Professor Mearsheimer is the voice of reason . If we only had an individual like him in government , things could be different with respect to our relationship with Israel. We need someone in government who can exert the necessary pressure on Netanyahu to put the breaks on with his military campaigns. 4:59
US is too democratic and decentralised. President alone isn't centre of power. Israel has installed its people in universities, courts, fbi, cia, army, arms suppliers, media, banks, what not? How would you control them all one by one?

Thanks Prof. for your core insight, I firmly believe that the people in America and Europe are genius and kind, so the jews majority, they will neve support violence, hate and killings. Israel need good leadership. Present leadership can be extraordinary if they change their mind.

Zelensky does not know Politics. Yes! it appears so, by his part using so much of Aid and Military Hardware and fighting a war without a strategic Plan. Trump has a plan and he has been a player (actor) in fake American Wrestling ring, fighting, shouting and winning as preplanned by the playwriter. Trump then became a wealthy businessman after many bankruptcies, that's again a few tricks of the business game. See how, Zelensky is. An actor, who was really a popular actor (as it appears today it must have been made popular) and he became a politician and gambled to go against Russia and Russia invaded Ukraine. Thereafter, he got a lot of money and assistance from friends and used the assets of brave Ukrainian souls (the patriots one would say) but looks that he has wasted both the assistance and soldiers moral. This is not an act of prudence which did not achieve the aspirations of Ukrainians and the supporters to win the war. As Prof. indicated the swing State will now be in favor of Trump because of this Zelensky Drama. That is what a viewer can understand from the answer given to the extra question.
Humbly a layman can pose a question, "Is this behavior of Zelensky, by failing Ukrainians and the West is because of USA?" No! One person could answer. Then why? This is due to inexperience, one answer could be. Israelites are not ignorant or immature in wars or using the technology at war. This may well apply to Ukrainians under Zelensky, one can argue and not to Israel behavior. Could it be then the "overdependence" or "over reliance" by the Israel or Ukraine, which relies in the dragging of the war? This cannot be justified either, whether Israel is losing or Ukraine is in the verge of collapse. Is that then the "Stubbornness" of Israeli and Ukrainian leadership (while at war and just before the war)? Stubbornness? may be of Zelensky at times and the behavior of Israel at all times as Professor describes in his many lectures. So what? Has the war stopped? Has the ultimate goal is nearing? Is there a plan? to stop fierce fighting and pave the way for a negotiation for a lasting Peace ( in both cases on the contours of land rights and free and independent statehood).
What an interpretation! 1.Israel is winning the war against terror and Ukraine is loosing the war against the invader.
2. Israel is loosing the war against their enemy and Ukraine is winning the war against Russia.
Can this be different?
3. Both fronts supported by the USA and the West is winning
4. Both fronts not favored by USA and the West is loosing
(Long Term or Short Term is another sub division)
What a complexity?

Ukraine knew about repression in Belarus, strongly supported by Putin. They learnt wha happened at Bucha and it is why they fight against the odds,. If Zelensky had refused, someone else would have taken over. Those are the realities. There is lots of evidence and I have had conversations with people from the region.

Mearsheimer is a bit of an enigma to me. When he talks about Israel he comes off as a Jew hater but I don’t think it’s that. Of course I could be wrong. It seems more like he just doesn’t givashit about the Jews and he’s just trying to be a fair advocate of the facts. I continue to give him the benefit of the doubt but I’d like to ask him this: If you had to live in the Middle East and had a choice of where that would be, where would you choose?

This guy is an idiot. The Israelis fight a lot among themselves, but they always unite in the face of a common enemy. As a matter of fact, all jews all over the world support Israel. Even during Israel war of independence, American jews provided finance and a lot of war material despite efforts by the American government to impose an embargo. There has been numerous protests in tel aviv and people were detained by the government and labelled as terrorist collaborators, there have been a dozen rabbis protesting against Israel in the UN, hundreds of jews were arrested in the pro dominant jew protest in washington..
