In fact, the battlestar was considerably more powerful than the basestar in TRS. 2 battlestars managed to take out an entire fleet guarding the resurrection ship, then the ship itself. The colonials had about 120 battlestars as of The Fall, so about 10 to each planet. Imagine, full out battle, with no CNP backdoors, and all battlestars vs all basestars. :P

Put together a fleet of 10 battlestars, 20 gunstars and support ships. That would have been a kickass fleet for Adama's "ragtag fleet of ships". Cylons wouldn't have stood a chance. Would be nice to see a spinoff of this show.
Dr. Zippy Mcscoots It would be nice to see what thet did when x years later there would be a lot of humans again to take on the cylon and reclaim the colonies. It would be fun to watch
+jetroopers1 It creates such a sense of upcoming dread. Bear McCreary is probably the best composer for television/film out there right now along with NIN/Trent Reznor. It takes a certain kind of talent to be able to create emotion that helps, rather than hinders, tell stories. He creates music that lays perfectly flush with the visual medium as one. Beautiful.
Like Snow White Bats Out Hell itself . I always love the design of the Cylon Raiders and Battle Stars. They could give anyone from Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Babylon 5, Legend Of The Galactic Heroes a hell of a fight.
Yeah, but when you work out the actual math, the amount of punishment a Battlestar can deliver and absorb is way beyond what any ship of the Federation is capable of/can sustain. Essentially, the first round out of one of those turrets would permanently cripple a Federation ship beyond any hope of repair at best. I don't think it would be a hell of a fight. i think it would be over decisively in a matter of minutes.
Federation ships are terribly delicate in design. Without shields they'd be shredded easily. And it doesn't help that their reactor cores are unstable bombs.
@@starhunterterra9849 I do not know if the Battlestar could have destroyed the Shadow ships, but the ships of the Minbari, and especially the Centauri, would certainly have been destroyed for spare parts. The Wraith will not be happy to meet with such a fleet of Battlestar. They will still beg that it was the Ancients (hmm, I wonder how the Colonists would have insulted a Wraith: A Ghost or a Sucker?.). However, even a Battlestar, unfortunately, will lose to the Ori.

CGI of Star Trek Discovery is pretty good, only the story isn't good.
