Haha! you said "My name is Tom Antos" so fast that it sounded like "hello myos tomatoes". And by the way, I really appreciate your efforts in making these videos, they're really insightful. I learnt "Cinematography" in college but I realized that they forgot to teach me a lot of things after watching your videos. Thank you !!
THANK YOU for making this video! I'd been waiting for forever and bugging Mr.CheesyCam about sample footage, but never got any. Question: Can you remote operate it with an RC-style receiver/transmitter combination? Normal Basecam/Alexmos boards have hookups for standard 3-prong receiver inputs. With this gimbal being so small and light, it's a distinct possibility for being a cheaper replacement to a Zenmuse for flying around on a multirotor.
Great videos as usual.. Can you capture some more cinematic type shots with it, as apposed to just running around with it? I would really like to see it in action, used as if in a feature or with more intentional movement.. Thanks!
Antonio Melendez Productions Of course you can use it for more cinematic shots. It allows you to get smooth moving shots so if you can get cinematic shots with a static camera then this will also do the same.
Great reviews! I have two questions... 1. I saw a video, that showed the came 7800 and it came disassembled. Do they come disassembled? Or ready to use? 2. I use a Canon 60d, can the mini gimbal handle this weight, or should I go to the 7800??
Can that handle Nikon D4 or similiar sized/weighted camera? Looks cool and the pricing of that is great! I bought china-gimbal with a price half of CAME-MINI 2... the problem is that it's still in "pieces" after half of an year :D Maybe I'll buy this instead.
Good review !! What about the CAME-MINI 2 compared with CAME-SINGLE (just one handheld) ? In your opinion, Which one has better stabilisation ? Thanks, I'd appreciate any comment about it !!
Do you think this could be modified to work with something like the Movi Ring? Does it use 15mm rod? Then rods could probably used to make a large rectangle?
I can't find any details about the width of camera it can hold or the weight. I mostly fly smaller cameras but want to hold a DSLR like a 5D3 if needed.
Hi Tom - Which CameTV gimbal would you recommend for Sony A7rII (620g) and a Rokinon 35mm T1.5 (720g)? Briefcase mode is important. Inverted mode is important (upright mode). Payload of 3 Kilos would be nice.
Hi Tom. I want to buy a gimbal but don't know which to get. Should I buy a Ronin M? Moza Light? Came? What do you think? I will use it with DSLRs and DSLMs. Tahnk you very much! :)
Tom Antos Hi and thx again for another great review. I know it's a tough question but between the 7800 and the Mini 2, which one would you advise to choose for a GH4? Got trouble making my mind!
+Ben Mercedes GH4 weight = 1.23 lbs, sigma 18-35 = 1.79 lbs so already it's rated as too heavy for this gimbal and you still have to add the weight of the metabones adapter :(
kenyee88 Battery I tested this with is around 2-3 hours use... depends on how you use it. The batteries are really cheap though so it's not a problem buying more online in places like amazon or ebay. As for the gh4 and speedboster with the sigma lens Im not sure because I don't have that lens. The official weight limit on this gimbal is 1.2kg or 2.6 pounds, so weight your camera setup and see if it's within the weight limit.
Sumedh Chaphekar I have two of them with a bunch of lenses and accessories. The GH4 is good in slow motion and the A7s in low light, but I didn't like the color temp and both of them did not convinced me for switching right now. I'll get the C300 if there is no new CAM coming to the market.
Hello, I have a problem and maybe you can help me. Buy this same came-tv mini 2 and use it only 2 times and when you try to use it for the third time lets work but the motors do not respond gimbal is like dead... I do not press anything... I think maybe is the battery but the flash light of the charger never turn off What I can do ? Please help me...
Sumedh Chaphekar A rig like this gives you mounting points for a light, audio, monitor. Nebula is much nimbler and stealthy. If you are doing production, you want a rig. If you are shooting in city during rush hour, get Nebula.
+Tom Antos (Tom Antos Films) yes, that would be a great review. I own the Came Single, but I don't think I can pull of the super smooth running shots with it, like the ones you were able to get with the Came Mini 2 in this video.
