Methi Matar Pulao is a healthy and tasty pulao recipe made from a combination of two winter vegetable Fenugreek Leaves and Green Peas. This Pulav recipe is quick and easy to make. You can have Methi Mutter Pulao for lunch / dinner or take this recipe in lunch box! Matar Pulao is best served with any gravy or raita.
Ingredients:
- 5-6 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Green Chillies
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 4-5 Cloves
- 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
- 1/2 cup Onion (sliced)
- Salt
- 1 cup Fenugreek Leaves (chopped)
- 1/2 cup Green Peas
- 1 cup Rice (washed & soaked)
- 2 cups Water (lukewarm)
- Salt

Chef, if we are using dry methi, do we add them just before the final 12 minutes cooking stage?
Pls come to blore. Methi is always used in pulao . We have it every other day and Methi n matar is commonly used.
Chef.. very interesting recipe...very good tips ...however would have liked you to include a tip about quantity of water to be added if the pulao is cooked in the pressure cooker...hope to hear from you on this...thanks.

Hi Varun... I had watched this recipe sometime back... but today I tried it came out very aromatic & flavorful.... every body enjoyed...
Along with it dal tadka.. not a single grain of rice leftover...
I made it by grinding mathi leaves still it turned out to be tasty and colourfull i have posted it in my channel as well...

If you have soaked the rice, you will need lesser amount of water than the double amount.

Sublime... This is for all those who say Indian cuisine is too strong on oily gravies. I would like to keep the salt level low to begin with and give a round of coarsely crushed rock salt and lime juice just before serving.
