my hair grows out in a week.
Subaru Wrx I hear you. I'm a white girl wit very, very short hair that I trim myself every single Friday wit the Wahl clippers. Much more economical of course. I love these videos to learn more tips. Thank you.
Great job on the cut homie! I like the way you guys think as a shop hiring people who are like you guys and not just cause they're good barbers. If only I knew barbershops similar to y'all down here in Toronto I would apply to them in a heartbeat lol
luv how he said anyone can b a Barber....shops r lookin for good plp...as long as u r a good person we can teach u how to cut hair....an btw....u killed it w the Walmart afro taper!!! lmao!!!
The most "real" comment I've heard from the mouths of Millennials..."You can teach people to be good barbers"; " you can't teach barbers to be good people". Great Message to put out there Chris!
He’s right going to school for business is mainly to run a someone else’s business. Every person that has started a good business never went for a higher education on business. One thing in my opinion, take some courses in accounting. It’ll definitely help especially if you have someone else running your business.
devon lussier love the profile pic bro. lol go patriots #patsnation ..chris has taught me alot in his videos. I'm going to go to barber school and hopefully be as successful as him and more one day. much love from the 317
chris bossio bro u Killin it. u def knocked it out the park...like I said in the comment below u inspired me and have taught me alot when it comes to being a barber and an entrepreneur. thanks alot bro for the videos u post. ...one question and I know u get alot and may not have time for me but it never hurts to ask . in your opinion what are the best fading clippers . I've tried alot and haven't found one I really like or I may and I know I have a long way to go to becoming a great barber like you. #bigupsbro #ambition
bossio you got the best advice for someone like me with passion for the barber industry and I have barely even broke the suface of the industry. I have the hungwe to learn and keep learning.
A good pair of clippers is a plus a great pair makes it so much easier but you work with what you have and upgrade when you can but the clippers don't make the barber it's the other way around
EJones did the samething but he went back at the end and fix it with the masters... but hey... u killed it bro.... very nice..... i would like to see 360jz do it....
hey chris can you do a video explaining step by step how to do clipper over comb or scissor over comb? I really don't understand that but I really want to be able to do it. clean ass cut tho I was waiting to see this video lol, you're a big inspiration, not just for me but I'm pretty sure for many other future barbers
it looks fresh man. if a person know how to cut it don't matter if the clippers cost $30 or $100 they gonecome up with a real nice cut. Yea the more expensive ones may be better, but when you starting out or don't got much money. gotta do what ya gotta do.
I buy my Andis headliner at walmart. I use it to dry shave, line up my mustache, beard and eyebrows. and you can adjust the blade. they cut really sharp for a close shave
those trimmers you used were my first ever trimmer when I started cutting myself and my brother but The hair cut came out fresh!!!! I was surprised but that's all skill 👌🏽
love watching your videos !!! Thank you so much for everything that you post. I learn from you daily. Im an up and coming barber to be and just starting school so its awesome to have these videos as tools. Thank Fam !!!
LMAOROFLCTFU!! Y'all had me rollin' with the clipper cracks and the chipmunk voices. Cut looks on point to me Chris♥I don't think it's entirely about the clippers, it's the skill of the barber. Going to barber school should enhance your skill which means you should start cutting before enrolling.
+Kay Gee he did kill it big ups to him.. I should've called this the conairs challenge though no half guards or 1 and half! But big ups to him .. nico is a could dude
back in 97 i gave my 1st haircut to a friend right before we attended a concert. everybody thought I did a great job on that Mohawk so all my friends started coming to me for their cuts.

