    Just picked one up from Walmart. That was before your video showed up on my TH-cam feed lol.

    Great video. Thanks! This may be a dumb question, but your internet speed test at 11:10 shows download speed of 918.7 Mbps indicating you've got a gig speed network. Your device speed test near the router at 17:23 shows a download speed of 578 Mbps. Since the x60 is a Wi-Fi 6 mesh router (and not Wi-Fi 5) supporting 2402 Mbps shouldn't your download speed be closer to 1 Gbps? Is it that the iPhone doesn't support 802.11ax? Thanks.

    is it possible to connect this mesh system from a tp link 6400 powered by internet simcard? we are living in middle east and usually we are just using internet simcard placed in tp link 6400. please help and answer me bro. thanks

    as far as I know WPS is by default turn off so if you want to turn it on for specific device you click in the WPS icon and it will stay on for like 120 s then go back to off state. thats what i read from tplink.

    Lengthy unboxing is very annoying but thanks for going into the tech details, I was looking to know if it had AP only mode and if it was configurable for PPPoE which most reviews skip over.

    • @MactelecomNetworks
      @MactelecomNetworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some people like unboxing some don’t that’s why I add time stamps but appreciate the feed back.
      It does have AP mode I’ll have to look into pppoe I believe it would

    Great video walkthrough. I have 2 questions - Could you do a video on adding additional units? Does the additional unit need to be hard wired in or does it connect via wifi and us the AP mode? 2nd question - I can only get about 350mb down on my unifi network via my iphone via the 3 NanoHD AP's in my house - how do I speed them up or do I need to get the new wifi 6 AP's from unifi? Cheers, Spencer

    • @MactelecomNetworks
      @MactelecomNetworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Spencer. In this video I did add a second unit I just didnt show it in the video. You can hardwire the additional unit if you have network cables running or you can have a wireless uplink which I did.
      Really they only way to speed the nanos up would be to make the channel width wider. This will cause more interference though. I prefer a stable connection over lots of speed.

      @@MactelecomNetworks Awesome thx so much. Yea I just realized also that the speed is for wifi 5 and not 6 too lol. Im happy with my 350 mb/s download at the moment. Just always trying maximize the settings. As always great work, information, and video. My go to channel for anything network. Cheers.

    two ethernet ports, dealbreaker. older model had 3, and 3 is necessary for how i set things up. can't understand why they went from 3 to 2.

    Do you know what the difference between this and the deco x55? I haven’t been able to figure that out, it seems that the x55 is the better option since it has an extra Ethernet port at the back (3 in total) and also has “ai driven mesh” which isn’t mentioned on the x60 page, also covers more area according to the Amazon page. It costs a bit more but I’m not sure if these are the only differences, on their website you can compare products but it also doesn’t show anything major between the 2

    If the decos are as close as 3 meter to each other, would it be a problem?Actually, there is a small distance in between, but it is covered with walls. And I want to buy 2 separate decos for that area and set up as a wired backhaul. I have already some decos in my house. I want to add more.

    hello thanks for the video . I got the deco x60 setup as access point so far, did you got any experience using the deco as main wifi router ? it will be same as a regular router or got limitations ? I have also a tplionk router 1500 which is a wifi 6 one. So, I want to make sure if i replace it by deco x60 it will work properly? I am going to try soon but it will be good to have some tips in advance. thanks

      Why would you make the deco CPU work harder managing internet if you already got a modem router. Just use the deco as access points.

    hi, thanks for the video,
    can you add more units in different ways, i mean units connected to the main switch/ router or the new units must connected to the main unit by wire/ wifi?
    there is a bit of confusion about this topic in the previous models, please check it out and let us know.
    thanks.

    Does this mesh system allow for separate SSIDs for 5ghz and 2.4ghz? I know the Netgear Orbi system does not allow you to do this and it has caused me grief with customers.

    • @MactelecomNetworks
      @MactelecomNetworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can turn off or on the 2.4 or 5ghz

    • @Ciangi87
      @Ciangi87 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the main reason why I just ordered this system a lot of mesh systems you can’t switch between 2.4ghz and 5ghz google WiFi and eero you have to walk far away to get on the 2.4ghz to me that’s stupid.

    • @mediocrity9574
      @mediocrity9574 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can’t have separate SSIDs. But as mentioned, you can turn each channel off or on (for a preset amount of time).

      @@mediocrity9574 when you say for a preset amount of time, what exactly does that mean? I need to turn off 5GHz permanently as it gives me headaches.

      @@MactelecomNetworks Sorry for the confusion with my comment, my apologies. I was not talking about the "TP-Link Deco X60" in your video, I think each product cover some type of public, and this TP-Link product looks good to me too.
      I was talking about a TH-cam "commercial" that is circulating recently every time you play a TH-cam video longer than 5 min, the product is called "Nettec Boost", so, I was wondering if you or somebody from your channel have tested it.
