@@clemnewton9995 Radar doesn't help. Highway Patrol turns theirs off, spots a car going high velocity, then aims their gun, turns on their system, and by the time your radar picks it up, they already have your speed clocked. Any Highway patrol officer will know that
They tell you there are tons of blind spots. There aren't! Lean forward and turn your head to use the entire front side window. Lean back and do the same to use the rear windshield/windows. You can see every angle if you actually try and don't expect this to be a luxury crossover (which it isn't!). These cars are fun to drive. Don't underestimate even the V6. You can get in trouble. If you are in a state that really punishes high speeds (I am in NC right now), it may not be the car for you, especially if you've never driven something with 300+ horsepower before. If you can control yourself, this is a great vehicle. My 2013 Camaro didn't have a single problem in 8 years/75K miles of driving and that's abusing the car when driven with only semi-decent oil changes, tire/wheel/brake servicing, etc.
My wife has a 2020 10sp and it is so great to drive. The engine/transmission combo feels better than my 2019 C7 8sp and feels just as quick if not a hair quicker. My only complaint is, don't get the base sound system! That was one of the things we immediately had to change out was all the speakers and add an amp. I also recommend getting that suitcase muffler taken off and have them just weld new pipe to the stock tips and it sounds amazing. She loves it since the day we got it and still does. That body kit does look good and I'm pretty sure the active exhaust is standard not an option.
It has a V8, and the looks is good, thank you Chevrolet because the most important thing is that this particular one has manual transmission! I really love this one. Wish this one has the LT1 badge though...
Great review Joe. GM just started a $279 a month lease on LT1’s. That’s V-6 money and the 6.2 auto gets 16/27 MPG. That should help with the 46% drop in sales. Price sells cars!
I have the exact same car 2021 lt1 this car will not disappoint at all it puts the power down when you need it and dust everything but a SS(it has higher top speed) and hellcats
I just graduated college and got my first job, so I’m living with parents for a few more years until I’m financially set but I want a nice car as a daily driver but not paying 600+ a month... I think I just found it,
Great review! I bought a black 2020 LT1 with a manual trans and white rally stripes (the only extra option on the car). LOVE IT!!! Got the Chevy employee discount with a $1500 cash rebate. FIRE DEAL for the car. The smile you speak of I get everytime I start this LT1 engine. After a $450 MBRP axle back exhaust was installed the pops, crackles and cold starts are now insane!... in a very very good way!! 😁 Skip shift needs mentioned in this review and the $20 skip shift eliminator that is therefore needed I also necessarily installed. The skip shift is more of a zonk than the tail lights in my opinion but it's a cheap fix and one of only a couple zonks worth mentioning because truly, this is a very fun and powerful performance bargain that brings pure enjoyment and happiness to any willing driver. Enjoyed watching this review. Keep em coming!
I can't find one of these reasonably priced in my area. There are very few of them around at all in fact. The ones I can find are at a price point where you may as well step up to the ss, go for a Mustang GT or even a Scatpack on special.
I always work on forwards I've always been a Ford man but I have to tell you Chevrolet has a better engine in Ford don't have to worry about it blowing big garage in the motor love your video man keep up the good work
Too many people think the LT1 is nothing more than the V six trim level with a V8. No, comes standard with 40 profile tires on 20 inch wheels. And Brembo breaks up front. The SS hood. Part of the RS option is standard. And I don't think the Six can have the quad tail pipes.
@@therealjonnyringo Agree! That is exactly why the 2014 Mustang is the last one I would consider. It was the last one where you can still actually use the backseat and can easily see out of the car.
I got myself one for christmas 2 days ago in riverside blue metallic with satin black wheels and the front splitter with side rockers make it look killer!! ....has more options than the one in the review...runs amazing and mine does come with an RS badge in the grille and on the back along with the LT1 badges on the side...just wish it had the brembo on the back and the active exhaust...but aftermarket fixes that...if the SS is out of the price range I 100% recommend this car
I just ordered one! Seems like the "smart" purchase for having a cool car for the street. I'm not pushing the car to the limit or tracking it so the SS upgrades would be lost on me
The 6-speed manual is a blast. And don’t give me that crap that the automatic is 1/ 10th of a second faster on the track. You’re not going to track this car chances are you going to drive it for pleasure. That’s where the manual transmission comes in. With a manual you drive a car. With an automatic it drives you.
Hats off to Chevy for taking a base Camaro and sticking a V8 in it. Excellent sales tactic.

The 69 camaro in particular, has always been my favorite all time camaro, in fact my all time favorite classic muscle car! It's a very sort after year for the Camaro!
just got the rs and I can't stop smiling chevy nocked it out of the park with this camaro
Gotta love a naturally aspirated push rod V8 with a manual transmission!! Nice on throttle action brother!! And congrats Joe on being over 400k subs! Won't be long until half a million!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I'm a Mustang guy but I hope chevy does not discontinue the Camaro, Ford will get lazy. The return of the Camaro was the reason Ford brought back the 5.0.
Thanks for sharing that input!
Still love the Camaros a lot. If I had my own Camaro, then I would let you review it in person.
It would be my pleasure!
@@RaitisRides Yeah No Problem!
Definitely the best sounding out of its competition
Ah yes, the car I got my 150mph speeding ticket in ☠️
I can feel your pain 😂😂😂
Always run radar detector does help better to run with one than without
@@clemnewton9995 Radar doesn't help. Highway Patrol turns theirs off, spots a car going high velocity, then aims their gun, turns on their system, and by the time your radar picks it up, they already have your speed clocked. Any Highway patrol officer will know that
Ouch! That sucks!
