Tonic water with quinine often works in seconds, too. A neighbor keeps a bottle by his bed. If a leg cramp wakes him up he quickly takes a few swallows and the cramp eases so fast it's amazing. Now, we keep it handy, as well. My Mom, who is in her 90's used to get cramps so bad she'd call me screaming in pain. The tonic water works for her , too. No more leg cramp suffering.

TWO THINGS. He explains more ideas than other videos and he explains it all WELL. He doesn't sound as if he's said all of this a hundred times, he gets ON with his advice! And I shall return in a week and report results then, but what makes me TRUST the guy is that he knows HOW to explain things. ANd so many experts know things but don't know HOW t talk about them at all This chap juts gets on with it. He strikes me as reliable and genuine. Years ago I used to get leg cramps while swimming, sometimes while swimming across the Mississippi River. Contrary to popular opinion, a cramp while swimming need not be a fatal condition. It's more difficult to deal with it while swimming, but not impossible. Very firmly stretching the muscle, sometimes by by using the other leg to pull back on the forward part of the cramped leg, will relieve it. If that didn't work, one could stop swimming and use the drown proofing technique until the cramp goes away. For more information, google "drown proofing" to find a Wiki article on how to it. The important thing is not to panic since panicking could result in drowning.

I literally had the worst cramp in my calf in my sleep a few nights ago. Never happened to me before. It was so strong but strangely not strong enough to fully wake me up but man did I feel it the second the muscles cramped up. It was like something inside just sucked the muscles into a tiny hole and squeezed super super hard. So painful.

@VASHTICATION 2023 CODE: NEWPORTS & CRABLEGS 🚬🦀Used to get that quite often until someone taught me the trick. When a leg cramp creeps up on you at night, just grab your big toe (or all toes) with your hand and bend that foot inwards twds the shin with some force. Stay in position as long as needed but relief is almost immediate! Hydration and magnesium would be the preventive measures.

The magnesium oil even helps with restless legs. Although being on medication, it happens to me sometimes that this awful sensation appears preferably in the night. I take a small amount of the magnesium oil and rub it into the concerned parts of the legs, and go back to bed. The magnesium oil is actually no oil, by the way, it's an oversaturated solution and feels sticky. So don't use too much and wash your hands afterwards. 🤗❤️

Leg cramps are excruciating. All I have to do is turn my foot inward too much and here it comes. That slowwww then horrendous pain like you want to cry. I lay there breathing. Gently move my foot in opposite direction. It passes in about 30-45 seconds. Then a bruise feeling left over. Then gone. It’s unbelievable.

To prevent the cramp when I feel it's coming up, I seat (or put my hands on a wall while standing) and immediately stretch the leg and pull the HEEL forward (toes pointing up towards the knees). Same at night when I get night cramps. It's basically the same thing as this stretching exercise at 8:48 - except that I do it while seating or lying down.

I'm watching this at 4:15 am due to intense pain that woke me up. Just ordered the magnesium spray and some coconut oil. Thank you for these tools. I've been dealing with this for the last three nights.

Step down with all your weight on that foot. This relieves the cramp every time.

1 TBS of yellow mustard gets rid of cramps in seconds-swear to God! I used to sit on the side of the tub and run HOT water over my legs in the middle of the night-not super convenient to the rest of the family-but I keep some mustard by my bed. I get DIBILITATING chin, calf AND SECOND TOE cramps. Once I can actually stand up (that's how bad they are), I can SLOWLY stretch my calf by leaning forward with flat feet and rock back and forth...but mustard by my bed has saved my sanity

I figured out myself how to get rid of a leg cramp quickly. I occasionally get one in a calf.
If a calf cramps, I forcefully pull back the forward portion of my foot. To pull it back even more forcefully, I use my other foot. If that doesn't quickly work, I jump out of bed and, with my foot on the floor, push my knee forward to stretch out the calf muscle.
Some year ago, when my late father was in the hospital, he got a leg cramp and was frantically looking for the button to call a nurse. I quickly lifted the covers off of his legs and forcefully pushed back on the forward portion of his foot to stretch the calf muscle. When he seemed amazed that I knew what to do, I told him what he could have done myself.
Often a cramp in any part of the body can be quickly relieved simply by firmly stretching the affected muscle.

Thank you! I'll definitely be getting some magnesium spray. It's true that when you're dehydrated and low on magnesium, you can get cramps. I got a bad leg cramp this evening and I was dehydrated and hadn't taken the magnesium capsule supplements I usually take every morning. To get faster relief from the painful cramp, I took approximately 3/4 tsp. of magnesium powder I also have in my cupboard and drank two full tall glasses of water with it. It was amazing how quickly it releieved the painful cramp!

Those leg stretches you showed (the first one did the most) helped relieve my calf cramp in just a couple of minutes. All night my leg was tight, kept cramping if I slept in just about any postition and had to move all night. That “before the Charlie horse sets in” kinda cramp that comes and goes & won’t make up its mind.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and I have severe muscle pain along the back of my legs and buttocks, especially if I exercise or even walk for long. The pain can be so intense that I have to go to bed for the rest of the day. I’ve tried pretty much every type of over-the-counter pain medication and even some PO meds (muscle relaxants) prescribed by my neurologist. The only thing that really works for the pain is either to get a massage or to go to sleep. I’m definitely going to try the topical Mag oil and see if it will help! Thank you so much😀

Thank you Thank you Thank you. I am saving every video you have made . I would love to know though where do I get magnesium spray ???? I take it at night but would love to use it as a rub . I get cramps in the outside of my left calf and literally have to jump out of bed and walk around my bedroom. They are pure torture . If I move my foot wrong when laying back down it comes back immediately. I don't know what to do for them . I drink lots of water and when I sweat alot I drink IV in a bottle poured into my water bottle. Still getting cramps at night ??????? I appreciate all your knowledge intensely.

Thru experience I have learned when I get a leg cramp to bear down and actually try as hard as you can to tense the muscle affected and eventually it will calm down.... not easy when you are in intense pain but it works... ( Hamstrings, calves .. )

I use a tonic called “Stop legs cramps in about a minute “…..not very good tasting but it works. My leg cramps are so bad my feet and ankles seem to turn inwards, I have shin cramps, toe cramps, ankle cramps. 😢😢😢😢 I have to literally drag my self to the kitchen to get the tonic. I will try some magnesium oil. And rub it in when I feel the cramps starting. Some days I just feel like I have a permanent cramp there just waiting for me to go to bed to strike.

would love to know what the best thing to do when the crsmp starts coming up while in bed at night as there is no time to really sit up and start massaging while the cramp unfolds and sometimes even goes into the upper thigh. Thank you!