This looks great but I'd really like to use my anamorphot... What's the weight limit on the mini2? What are the downsides of the 7500? Is it still a viable option? www.came-tv.com/assembled-32-bit-came7500-3-axis-gimbal-dslr-stabilizer-p-565.html

thanks for the excellent review. You and Em from Cheesy Cam have convinced me that this is a perfect fit with the A7s so I bought tonight.
Tom thank you for your reviews, they are so relevant and necessary.
Hallo, Great video. Just got one Came mini2 myself. Good tip to secure the motors. But, how about the pan-motor, doesn't that one need some safety?
That gimbal looks like a great pice of video gear. Thanks for the overview.

Excellent videos! How silent is this gimbal for interior shots? I heard audio horrors about gimbals when operated indoors.
Great reviews!

will you be reviewing the mini 3 soon? ish...
hey man, those gimbals have micro stutter, could you make comperative test with and without lens optical stabilization on those gimbals?
off record...what lens are you using?
Auto focus on, right?
Thanks, cheers.
Good review !! What about the CAME-MINI 2 compared with CAME-SINGLE (just one handheld) ? In your opinion, Which one has better stabilisation ? Thanks, I'd appreciate any comment about it !!
Great video Tom! What's the lens you are using in this clip?
Do you think this could be modified to work with something like the Movi Ring?
Does it use 15mm rod?
Then rods could probably used to make a large rectangle?
Awesome video!! Please Does it have an analog joystick controller??
Ufuoma Elvis Yes the joystick is right next to the right handle
I can't find any details about the width of camera it can hold or the weight. I mostly fly smaller cameras but want to hold a DSLR like a 5D3 if needed.
hi, tom. great video as always. would you recommend this over the dji ronin-m for professional work?
Great review. Thanks. Does anyone know a place that stocks this in London to rent or buy currently?
Hallo Tom --- Can i buy handle for this CAME TV Mini 2 so i can use only one hand ?? Like dji osmo thing
Great review!
Also do you think this would work with the Canon Rebel line? 600D, 700D etc

Briefcase mode is important.
Inverted mode is important (upright mode).
Payload of 3 Kilos would be nice.
gsrox2007 The Came 7800 is really the only one that would work with that combo
nice. did you do any post process stabilization? thanks :)
Lester Zamora No
Hi Tom. I want to buy a gimbal but don't know which to get. Should I buy a Ronin M? Moza Light? Came? What do you think? I will use it with DSLRs and DSLMs. Tahnk you very much! :)
Hi Tom would that Gimbal cary a Nikon 810 or a Canon D5 mark III ???
Do you think this will work with the Sony Alpha 6000?
how do you focus? what options are there for pulling focus/autofocus
Tom Antos Hi and thx again for another great review. I know it's a tough question but between the 7800 and the Mini 2, which one would you advise to choose for a GH4? Got trouble making my mind!
***** if you are just using the GH4 with native M43 lenses then I would get the Mini 2.
Tom Antos Thank you for your prompt answer
hey how did you create the word vice in the corner of the video
Any official information about maximum weight ? Because depending on the lens you use, a A7S + lens can be the weight of a RED...
Bruno Slam The official weight limit on this gimbal is 1.2kg or 2.6 pounds
Tom Antos Thank you ;-)
+Tom Antos (Tom Antos Films) so technically a gh4 with meatabones and sigma 18-35 its 1553 grams. Will work with this gimbal? :-)
+Rima Nemțu any answer if the came mini 2 will work with the sigma 18-35?
+Ben Mercedes GH4 weight = 1.23 lbs, sigma 18-35 = 1.79 lbs so already it's rated as too heavy for this gimbal and you still have to add the weight of the metabones adapter :(
Have you used Metabones Speedboost with these? Will they Work?
which would you recommend Came-Mini 2 or CAM single?
Any improvements on battery life? That's one thing the Ronin M got right...
