Not everyone speaks different languages especially in France we are one of the worst english speaking country with a very distinct accent🤣. My accent is hilarious i'm not even sure English people can fully understand it. But it's possible people speak more languages on average there are 2 main reasons for that i believe : - In the past Europeans had a lot of territories in the world so some people in these countries speak french and their native language and some of them immigrate to France so they often speak 2 languages by default. - Most languages in Europe originate from Latin so they are very close which makes it much easier to learn them. That being said i learned spanish in 高校 and forgot everything if you don't practice and commit outside of school you are probably not going to make it. What language did you learn in school あつこ先生 ? And what students usually learn ? I believe most people have english classes ? At least it's what i see in animes 😅. But i'm curious if you can chose something else like Chinese or Korean that would make sense since they are the closest countries.
