24:40 : I figured the trick with 千 but i had no idea what 尋 ment ! Thank you あつこ先生. An other benefit for learning japanese 😊. One of the small things that often get lost in translations.
Eodisさん! How are you? It’s already Monday-time flies so fast! You’re absolutely right; translations often don’t convey the deeper meanings of kanji. I’m glad I could help you with your new discovery! It seems that Hayao Miyazaki puts a lot of thought into how he represents water in his films. He really treasures scenes with the sea, rivers, or rain in each of his works. 😊
@@NihongAudioLounge Not fast enough i'd rather be friday to sit and relax watching a video of あつこ先生 ! Oh ! Now that you mention it, i never noticed but yes water is really a center piece of his movies ! 😯 He's more known for his passion about planes. I guess he had to make 崖の上のポニョ to get his dose of water 🤣. But if i had to pick a "water scene" that would be the one with the rain in となりのトトロ or maybe the lake in the forest of もののけ姫 🥰
@@eodis1644 I know what you mean! I can’t wait for the weekend to relax too.😆😆 Thank you, Eodis-san, for spending your precious time watching my videos. I also love Totoro’s rain scene! The part where Totoro jumps and the rain comes pouring down is just amazing! Princess Mononoke is wonderful too-Shishigami’s lake is such a magical place! Right now, I’ve subscribed to Netflix, connected to a UK VPN, and I’m binge-watching Ghibli films. Can you believe Ghibli isn’t available on Netflix in Japan? By the way, cold season has started here in Japan. Please take care and don’t catch a cold, Eodis-san!☺Reste en bonne santé.
Yes i know because i often do the opposite and connect to Netflix Japan 🤣. It's good for dramas and movies but there are not a lot of animes in Netflix Japan. I guess it's because of Japanese TV rights. In the west we have access to other services that regroup a lot of animes ! Unfortunately i already caught covid 19 and lost the sense of taste. Please don't do the same and if you are not doing an other video for the upcoming weeks enjoy your Christmas KFC 🐔. Bon appétit !
@@eodis1644 That’s so true! It’s actually easier to access Japanese anime from abroad than from within Japan, especially older shows. It’s such a shame! Eodis-san, are you okay? Please take care of yourself-stay warm and get plenty of rest! I actually caught COVID last year too, and it happened when a friend from overseas was staying with me. I was so worried they might catch it and not be able to fly back! This Christmas, I’m planning to have Korean samgyetang, which is a chicken soup. KFC gets so crowded here-you have to wait in long lines! Anyway, please take care and recover soon! 😊おだいじにね!

先生、隣のトトロは私の一番好きな映画です!I will try to describe the scene with my limited Japanese. トトロとミイは森の中にいます。ミイはピンのワンピースを着て黄色の靴を履いています。ミイはトトロの大きいお腹上に横になります。
Shiubshiushiuさん!おはようございます 描写文作りに挑戦してくれてありがとう!これであなたの日本語はさらに上手くなりましたね! Your sentences are grammatically perfect! Great job! 😊💯❤👍️ Just a small note about the nouns: The girl’s dress is “ピンク” with a “ク” sound included . Also, in Japan, that girl is called “メイ.” I think the pronunciation might vary by country, but if you want to match the Japanese name, you can use “メイ.” As for “横になります,” the sentence itself is correct. 💯However, “なります” implies an action that’s about to happen. To describe the current situation more accurately, “横になっています” (present continuous tense) works better for this context. トトロは、私も大好きです。もう何十回も見ました!いつかネコバスに乗ってみたいです! Shiubshiushiuさん、良い週末をお過ごしください🫶🥰

@NihongAudioLounge I also like the sound Itsumo nando demo, I also like the anime one punch man 🤗😁
8:58 女の子は大きい動物の腹の上に横になっています。その動物の名前はトトロ。トトロさんは丸くて黒い鼻があります。女の子の方に向います。女の子は鼻を触っています。女の子の髪は茶色です。赤いリボンをつけています。ピンク色の服を着ています。靴は黄色です。トトロさんの腹と女の子の靴は同じ色です。彼らは森の中にいます。 Thank you for making these videos, hope I did well :)
Oreoeziさん!こんばんは!😆 すてきな文ができましたね!あなたの文はほとんどパーフェクトですよ!!💯👍️🎊Thank you for your hard work!! If there’s anything to improve, I would suggest the following points: ★ 「動物の腹の上に」と「トトロさんの腹と」の「腹」 While grammatically correct, replacing 「腹」(hara) with 「お腹」(onaka) would sound more polite. Adding 「お」 creates a softer and more refined tone. This matches the polite sentence that Oreoeziさん made. ★ 「女の子の方に向います」の「向います」 The kanji 「向」 has multiple uses depending on the context: If someone is looking in a certain direction, it becomes 「向いています」. If someone is moving toward a certain direction, it becomes 「向かいます」. In your sentence, 「女の子の方に向かいます」 implies that Totoro is moving toward the girl. However, in the picture, Totoro is looking at the girl. Therefore, it would be more appropriate to say, 「トトロさんは女の子の方を向いています」. 「向」という むずかしい言葉にもチャレンジしてくれてありがとう!! Everything else in your writing is perfect! Keep up the amazing work! 💪✨