Rate the wahl designer
Lmao ok
I've started cutting hair at the age of 11 in my grandmother's restroom with Wal mart clippers (just 1 pair) and I bought the Clippers took them apart and I remind you all I didn't know a single thing about clippers but I experimented with them til I was able to figure out what 0 gap was and make them sharp enough to edge up and cut and mastered the fade with just 1 single pair of Wal mart clippers and I can still do it today thank GOD Almighty for this GOD given talent
I started with the Walmart wahl color guard set , and some t outliners I got made fun of in the shop until they seen I was doing same quality cuts
Ramon Johnson real shit thats bcause the motor is v5000 just like the pros , only diff is the home cord guys..
@ at the time i used the straight razor then outliners to take that line out
@ they can be, but they are an amazing tool 100% worth learning
Ramon Johnson first of all fuck the other barbers cause they know that was them one day second of all bless them skills up even more now bro 👏🏾
TheEraXO I bet ya u woulda made fun of the nigga too. So chill out it’s all a matter of perspective.
chris bossio honestly you did good with some walmart clrippers I'm 15 years old and i cut my hair with walmart clippers and this inspired me to keep doing it im not a person with money so thats why i have to buy walmart clippers you are a inspiration for me thank you
How has your journey gone bro I’ve been wanting to start forever and finally am thinking of just going for it
@@jasontorrez8964 go for it bro cutting hair is like threapy sometimes it’s helps with stress take your mind of things
You’ve come along way bro!
my mom used walmart clippers on me when i was younger and she became a fire little barber. My hair was always good. I'd personally get something better, but she did good with what she had
Triggly Puff my mom fucked my hair all the way up lol
when I was younger
Triggly Puff My mom took like 2 hours to cut
mine was pretty quick tbh. Just under 45 minutes with crappy clippers.
shout out to ya moms, no direspect, my moms was the same way.
I agree w/ everything he said about school. If you don't know what you want to do DON'T go to school yet. Waste of money
Proud of you Chris, we don't know each other. I'm the guy from VA 703. Always writing on your channel but I've learned so much thanks for the free knowledge. Your very humble guy..
thanks
thats amazing that u did that dope cut with walmart clippers... especially conairs! Blend is butter. much barber love.
That was clean bro, nice job. I bow down to your clipper over comb game, it's legendary.
“You could teach people how to cut hair, you can’t teach people to be good people” - 🐐 Big factss!! 💯💯
That’s pretty basic stuff
Based from some of the comments. Honestly you can cut good from any brand of clippers. Just make sure they're zero gapped and that the blades are oiled properly. If maintained, it'll cut good
Chris like your style and your attitude, down to earth. Great quality on them cuts fresh
when you said, "good people gravitate to this channel" and this being my first time watching you, that was amazing for you to say that! DEFINITELY coming back!
+Jordan Snodgrass thx bro that's awesome .. greatful to have you a part of the channel
it just shows you its all about your skills, you can get great results with cheap clippers
Gotta be one of my favorite videos of yours! Especially towards the end when talking about the lost art of barbering, having a true passion for it!🔥💈✂️✨️ "you can teach people how to cut hair, you can't teach them how to be good people"💯💯

One of the best barber videos out there! Respect
+650degreez thx man!
"This is a trash bag man" lol😂
You killed this cut with some basic clippers
Such a dope cut with what you had. It does take skill to cut. The barber makes the clippers work, not the other way around. It's just like the player makes the shoes, not the other way around. Keep up the work you too!
This is good stuff bro. Proof that nice looking work comes from mostly the barber. Then the tools.
Thanks for your videos learn every day from them to be honest I was 16 and I was interested in becoming a barber and I started off using Walmart clippers and watching you 360 Jeezy I learned a lot more and I have my clientele up I'm 18 now and I have oster fast feeds and andis masters and I've grow blc of you and jeezy teaching me thanks man and happy new year

humbleness!! integrity and a desire to grow as an individual and most important a barber!!!! keys to be a headlines barber if i may!!!!
+rainier gomez yessir thx for being such an important source to the upcoming guys bro!
Your haircut with cheap clippers is still 100× better than my haircuts with decent clippers. Keep up the good work!

good point about "we hire good people before good haircutters" you can teach anyone to be a barber, but not everyone is a good person
Cutting hair is an art form, man! Passed from generations
I respect that you used the Conair clippers like 360 Jeezy. Makes it a real challenge
you just inspired me to another level. the real MVP. clean with wal mart clippers...
Yooo love the editing! I was rolling man. Cut was mint🌿 and I love the fact you looking for good people. That's brilliant. I don't take my kids to the barbershop because of the slime that goes in there. Cut dem myself man. TH-cam channels like yours reignited my passion. Thx.
Dawg!!!! U just might be the COLDEST on the Net for that one Homes!!!!!!GREAT WORK!!!!
+kay meadz thx man means a lot!!!
The boy bossio can fade with any clipper bruh! Cuts clean! Crazy how some people think the tools make the barber. Some have all the tools but can't do a fresh fade.
Unreal bro. Those clippers/razors were the worst and you gave him a professional cut. Very dope.
no doubt this challenge was lit..the fade on point...the line up wit eyebrow shapers...man Bossio killed it...

