Within the first three minutes you helped me out tremendously, I’ve been looking for how to put my internal plastic together. I bought that little gold clip with a bag of parts off of EBay but I didn’t know what to do with it. I’ll look at your other videos and see if you have done the battery side. Thank you so much, I’ve watched 3 hours of VLX 600 videos today and yours is more in depth than any other video yet. Thank you!!
@@junkyardsearcher6407 no problem, this is my only vlx video, shes been garage sitting for a few yrs, I’ll probably do more videos because I know startup is gonna be a b**** lol
Very detailed instructions, easy to follow, voice as clear as day, very helpful. My bike has trouble keeping charge. All forums point towards stator. Fingers crossed
Great video! I wish you would do videos about all the maintenance, and repairs, for your Honda VLX 600. This was easy to follow, and listening to your voice was calming and confidence inspiring :) I’ve had my Honda VLX 600 since December of 2021. My first motorcycle, a Yamaha V Star 250, I purchased in February of 2021. I took the Honda from Nebraska to California and then down into Baja Mexico in the spring of 2022. On the two bikes combined, I’ve traveled all over the country, a total of just over 28,000 miles, in the last two years. When I’m away on a trip it’s really nice to understand the maintenance and repair issues. I’m not having any problems with the charging system, but I want to know as much as possible about everything that might go wrong.
Thanks, wow you did some riding, you should vlog some, I did the video due to none available on the fix, I’m just filling the void will do more as issues arise. Hope to ride like you one day across the country, Ride on man🏍
I have a 1988 Honda shadow 600. And mine did not charge anymore so all I did was cut off the burnt connectors and spliced them together again.. It works good now...
The video is fine except for that make sure that you never forget that Rick's regulators and rectifier are much better made than caltrick and last longer
Are those extra pieces that you got with the kit to fix the plugs, do those fit on the rectifer itself, or are those the clips that the rectifer plugs into on the bike itself
Yea it was a repair kit for that type of plug, it came with rectifier, I’ll look and see if it’s the male or female not sure, gotta locate in my garage

Thanks, it’s not a bad fix, after you change the stator and rectifier, be sure to always use a trickle charge while it’s sitting also
Great video!

Just seen your msg, yea that actually is the fix, I went ahead and replaced it all to be sure, pushed it home a couple times and was fed up lol
Very helpful! i didn't know about the little cover.
Thanks bro. Helped me out a lot.
Thanks for the video man!
Thanks for the video 🙏🏻
thank you big dawg
Put the top two little gears on the magnetized side of the bike first and then installed the stator and cover. Its a whooooole lot easier.
Thanks, hopefully a while before I gotta do again, thinking about a bobber chop soon tho
@@MackLife87 do it. That’s what I’m doing

Cool new info to me
How do you know how tight to put the bolts back on when putting the stator cover back on
Dude fuck yeah thanks so much man !!!

Hi BMack, great video! What kind of hammer did you use to remove the crankcase cover?
Good day, a brass hammer, I believe I used a rag over it also
Man i needed this video!
So the stator gets soaked in oil when its running?
Yea when you take it apart oil will spill out
Did the stator from Amazon work ?
Yea the Caltric brand works

Did the caltric parts last ?