@@UmAdxXbRo tops out at 155 plus was going downhill
I just ordered a LT1 Redline Edition package and am excited to drive it soon since it's on its way ! :)!
Congrats Jesse! That is so very awesome.
Thanks for sharing that great input from your ownership Travis!
it's actually a Z28 isn't it, basically, they should badge it as such! but i guess just 'LT1' makes it something unique
Joen you're 100% right about the competition discussion it only helps us
It has a V8, and the looks is good, thank you Chevrolet because the most important thing is that this particular one has manual transmission! I really love this one. Wish this one has the LT1 badge though...
Thanks for letting me share this one with you!
Got to say your one of the best reviewers out there, enjoy your channel.
im just so shook that GM even made this like so many people don't even know these exist I can barely find these
" I sure the hell, hope not " 😂 Real nice price for that 💪
Thanks man for letting me share some laughs and this LT1.
Well-equipped, with Recaro seats, at just a shade over $40k
A true black stallion
You are so very right!
Just got myself one of these but in white and I love it my first v8 ever 😎
Great review Joe. GM just started a $279 a month lease on LT1’s. That’s V-6 money and the 6.2 auto gets 16/27 MPG. That should help with the 46% drop in sales. Price sells cars!
The one thing I don't understand is the second you add any upgrades, you might as well just get the SS, price is nearly identical.
That is a great point!
@@RaitisRides I use the v6 2018 Camaro as my daily dad driver. Fits a car seat fine! Kid loves it! Perfect daily car! Next up, v8 tho!
I have the exact same car 2021 lt1 this car will not disappoint at all it puts the power down when you need it and dust everything but a SS(it has higher top speed) and hellcats
Just tune it and get rid of the top speed limiter
Love this car, back to basics.
I am so glad that I can share it with you!
I love ferrari & Lamborghini but there is nothing like American muscle like this Camaro Joe
I am so glad that you are digging this one Antonio.
@@RaitisRides You do the best car reviews ever Joe have to get a raits rides T shirt
I just graduated college and got my first job, so I’m living with parents for a few more years until I’m financially set but I want a nice car as a daily driver but not paying 600+ a month... I think I just found it,
Congrats on graduating! I am so glad that I can share this one with you!
Sharp car. Not sure why sales are down but I will miss the Camaro.
Same here!
6:35 OMG the f'n dealer sticker on the trunk lid irks me. LT1 is an interesting package to go the naturally aspirated route.
I can understand where you are coming from but they take it off.
Thanks for sharing that great input from your ownership Chad!
just rev 1st up a bit more
I was waiting for this one!!!🤩😍🤗Thanks Joe!
Thanks brother for letting me bring it to you!
they have a deal for this car. 4099 down 229 a month for 39 months. im gonna try to grab one tomorrow after work. nice review!
Great bang for the buck! One way to deal with the blind spots....ON THROTTLE!
I love the way that you think Robert!
I can't find one of these reasonably priced in my area. There are very few of them around at all in fact. The ones I can find are at a price point where you may as well step up to the ss, go for a Mustang GT or even a Scatpack on special.
“ fighting , punching , kickin “ 😂😂 .
Thanks for letting me share some laughs with you.
I always work on forwards I've always been a Ford man but I have to tell you Chevrolet has a better engine in Ford don't have to worry about it blowing big garage in the motor love your video man keep up the good work
Still love my Mustang
Too many people think the LT1 is nothing more than the V six trim level with a V8. No, comes standard with 40 profile tires on 20 inch wheels. And Brembo breaks up front. The SS hood. Part of the RS option is standard. And I don't think the Six can have the quad tail pipes.
Idk how anyone at gm thought the visibility was okay. This has been going on for how long they still don't get it right big con
I feel your pain.
If you have two eyes, and actually pay attention to your surroundings you'll be just fine. Its not a work van, jesus. Its a sports car.
@@therealjonnyringo But you could see out of every Camaro from 1967 to 2002 and those were sports cars too!
I test drove the mustang GT, its no better honestly. I drive an LT1, got the small rectangular blind spot mirrors and have NO trouble with this.
I love manual v8's but I've never liked these "2000" camaros. The last one I fell in love with was the '68.
I can understand Omar:
I had a 2010 2SS. Loved it but they've gotten way too expensive for the average guy. The SS should never come close to 50k but it does.
@@markusfilmore7295 the 2SS does not the 1SS.
This car in silver looks incredible!
so isn’t the LT1 supposed to be quicker/faster than the SS since it’s the same engine but just lighter without the front fascia and cloth seats?
Correct!
Correct.
I just bought a LT 1 convertable and love it. Your review are so great. Thks for sharing your passion
“Boy oh boy” Another awesome review
Thanks Andy! I like the way that you think! 😉
I just ordered one! Seems like the "smart" purchase for having a cool car for the street. I'm not pushing the car to the limit or tracking it so the SS upgrades would be lost on me
If u got one. How r u enjoying it?
Evening joe! I’m not a gm fan but this one sure is sharp!
Hey Dale! Thanks for letting me bring it all to you!
I'm thinking of buy a used 21' Chevy Camaro.
This is super good value
You are so very right!
I had a car buying project in my career prep class, and the budget was 35K. Guess what I car I chose
LT1😉👍🏻