Best video ever hahaha Bossio is the GOAT
#walmartChallenge accepted 💈💯
i needed some cheap clippers a while back. i had bought some cordless plastic-chrome conairs for $15
them bitches with the blade closed had a big ass space between the top and bottom blade. no way to push the blade up
i guess if you dont want to bald or be even close to bald then it was no big deal
but hey, where else can you get a set of adjustable cordless clippers for $15
they was on clearance, the $30 ones you seen were like the replacement with a better battery (lithium)
I use that wahl $20 one and a andis T outliner. and make my sister cut it lol. I don't see myself paying $15-20 a cut plus tip plus my hair grows out in a week.
Screwhead GTA_Addict you're bragging about not tipping? Piece of shit.
well if your paying 12 for a cut you get what you pay for n thats a supercuts fade lmfao either that or your barber is extremely generous
+Jian Fredrick Villanueva thx. Dope to see you can recognize that! Means a lot.
This was the best one hands down slime! And you did it with the conair click clipper! 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
luv how he said anyone can b a Barber....shops r lookin for good plp...as long as u r a good person we can teach u how to cut hair....an btw....u killed it w the Walmart afro taper!!! lmao!!!
I'm about to open my own shop. looking for good people vs good barbers/stylist is the best advice I heard...
True spoken words at the end of the video.( Good people, speech) Good job
The most "real" comment I've heard from the mouths of Millennials..."You can teach people to be good barbers"; " you can't teach barbers to be good people". Great Message to put out there Chris!
He’s right going to school for business is mainly to run a someone else’s business. Every person that has started a good business never went for a higher education on business. One thing in my opinion, take some courses in accounting. It’ll definitely help especially if you have someone else running your business.
I think this one the winner outta the Walmart challenges
Notification squad!!!!!! share and smash that like button. lets grow!!! #roadto100k

+Jake Yak thx you man.. hunger for more will take you a long way as long as there is action behind it.. let's grow man 2k17
chris bossio 💯
A good pair of clippers is a plus a great pair makes it so much easier but you work with what you have and upgrade when you can but the clippers don't make the barber it's the other way around
+Alex Quintero exactly
i kinda liked the clicking sound of the lever it made it easyier to see when you were using it to get that blurry fade
+Danny Blanco that's perspective does make it cool
bossio got so much wisdom man.
Yo this video was just the kinda challenge we wanna see, aside from an entertaining video u showed how skilled u are man damn
+Bruce wayne thx bro glad you liked it!
+Julio Reyes I'll def get to it . Have a lot of videos in the barrel 👍🏽
chris bossio thanks bro
That looks legit. I couldn't tell the difference but you got some skills Chris
+Manuel Martinez thank you!
it looks fresh man. if a person know how to cut it don't matter if the clippers cost $30 or $100 they gonecome up with a real nice cut. Yea the more expensive ones may be better, but when you starting out or don't got much money. gotta do what ya gotta do.
+T Watkins facts
I buy my Andis headliner at walmart. I use it to dry shave, line up my mustache, beard and eyebrows. and you can adjust the blade. they cut really sharp for a close shave
The Wahl elite pro was my first pair of clippers man they cut good now I use the andis masters!!
those trimmers you used were my first ever trimmer when I started cutting myself and my brother but The hair cut came out fresh!!!!
Going to barber school should enhance your skill which means you should start cutting before enrolling.
that's a lot of work but it takes skill to achieve that cut with those Clippers thanks Chris you're awesome
I got those wahl trimmers bc my dad had me on a budget, when I get older and have my own money I’m definitely getting some good liners😈
Dude came in looking like Carlton and left the chair lookin like Ezekiel Elliot.
