Everything looks good in black. Looks good in red too but I don't think I would love anything red. I would get it silver or blue though. The blue with the red SS badge would look nice I think. I mean when you out rims on it and all that it changes everything.

Once again, great vid. Would like to have seen the car in the air on a rack so we can see better how the car is constructed and what the suspension is made of. I'm driving one of these cars now and for me the most impressive thing about it is the steering. The motor is awesome, it pulls hard in just about any range and makes passing faster and safer. The brakes are incredible, it's the best extension between my mind and a machine I have ever felt, there is no compromise, no double pumping, no feathering incase of lockup, just push the brakes, simple. While driving to Seattle Washington from Eugene Oregon I noticed that when I steered from lane to lane or around corners. IfI one of my ligaments in my arms as much as twitched the car immediately obeyed. Finally, I drive fo a living and have done so nearly 35 years. I have traveled countless miles on as many routes and terrains as one can imagine and I have never had as great an experience as handling, driving and enjoying an American vehicle as I have with the 2019 Camaro. 😎

I agree with your points on the placement of the SS badging. I also always thought it was strange that the SS badge on the rear is very small and on the bumper instead of the trunk.
Also , you’re right that the car would look cooler with an SS badge on the side front fender to let people know it’s an SS. The mustang GT has the 5.0 badge on the side and it makes it look intimidating.

I have a 2018 Camaro SS in nightfall gray metallic. I took off the fender flag and replaced it with a black SS. I changed all the SS badges to black as well as the Chevy emblems. I got the blackout taillights and 3rd brake light. The wheels are black as well as the lug nuts.Those little modifications made a world of different.Nice video and review.✊

I think it's nice looking but I think chevy has had too many engine problems snd heard that the ford 302 coyote is a much better and built to out perform the 6.2 ,392 so i will except a ford over the other, Ive raced and beat both in my mustang gt and isn't mustang cheaper and better.

I own an A10 SS. It’s freaking insanely good. Feels like a super car and I paid low $30ks. Unreal bang for the buck. Visibility is rarely an issue.

Another great video! I’ve had 4 mustangs all V8’s including a 13 Boss ... I now own a 18 SS/1LE - just love it! If I were to compare, engine wise it’s most like the boss, but WAY better composed handling. Again, props Raiti 👍

Totally dig the heads up display ! It feels very futuristic. Love the self dimming side mirrors and moon roof option wish Mustang had that as well. This thing runs and sounds really good. Aesthetically I like the door panels better on the Camaro, But I like the EVERYTHING ELSE better on the Mustang. Great review , Right on zonks..

I picked up my Riverside blue a week and a half ago. Had the wheels powder coated gloss black, hood wrapped in satin black all silver and chrome on the outside including the bow tie and the Chevy emblem on the rear end were blacked out. Absolutely incredible looking. Blacking out the chrome bow tie turns the front end into beautiful. PS. Love your performance numbers. Much better than I’ve seen online. I mean 0-60 and 1/4. Wow. Nice.

I saw one of these recently in a deep blue colour, and thought it looked fantastic! It sounded absolutely terrific too, just idling. The guy was waiting to make a left turn, and I was walking by to struck up a conversation through his open window to tell him how genuinely surprised I was about how great it looked. He said he'd been enjoying the heck out of it.
Really nice car, especially to see it and hear it in person. It made me consider one for myself, which is amazing considering Chevy is probably at the very bottom of my respect list in terms of auto companies!

Compared to the new 2020 Camaro SS I think the 2019 looks better.
I own a 2019 2SS convertible, black with white racing stripes. I love this car, have had no issues. Sounds as good as it looks. I recommend getting one !

I currently own a 2015 2SS Camaro, I'm really happy with it. But honestly I'm not seeing a problem with this car. That LT 1V8 sounds amazing, it goes like a rocket. Are people really that shallow that they are concerned about the shape of the tail lights?
Watched a few of your videos and i got the 19 2ss in the summit white. I love the look. I came from a Q50 and man I’m very very happy i did! I know must hate the look, but ever kid i have passed gives me a thumbs up and my daughter loves this more than the Infiniti! Good review and your were honest with your driving experience.