あつこ先生の動画を見ている時が一番楽しいです。 あつこ先生、i also encountered a few times っす and as i understand it's an informal form of です. But is it more or less polite than だ ? It is counterintuitive because it's still です but at the same time it seems so casual that it looks less polite than だ 😅. くだらないっす 僕はチョコレートの代わりにアイスクリームを食べるよ。 An other bonus question : Is なんて always replaceable by なんか and what's the difference ? Thanks again for your time and work あつこ先生 🙏. I'm sending you 幸せな魔法 (if that's a thing) from France for this end of the year🍀
Eodis-san!おはようございます!いつも読むと嬉しくなるようなコメントありがとうございます! Thank you for challenging yourself to create Japanese sentences! Your writing was perfect, and there was nothing to correct!💯👍️🎊 「っす」について You’re absolutely right-it gives a more casual impression compared to 「だ」. It’s a term often used by younger men, and one common example is 「あざっす」 (a shortened form of 「ありがとうございます」). However, overusing 「っす」 can give off a slightly less intelligent vibe (at least to me-maybe it’s just my personal opinion 😅). For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend using it too often in real-life situations. 「だ」について As for 「だ」, while it’s a casual form, it also has a strong, assertive nuance. To make it sound softer, you can add 「よ」 at the end, as in 「~だよ」. フリーレン様 often says 「~だよ」 in her lines, which creates a friendlier tone.☺️ 「なんて」と「なんか」について When used to downplay or show disdain, both can often be interchangeable. In Fern’s line, for instance, you could say 「過去なんか」 instead of 「過去なんて」 without changing the meaning. However, the two are not completely interchangeable. I think this link provides a clear explanation of their specific usages: detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q1211881617?__ysp=44Gq44KT44GmIOOBquOCk%2BOBiyDpgZXjgYQ%3D 幸せな魔法をありがとうー!!! I’ll make sure to share the happiness with everyone through my videos. 😊Best wishes to you, and enjoy your ice cream instead of chocolate😆-it’s a great choice! Sending lots of 幸せの魔法 and joy back to France for the end of the year! 🎉
@@NihongAudioLounge Thank you for your detailed answer あつこ先生 🥰. I will avoid using 「っす」then i don't want to look less intelligent than i already am 🤣. I also take note for「~だよ」! And from what i understood and saw already just using nothing and omit だ/です is also a thing in casual speech. As for 「なんて」と「なんか」unfortunately your link doesn't work in Europe apparently Yahoo! JAPAN is not available here for some reason 🧐. But i found some other links to explain the difference. It's still hard for me to fully understand the nuance but i guess it will get better with time and practice ! Unrelated comment : I watched 天空の城ラピュタ again now i know where バルス comes from 👌
おはよう! Eodis-san! It’s unfortunate that you couldn’t access Yahoo, but I’m glad you found a helpful link instead! 😊 About 「なんか」, I think it’s often used in ways similar to “something” in English. On the other hand, 「なんて」 is sometimes used as an expression for exclamation or emotion. ex: なんて美味しいアイスクリームだ! In this case, 「なんか」 cannot be used as a replacement for 「なんて」. As you mentioned, I also feel that people don’t use 「です」 or 「だ」 much in casual conversations. But if you ask what they use instead... I’ve honestly never thought about it! I wonder what I'm saying every day.🤣 The バルス scene is definitely the most exciting part of that movie! P.S. ”i don't want to look less intelligent than i already am.” Eodisさん you’re too modest! 😊 I really admire how many people in Europe can speak several languages-it’s amazing!
Not everyone speaks different languages especially in France we are one of the worst english speaking country with a very distinct accent🤣. My accent is hilarious i'm not even sure English people can fully understand it. But it's possible people speak more languages on average there are 2 main reasons for that i believe : - In the past Europeans had a lot of territories in the world so some people in these countries speak french and their native language and some of them immigrate to France so they often speak 2 languages by default. - Most languages in Europe originate from Latin so they are very close which makes it much easier to learn them. That being said i learned spanish in 高校 and forgot everything if you don't practice and commit outside of school you are probably not going to make it. What language did you learn in school あつこ先生 ? And what students usually learn ? I believe most people have english classes ? At least it's what i see in animes 😅. But i'm curious if you can chose something else like Chinese or Korean that would make sense since they are the closest countries.
Eodis-sanさん、こんにちは! In Japan, we start learning English in elementary school. But unfortunately, most Japanese people still can’t speak English. I think it’s because the focus is all on grammar and studying for exams. We rarely get the chance to read sentences aloud or practice speaking. As for other foreign languages, we start learning those in university. I studied French back then, but I’ve forgotten most of it now. Maybe it’s similar to your situation with Spanish!🤣 French was tough because of the pronunciation and the masculine and feminine nouns.むずかしかったです😭 Oh, and outside of school, a lot of people here learn Korean, too. Korean dramas and music are popular in Japan!
