@@tayx1862 I agree that WS folks eat them but its not a thing, east of them thar hills until ya hit the plains. Iconic food of Denver? No. Consumed in CO, sure and the 'colorado native' who made the first comment might want to go visit the West side. It's nice. Also, consuming the entirety of an animal is the ultimate respect to thr beast, so good on ya. Never had um myself but I would give em a try if offered.

Yeah, I'm definitely more thrown by the beer price. That was absurd! We have hotdogs her in Indy that run $6-$7. Not a big deal at all really. I'm sure you could probably find some places in New York or similar large cities where you can find hot dogs for his prices. Seriously, the beer beats out the hot dog for wtf factor by far! It's not like I think you should pay more for the dogs just because of the weird things they are made out of, unless they are rare animals. Which I can tell you that reindeer and rattlesnake are definitely Not rate at All!

    1. These aren't particular Denver foods, "Rattlesnake hot dog" is not a Denver staple.
    2. This is not "on a budget" at all. I thought you were going to go to some cool food stalls and say "hey guys here's a delicious $2 burrito that nobody knows about". This is trying huge, gourmet, tourist offerings of specialty foods that are at a premium price and having three expensive meals for $50. This doesn't actually help anybody except tourists looking for weird food.

Wasted 40 of 50 dollars. The hotdogs will taste of the spices and condiments you put on top. Rattlesnake sausage is good with just a simple sauce. Reindeer also. As for rocky mountain oysters, they are a novelty when fried and served with ranch. Chicken nuggets without the chicken lips. That part of the bull can be served so many ways and combine with other parts of the cow to make wonderful burgers, sausages, chili etc. To fry and serve, waste of 18$. Here is what you missed, some of the most iconic pizza, german food, game meat and pairings with some iconic craft beers. If you really wanted just to check of bull balls, calf brains and rattlesnake come to Oklahoma for cattleman or the waynoka rattlesnake round up. Waste of a video.

1: People eat Rocky Mountain oysters in Colorado, but they're not anywhere near popular in Denver, much less iconic.
2: She got 2 hot dogs and a full order of oysters. Get 1 hot dog and a ½ order and she would've spent $38.
3: She either didn't try while here or didn't do her research before coming. Likely both.
She could go to El Taco De Mexico and gotten a lunch of some of the best tacos on the planet for what she spent on 1 hot dog. Then she could've gone to one of our countless AMAZING Ethiopian restaurants for a world class meal for under $20. Then she could've gotten a mind-blowing green chili burrito for $4-8. Then still had $10 left for beer.
I've lived in Denver for 6½ years and the people who eat Rocky Mountain Oysters are either tourists or people who work and live on or live around the ranches.
    Hard fail for this.
That said, Biker Jim's does have absolutely amazing hot dogs. Even the more gimmicky ones are expertly made and tasty.