And can this support the gh4 with a sigma 18-35 speed booster setup?
kenyee88 Battery I tested this with is around 2-3 hours use... depends on how you use it. The batteries are really cheap though so it's not a problem buying more online in places like amazon or ebay. Do you know / Does anyone know if this gimbal can be purchased in Germany / Austria?
look forward to came single
about maximum weight, depending on the lens.. what is lens for GH4 on your video ?
Good review and clever idea. Too bad that it doesn't support 5DM3.
Thanks,
Kamal Saad Thanks! I will test it out to see if it could work with a 5D... maybe it's possible if it's balanced perfectly
Why are you using a 5D bro?
Sumedh Chaphekar I have two of them with a bunch of lenses and accessories. The GH4 is good in slow motion and the A7s in low light, but I didn't like the color temp and both of them did not convinced me for switching right now. I'll get the C300 if there is no new CAM coming to the market.
TomAntosFilms Thanks Tom, waiting your feedback. I ordered MOZA Lite on May 21, last week received an eMail for another month delay.
With work on an iPhone with the right mount ?
what if i want to put a external recorder like the Atomos Infernal
Hello, I have a problem and maybe you can help me. What I can do ?
Please help me...
Based on your experience. If i buy this, is necesary to buy a monitor to?, in order to work your frame?
Carlos de la Cruz nope. I shot all the examples you see here without an extra monitor.
does it work with a cannon Rebel T3I ????
ebay's all sold out any other link to get one at the $400usd (ebay) price range
Will the GH4 still fit if you want to install a quick release plate?
JJGVIDEO2011 Yes it will. You can always take out the front bracket if it gets in the way.
Haw is coast gimbal..?
Should I go for this or the Nebula
Sumedh Chaphekar A rig like this gives you mounting points for a light, audio, monitor. Nebula is much nimbler and stealthy. If you are doing production, you want a rig. If you are shooting in city during rush hour, get Nebula.
Canon 70D com lente 24mm e bateria , tudo pesa 875g ,funciona com este estabilizador ?
CAME Single v CAME Mini2 - future review?
onenarrowdoor Great idea!
+Tom Antos (Tom Antos Films) yes, that would be a great review. I own the Came Single, but I don't think I can pull of the super smooth running shots with it, like the ones you were able to get with the Came Mini 2 in this video.
+Tom Antos (Tom Antos Films) boleh saya pesan a 7 s tom
Ronin M or Mini 2? Tom Antos
Film Autre I will have to compare the Ronin M before I can tell you
Does anyone know the weight of the actual gimbal?
this one is nice! :) cool!
Will this work with a FS100?
Parker Foster Too big and heavy
What lens is that?
IronicaNomura Hope 12-35mm luminous vario g lens
Price...????
Does anybody know what camera gimbal is for?
And also what is DJI camera gimbal is for?
+Chornay Lim To stabilize the camera and avoid shaky footage
will this work with my canon 80d?
With a small and light lens Yes. Not with a heavier lens
can this be used for canon 60D. LOL
+Toney Franco I'm currently trying to find out too, I weighed mine and it was about 1kg and the max payload is 1.1kg so technically it should
that Reuleaux vape tho
the price is wayyyyyy overblown. $1000? No way...
This looks great but I'd really like to use my anamorphot... What's the weight limit on the mini2?
What are the downsides of the 7500? Is it still a viable option?
www.came-tv.com/assembled-32-bit-came7500-3-axis-gimbal-dslr-stabilizer-p-565.html
amanwithnohands the 7500 works but is not as fast for balancing. If you want a bigger gimbal then I would suggest the 7800 model
Are you in autofocus ?
1st: Do you shoot a lot on locations that are out in the wilderness? Or do you just love camping?
2nd: ...Are you running around in your underwear?
Cinevape 1. Yes and yes 2. Hell yeah!
TomAntosFilms
Presenting *Tom Antos*: _The best dude ever_.
man those running shots in the beginning look like crap. tons of vibration
surely this is worse than a ronin M?
Ronin-M is better
do think it can handle gh4 plus 14-24mm nikor?
I have a canon 1200d t5 think that is compatible with that gimbal ?
