It's way too much money for a Scat Pack. The basic Hellcat with roll up windows was just under $70k. You could get a wide body hellcat with zero options for this price range.
Don’t forget dealer markups. Probably gonna need to add about $25k in dealer markup to that $85k!!! And don’t forget tags and “taxes” ! Still haven’t put on any kits or add ons. Then finally the nitrogen for each tire fee. Gonna be over $100k for a “scatpack” (which it pains me to call that EV) .
These cars are going to be nearly impossible to sell at MSRP. If a dealer adds a markup these things are going to rot on the showroom floor. Then factor in the rule not to buy a car the first year it's released because of glitches. Dodge is deep in **it now.
@@John_Caravella Its not Dodges fault. They wanted to keep making gas engines but Stellantis (their owner) is pushing this EV agenda. You also have to factor in Bidens America and how he is literally trying to outlaw gas engines like its some sort of prohibition.

I'm good, I will def be keeping my 2016 Pitch Black Challenger Hellcat, optioned out. Seriously though, when I first saw the 2025 Charger Daytona, it kind of looked like a Camaro in the front.
First, it’s a Stellantis, 2nd, it’s an EV not an ICE vehicle & I don’t care how they dolled it up superficially. My son has a Tesla model Y & his tires had 24K On them & had to replace. Ur better off just getting a bmw m3 or m4 with their inline 6 twin turbo. It will absolutely be better. The s58 engine is insane and has amazing tuning potential
Look wise I’ll give it a 7 maybe an 8. EV gets a big fat zero. I don’t want an EV and I don’t want a 6…even if it’s got a turbo or 2. Not only that…$82 k for a Scat? I’ll pass
Anybody know the status on the scat pack 6.4 direct connection kits? Racer said they’re coming late summer…. yet I haven’t seen any news about them whatsoever….
Thanks for the preview! I'm so thankful for my 2020 Challenger Shaker Scat. This EV thing will never beat that in terms of raw firepower sound, feel and fun. Oh and does anyone else think most of these screens look so obnoxious? The integration is terrible. Like someone just slapped 'em on the dashboard.
Between everything going on with Stellantis and this being the first generation of this vehicle you would have to be out of your mind to buy one!! Especially when $30k overpriced!!!!!
The Tesla does not even have a gauge cluster or speedometer where it is normally located. It has a stupid screen that looks like a child hot glued an iPad to the dash. The sound is actually pretty cool. It's a concept that I saw in the Vince Vaughn movie " The dilemma" .
That is a very nice looking tribute to the 1969/1970 Charger, even more so than the outgoing 4 door Charger. I thought the 4 door Charger was a bad idea. Now for the EV, just leave the exhaust by "Bose" off. That is ridiculous. I can't wait to see the inline straight 6 with the turbo. I had a chance to ride in a 2025 RAM RHO at the Texas State fair...It sounded amazing and was quick.
Was willing to give it a chance when Tim first announced it, but with the pricing, the stats and specs out, it's a hard pass for me. Eff that lol. I'll pick up a pre-Stellantis Scat Pack or Hellcat instead.
So, why not just get the Mustang GT? You'll get a man's engine and true Muscle Car feel! Also I'd wait if you're looking for a V8 Sedan because Ford may be bringing the Taurus out with a V8 on the Ford Falcon body and platform.
RacerX, you’re trying to generate excitement but it’s not what I want from Dodge. Fake sound and electric. It’s a big pass. Add ICE, especially V8 then it’s great. EV sales are slowing and these will just be more paperweights on the dealers lots.
👍 Very nice looking design. But worth noting that the 2019 Tesla S Raven also had ~670HP, running 10.4 at 125MPH. (So that kind of EV power feels kinda “5 years ago”.) We made 1001 trouble-free dragstrip passes with ours. Hope this one is just as reliable! 😃
@@danielkimball3037 And as he says in the video, EVs aren’t for everyone. But for those that want the power and reliability, a Plaid is $89K for 1020HP/1050TQ. That will make this Charger a tough sell at $80K 🤔
@TeslaPlaidChannel 100% correct. Why buy this when a 1000hp+ Plaid is so close in price and a proven 1/4 mile monster..if it were in the high 40, low 50k range then there would be a good argument for this car..I don't really understand Dodge's rational with this car
The quoted quarter mile time time (11.7 seconds) is more in line with the 2015 Tesla Model S P85D that was released 10 years ago. Motor Trend reported 3.1 0-60 and 11.6 quarter. That car cost $120,000. So the Scat Pack would be a great bargain if Dodge could take a time machine to 2014.
