I'm almost 40 years old, I've traveled the world, eaten eggs on every continent (even Antarctica) and I've still never met a better omelet than what WH serves. Great demo.

True story. Have eaten omelettes all over America, Europe, Asia... from family owned diners to 5 star hotels and michelin restaurants..... never had one quite like the fluffy cheese omelletes at the waffle house I tried in Alabama.

@@pedrol.1782 , it WOULD BE the best omelet if they actually used quality ingredients...as in, good farm-fresh eggs with yellowish-orange yolks, cheeses, and low-melt oils. i ordered the pan, seasoned exactly as shown, and i have been told that my ham-n-cheese omelets, made with quality ingredients, are epic. get the alegacy eagleware pan (EW1020), salt/oil season the pan properly, blend the eggs with a bullet, shake cook them and keep flipping the omelet on (start high temp, end low temp). add cheese and whatever else you want, and voila...
p.s. only add salt/pepper on top of the omelet when plated. salt does some weird shit to eggs during cooking. lastly, NEVER let dishwashing soap of any kind hit the pan...ever! just rinse the cold pan in hot water. otherwise, you will be going back to square one with the seasoning. cheers.

Kudos to the young man that made this video. Using just very basic recording tools he produced an educational video that got straight to the point and was clear and concise. The professionals on TH-cam that are making long videos with almost no useful content could learn from this young man.

I work at IHOP now so Waffle House tutorials are done for me. but its pretty simple.
Scatter your hashbrowns on some oil, through a scoop full of onions on your scattered hashbrowns. Wait until they turn golden brown on the bottom (and yes, you can tell) Flip them, count to about thirty, then put a slice of cheese on top.

A well seasoned pan can last for dozens of omelets. When the pan starts sticking or burning its time to wash and re season it.

Old video, but a great one! Unlike other comments, I did know it was blended in the milkshake blender. My favorite at Waffle House is the omelet and I've watched very eagle eye to make it myself at home. The thing I learned from your video is to heat the pan more then I was prior to adding the egg. I am going to try this trick, thanks!
Secondly, you gotta tell me the secret to the hash browns! I am certain they are par cooked and dehydrated. They must be. They are just so light and delicious. I just can't make grated hash browns properly and I can cook!
Lastly, the critics in your comments.. wow. Who cares about presentation, uniforms, scoop size or whatever. Truly, some serious douche bag comments. I appreciate the video and the short history lesson.

Thanks for this video - you solve one of my life's biggest mysteries. I have tried using a blender before but my omelettes still came out flat. What made the difference for me was the higher temperature and "rolling" the omelette around in the pan. I had been lowering the temperature to prevent scorching. This method works awesome! Using an immersion blender works great for me when using this method. I need to get a good pan and season it properly. Using a non-stick pan I am having sticking issues - still come out fluffy but can't get a good round shape.
Would love to know more about that lo melt oil you use. Is this Kaoli out or something different?
Thanks again for a great video?