Great review, I ordered the ‘19 2SS in Black last week... Prefer the 1LE and I love the stick, but got the 10Auto for daily driving...
One thing you missed, the video rearview mirror... Makes the rear visibility livable...
Did that car have magnetic ride? Really improves the ride...

I have the rearview mirror camera which really gives you bigger view of what's going on behind you. It's adjustable too. The only thing is requires you to refocus your eyes when going from the HUD to rearview.
Credit to Tom ,great angle shots make this car look better on video than in person. i 'm getting used to the look but just hard to associate it with the camaro badges and history of previous styling. Stand alone its ok but put some competition next to it thats where it ...

103 mph. 🤣 This is the problem with the LT1, you just don’t want to get out of the throttle. The top of 3rd in a C7 Vette I had was arrest and impound territory, but it’s all but impossible to stay off of that loud pedal. Gets super-frustrating after a while.

Dunno why people would hate the refresh. The car was a beautiful concept in 2010, and I have been following closely ever since. After 2010, they made some mistakes in the update, but this 2019 brings it back closer to what a Camaro looks like, and that's the whole point. I will admit that the car looks best in black for the SS model, otherwise the "wings" on the front fascia stick out to the eye. Other than that, they did a great job.

I test drove a '19 1SS auto in shadow gray. It's a freakin' beast. Looked great to me and bought it. No regrets at all. Visibility doesn't bother me at all.

In 2-3 years when I graduate college, I’ll be picking one of these up! However, I don’t like the front end bow tie placement, but all black makes it look good. Also, I love the taillights.

That is a really good question!
I've seen guys use very strong thread/fiber to get behind emblem to remove it.
I think they should have put a carbon fiber heat extractor in the hood. Similar to the 5th gen ZL1. The vent in it now is small and looks cheap. And move the flow tie where it belongs. This car in black definitely helps this refresh. But it has to grow on you. I dont like how it sits higher than the 2018. And I do agree the front splitter needs to be bigger and more aggressive. Does Anybody know if the SS 1LE seats are like the seats in the ZL1 ? Theres definitely a difference between the seats in both cars . All in all this is a great video! Hats off to you and your honesty in your review.

I had a massive oil leak in my 2020 and it melted my belts and made my engine overheat.. i can’t wait to get back into it !

This model has grown on me. Especially in black.
Here’s my take on why GM did this. It seems prior Camaro owners hate it. I never wanted one til this refresh. They didn’t touch ZL1 face so that current owners would step they game up and people like me would join the family with the SS new look. So they did do market research. Most say it looks like a charger, cool, so now that reaches those who like the better selling charger. It looks like bumble bee? It did also when 5th gen came out and that’s why new people became Camaro owners. Are current Camaro owners really gonna buy another SS? Probably not. Stop crying and get the ZL1

To be precise, the Camaro SS has been around since 1967 until 1972, then the lone sporty Camaro was the Z28 until 74. The most sporty Camaro you could buy in 75 and 76 was the LT. then the Z28 came back in 77. The SS only came back in 1996 to 2002 then back in 2010 and been here since.

This is the perfect color for the Camaro!
The dimensioning of the 2011 SS is pretty good all around but needs front and rear camera badly. The 2019 you have to get the nitrogen mixture right or might get the bends. Drive around in a gas mask covered in foam peanuts up to your neck. The back seat is a spinal cord compressor over speed bumps. All funny aside they are reasonably well built cars though and fun.

I had a 2016 Camaro SS and it was amazing and fun to drive but ultimately wasn't very practical, so now I have a 2019 Subaru WRX STI.

Thats pretty awesome,i recently totalled my 17 STI and bought a 19 2SS, not nearly as livable as the STI but the performance on this car beats the STI by far.. both are great cars and i see alot of subie ppl go to camaro or vice versa! Seems we all have a similiar taste 💪

Mustang 2019 GT: 460 HP 420 ft-lb torque and 0-60 in 3.9 Sec with Auto. All with a way superior coyote gen-3 5.0L engine. other than torque, everything is identical. How is it superior especially if more torque isnt translating into 0-60 time?
