Have you ever tried putting the part in an ultrasonic cleaner ? Just wondering. Although I've never tried removing carbon that way, the ultrasonic cleaner can dislodge alot of other materials on carburetors and the like. Really enjoy your videos. Good question ! I have used ultrasonic cleaners a lot and I think it would work but would take a day or more.