@@TeslaPlaidChannel And that's a Plaid. A Model 3 performance will smoke the R/T version of this....honestly, Dodge took their part of an ever diminishing overall market in vehicles, where specialities are becoming way more of a thing....and they just gave it up. They are advertising that you only get the tax credit if you lease. The batteries must be from Europe and hopefully not China
Man You going to be upset because if you hear that dodge sound you will be mad and you better keep your dodge Challenger.
It looks kinda big. Dodge could call it a Cybercar?
Honestly If it had the 392 or a 5.3L/5.5L v8 in it , it would be a nice buy. I’d rather personally scoop at dark horse tremec at that price lvl.
That's way too much money for a Dark Horse. Those should be like 50k.
It's way too much money for a Scat Pack. The basic Hellcat with roll up windows was just under $70k. You could get a wide body hellcat with zero options for this price range.
Shit you could by a Bentley for that price with the warranty 😂😂
@@vicunaleather6992 pretty much lol
That new dash with infotainment and the chairs on a 2024 wide body scat pack challenger would be perfect
I'm a practical man with a long commute and a sense of fun, and *this* is an electric 2-dr AWD hatchback with a full measure of personality and style - Count me in! I'm really looking forward to picking this car up in two years' time for $30k! :-)
It’s actually better looking than I expected…but man these prices…
And don't forget Dodge Charger ev sounds I hate it
Nice to see the Push to Start button right next to a Spilled Coffee drink😂
Let's not forget that this thing weights over 5k. this thing is heavier than a fully load 2025 double cab dodge ram
I don't get why it is so heavy? Even comparable electric vehicles are much lighter. Does the Fratzonic exhaust weigh 800 lbs or something?
@@mfan2492the electric battery
@@Laidbck93 and the motors arent anything special, it probably struggles to hit 120
Why does the rear light STILL not line up right?
The trunk was part of the way open
@@RacerX9 that’s a relief. I’ve seen many challengers where it’s crooked closed.
Yeah, that looks really good. I like a lot better! I think the white brings out the true shape of the car better than some of the other colors we saw. This car gives you a better idea what it looks like and it does look nice. I have to admit!
The best video I’ve seen on it and I like it. I gotta get another hellcat before I buy one though🏁
No thanks I’ll take a hemi
It's amazing how people get so excited over EV junk.
Hemi’s are made in Mexico
@@LeadfootLou duh!
Can you imagine the amount of recalls that are going to happen.
I'm good, I will def be keeping my 2016 Pitch Black Challenger Hellcat, optioned out. Seriously though, when I first saw the 2025 Charger Daytona, it kind of looked like a Camaro in the front.
Looks like 66’ Charger 👀
Mopar community is going to use this platform as a chassis base for v8 hellcat conversions . Wait and see .
First, it’s a Stellantis, 2nd, it’s an EV not an ICE vehicle & I don’t care how they dolled it up superficially. My son has a Tesla model Y & his tires had 24K On them & had to replace. RANGE ANXIETY, him & wife afraid to pass charging stations plus don’t use the A/ C!!! It was 100 degrees in Oklahoma & they were afraid if they used A/C they might not make it home!!
Then they bought the wrong car for where they live. Me being on the east coast I can’t go 5 miles without being near a charger
😬 can't imagine living like that after spending the big price tag for it.
I have a mach e and I love it. It works well for me but it has to fit your needs. My next car will likely be an EV.
How much is the option to get that exhaust speaker system removed
Looks good but I well wait for the hurricane version
Why didn't we get to see under the hood? was that a gas door or an electric plug-in outlet?
NO
80k is LUDACRIS STELLANTIS just don't get it 😂😂😂😂😂 .
It'll be a hit if they sell it for 50-60k but no chance many people are buying that for 80k
Manual?
I'm interested in the 6 pack version
Same
Really hoping its cheaper
Ur better off just getting a bmw m3 or m4 with their inline 6 twin turbo. It will absolutely be better. The s58 engine is insane and has amazing tuning potential
@@G82Watts Well the 6 Pack is probably gonna be cheaper than the M3 or the M4.
@@tregaming07 I just don't even see the point anymore. Dodge is going bankrupt lol.
Dual ICE and electric platforms are a mess, go with a vehicle designed to be ICE from the start.
Is there an SRT version with a different steering wheel?
