Am I correct understanding that a double pole double throw ‘DPDT’ switch is necessary to do this, or could I accomplish the same with a double pole single throw ‘DPST’ switch? Thank you for your helpful videos.

Where does the third wire go?

Hi Jason, The third wire is the common so it would go to the GND terminal on the IO module. An oversight on our part - thanks for pointing it out!

Can this also be wired with the run and stop both normally open?

With this configuration mode, can i set the frecuency via HMI local ? OR just via remote With potentiometer ? How can i set frecuency UP to 3 hz in this mode ?

With this configuration, we left the speed at default which is local keypad control. You can select your speed with the arrow keys.

@@fernandogutierrez8268 P121 is the backup reference. Basically, you can think of it as a default. That is why in this video the motor runs at 3Hz, but can be adjusted via the keypad.

Typically a toggle switch is used for 2-wire control. Just SPDT on/off. For 3-wire control normally 2 momentary pushbuttons are used - a N.O. (normally open) for start and an N.C. (normally closed) for stop. I am not familiar with a toggle switch that would work. It would need to be 3 position, spring return to center with one side being N.C. and the other N.O.

@@automationdirect Actually I was just wondering if I could use the on/off switch that came on my Kysor/Johnson horizontal band saw. It has a nifty arraignment which turns the saw off when the cut is finished. This switch is just a rocker switch, three wires: on, off, and ground/common though, not two momentary switches.
I appreciate your help supporting these drives, it makes the difference between me, not electrically intelligent, getting the thing working or not.
