Just got mine at Costco for $39.00. Was skeptical because of the low price, but WOW it is a beast.❤ Easy to set up & use. Best "fried" chicken ever. Going to try a steak.
Same here! Just today I brought mine home from Costco for 39.00. Of course, before buying I did a quick cross-check on Amazon to check the quality & price and not only is it highly rated, "Amazon's Choice," but their price is $119.00!!
I mainly bought it for dehydrating herbs, we'll see how it goes.

I give it a 15 o 10. 😄 I didn't want one but ended up getting one. It is absolutely SILENT. The food comes out exactly as advertised. A brilliant invention. Can dehydrate, bake (not tried that yet), roast. 💯 recommended.
No it isn't its loud
I love the 7 quart Gourmia air fryer, please don’t make smaller ones. It can fit a big chicken & a 3 rib prime rib. Both takes less time than the oven, cooks it more evenly than my oven! I roast baby tomatoes to make appetizer on nice crusty bread slices with olive oil & balsamic cream vinegar! Excellent for making homemade French fries, don’t buy the frozen ones - it has too much oil!
So easy to use, I even use it for toasting bagels, bread, etc. Reheat button is very useful for reheating cinnamon buns, apple turnovers, all baked goods. I don’t use the oven unless I have guests 😉!
Who else has trouble putting in the crisper?

Do you keep the rubber bumpers on the crisper tray when putting it inside the fryer basket?
The silicone bumpers on the crisper tray should left on during use. They can be removed for cleaning.

I bought model GAF798 yesterday at Costco. Today I have been trying to figure out how to work with it. So far I have done well with one exception. There is no beeping to let me know when to turn or add food ….no beeping at all. The instructions say to press the stop/cancel button. It didn’t work. Everything I have read seems to indicate people don’t like the noise. I might be sorry later but I think I would prefer it to work. Any suggestions?

Started our new cooker and the fan is making a very loud clanking noise.
How do you cook 2 things at once, for example fries and sausage?
Fries on the bottom and sausage on the top rack that was included , you’ll get sausage grease on your fries but if that’s what you want then enjoy.
My crisper tray does not fit if i keep the silicone feet in place. Help

How do I reduce the temperature for air frying
I have a question regarding this air fryer basket. The basket is very difficult to insert and facing a lot of resistance. Is anyone facing same issue?
I noticed that too immediately but haven't done anything with it yet. I'm thinking we're going to need to just dab the rubber ends with a tiny bit of olive oil or the like to slide it in.
Do you know if the basket is coated in Teflon?

@@laeelad6931 After several uses now, mine is less sticky. I also noticed if you try it different ways it also slides in easy.
, the rubber tips on the crisper tray, do those stay on or take them off? I’d imagine they would scrape the bottom basket if you take them off

Haven't cooked anything in mine yet but after washing the the tray and racks I ran the "re-heat" mode with nothing in it to break it in and get some of the burnt plastic smell out first because my plan is just to use it for dehydrating herbs so I have a feeling that plastic smell might interfere with the results.
It says in the instruction that the first few uses will result in the burnt plastic smell and that it’s normal. It should go away after that :)
I'm doing the same right now, running it with nothing in it just to get that first plastic smell out. Don't want it to transfer into the food.
Mine was pretty bad for plastic smell. I ran it outside half a dozen times at 400 degrees for 20 minutes before brinign it back in the house. It's great now.

I just plugged mine in. But the control lights did not light up? Is there something else i do besides plug in to wall in order to power it up?
Press the power button in the middle of the panel.
@@sunnysouth3638 the panel didn’t light up. I pressed where I could see a button outline. But the panel buttons did not light up. Is this machine a dud? Or am I doing something wrong?
@@Jwes88 Oh gosh, I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Did you try opening and closing the drawer? I just finished cooking dinner in ours and it worked beautifully. But the panel should come on after you press the illuminated power button.
Close the tray. It won't light up while the try is open
There is a possibility that the tray is not pushed in all the way. That happened to us.
The silicone feet on the crispy tray fall off easily. They are extremely loose and water and oil gets into them. This is a POOR design. I am about to return it to Costco.

For GAF798: To silence the air fryer’s beeping sound, press and hold STOP / CANCEL.
Press and hold STOP / CANCEL again to turn the sound on.
NOTE: The air fryer will still beep for guided cooking prompts.

Stupid goddam machine I was running it for a bit now it’s shut off with no reset button and hasn’t turned on since it overheated what kinda machine is gonna overheat on first use with no reset button? And no video or anything close to a tip in the manual about resetting it I have it unplugged now for two hours seriously a headache 😃