Look wise I’ll give it a 7 maybe an 8. EV gets a big fat zero. I don’t want an EV and I don’t want a 6…even if it’s got a turbo or 2. Not only that…$82 k for a Scat? I’ll pass
Anybody know the status on the scat pack 6.4 direct connection kits? Racer said they’re coming late summer…. yet I haven’t seen any news about them whatsoever….
Needs about a 30k discount to be competitive
Just wait a year and the used ones will be half the price. Depreciation is good for the second owner.
If I could afford it. I still wouldn’t buy it. 😂
It just raised the value of every 6.4 and 5.7 Mopar out there. Glad I already have mine.
The hurricane models might be ok, but the EV version is not wanted for the price point. A mustang or corvette is more appealing for the price.
All we wanted was a refresh of the interior, maybe minor refresh to the exterior, and more hp to the rt and scatpack hemis…we didn’t ask for this.
Between everything going on with Stellantis and this being the first generation of this vehicle you would have to be out of your mind to buy one!! Especially when $30k overpriced!!!!!
Can you turn off the outside speakers?
The Tesla does not even have a gauge cluster or speedometer where it is normally located. It has a stupid screen that looks like a child hot glued an iPad to the dash. Their "vegan" leather is a fancy term for vinyl.
I am digging the interior of this new Charger. I just got my Hellcat Challenger a year ago, so not in the market for a new car
trust me, tesla got this beat bro
@@devildogentertainment4904horsepower maybe. Interior? Not even close. I have been in plenty of Telsas. Their interior is plastic garbage. Not all Teslas are super fast either
It doesn’t have that fierce look anymore, that car looks friendly like a tesla
I’ve been waiting for a drive video. I have an appointment w/my local dealership when they start to arrive. I’m very curious what it feels like.
I asked to drive it and at first I thought they were going to let me but then they shut me down. I was disappointed
That's pretty cool. I can't wait until they arrive at dealerships. I want to check them out.
@@TwoTimesRmediasame. I wish people would just shut up and give them a chance. The design is so awesome and retro. I'm super excited to get my hands on one.
@@AP383BB me too , people really have a hard time dealing with change. Progression and evolution stops for no one. Carburators are "gone" and when that happened people were outraged also. Yet you can still buy them now. It will be the same for the V8 engines. To me, these cars look amazing especially when compared to the bland Tesla's interior and exteriors. The sound is actually pretty cool. It's a concept that I saw in the Vince Vaughn movie " The dilemma" .
@@AP383BB agree.
Is there a option to turn the rev sound off
Not a EV fan but it’s definitely sharp car. Give me a 6 pack with a msrp in line with the mustang GT and I might be interested in one.
So, why not just get the Mustang GT? You'll get a man's engine and true Muscle Car feel! Also I'd wait if you're looking for a V8 Sedan because Ford may be bringing the Taurus out with a V8 on the Ford Falcon body and platform.
They could’ve put this interior and exterior for at least one model year with a gas engine. 😒
RacerX, you’re trying to generate excitement but it’s not what I want from Dodge. Fake sound and electric. It’s a big pass.
Add ICE, especially V8 then it’s great. EV sales are slowing and these will just be more paperweights on the dealers lots.
I’m just showing the car.. this is not a car I would buy necessarily
6,000lbs 💀💀💀
Uhhhh I think I'll stick with my Scatpack T/A
very true, the angles/stance look a lot better than in the promotions
👍 Very nice looking design. But worth noting that the 2019 Tesla S Raven also had ~670HP, running 10.4 at 125MPH. (So that kind of EV power feels kinda “5 years ago”.) We made 1001 trouble-free dragstrip passes with ours. Hope this one is just as reliable! 😃
Agreed. These horsepower levels for EV seems about 5 years behind the times.
Ford and Chevy will gladly take that mantle and fill that void. And good on them for doing so.
The big seller is going to be the base HURRICANE SIX equipped Charger.
I will definitely be buying one of these Charger Daytona EVs when I can afford it. Most likely I'll have to buy it used.
That’s embarrassing
@@sinarquista9895 No, you're embarrassing for just being a hater.

Mustang vibes. Tf I look like sitting at a supercharger when traveling lol
I've owned several Mustangs, 3 Camaros, and 2 Challengers over the years. I love those cars. Currently drive a Tesla Model Y Performance that is faster than them all (albeit not as cool). Even as an EV-friendly car guy, I'd never buy this car. Buying any EV other than a Tesla right now, is dumb. They have it figured it out. Dodge certainly does not.
yup they aren’t appealing to anyone with this car.
But slower than a 20 year old Toyota on a long trip.
