In This Video, I show you the simple steps to firstly reset your garage door remote and then show you how to program it. Simple step by step garage remote how to guide.
Steps:
================================
|Clear existing Memory Settings|
================================
1. Hold down the A & B Button (the two closest to the LED Light)
2. While Holding down Button A (Left) Press (Slowly) button B -right one, 3 times
3. Then Release Button A.
Now no button presses will operate the light (LED)
================================
|How to Set New Learning Code |
================================
This is a 2 Stage Process:
=========
|STAGE 1| Programming New REMOTE
=========
1. Get old door opener and the new non-programmed one close to each other
2. One the old Remote that works, hold down the button that works on the door
3. Now Press and hold the button (The LED will Flash a few times and then be raon the new remote you wish to operate your door with.
4. Hold this button down until the LED light goes Solid
5. Stage one Complete

|STAGE 2| Syncing to Door Master Controller (If Above does not work)
=========
1. Put Garage Door Master Controller into learning mode and wait till it is in listening mode (Each type is different = refer to your owners manual) and then press the button you have configured. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

Tried 3 different videos - the approach shown here was the one which worked for me. Note that the approach was different from the instructions provided with the remote. Video is really clear and specific on steps needed and how you know the programming is working - i.e. what LEDs flash and when. Really useful - many thanks

Thank you so much! I managed to get an universal remote from Aliexpress (not the one you show here) up and running thanks to your video. But strangely: All four buttons seem to be programmed now, but only one is doing anything - and it is NOT the one I pressed during the cloning process. But the main thing is that I now have a working clone!
I saw another vid that showed how to clear out the program but it didn't work. Yours did! Thank you so much!

Worked with 4003 Rev2.1 🙂. Note to release B and click three times was the main issue I had. Was able to clone from TX3312 B1.0. Thanks 👍

Thanks. Two additional tips: Mine would stil not open the garage door, despite the led blinking confirmation. Turned out there was a tiny piece of bare metal wire broken loose from the solder on one side, on the back of the new remote. I soldered it back and now it works fine! I had to 'tune' to the right frequency by turning the tiny screw on the bottom right first though. :)
Just wondering before I pull my elderly neighbours remote apart can you actually change the frequency on these remotes if that’s what I take ‘tune’ as or you just having a laugh
@@simonkirton8521 I believe they support 2 freqencies, 430 and 320 or something like that. So it's likely some kind of binary switch.

I got the same remote as in the demo.
I programmed it up and it works.
I had to hold the remote one metre away from the opener, cos the remote batteries were so flat.
Off to get some new batteries.
Can i program the RC like when i press A to open when i press B to close ?

Hi, I did it but when I press the button to open the garage is not working, you said something at the end but I didn’t understand, something with the motor? I did the same with a car remote control and works, but I’m not sure why with the garage is not working
Thanks, that got it going. But A would only open the door so programmed C straight after in same way and now A opens and C closes, I'm happy with that.👌
Cheers. Maybe your door master controller memory is full. you can clear it and start from scratch. should work. TH-cam it :) I think I did a video years ago that had how to reset and clear the master controller memory.

Bought this type of remote firstly the case doesnt close after you install the battery and either way couldn't get it to reset

Hi, anyone know what to do when the key doesn't reset properly. I've got a 3 button which is exactly the same. I programmed it ages ago and I wanted to reset it but I forgot the instructions. I thought it would be the same process by no luck unfortunately. BTW, when I open the key to reveal board and battery, it actually has 4 programmable button, but only three on the outside. Not sure why they hid one of them

All well and good if it flashes 3 times but what about when the light just flashes rapidly when pushing A and B
Is there any possibility to erase the code from the original remote when programming a new remote? I have only one original, and I don't know how to reprogram again if needed. 🙄
Thanks so much. Lifesaver ! In my case I only got one to work. The other would not reset . The button solid Flash after reset on every button . Edit : got it to work. Must be something about the timing issue with resetting

I followed all instructions and it shows that my remote is linked. But still doesnt open garage. Have tried doing it on the actual garage door as last part instructed. Flashes as if synced. But still doesnt work 2 open garage :( please help.
I had two remotes for this model one was stolen out of my car, if I follow the guide above, and reset the existing remote, will the stolen remote still work ?
Hi Michelle, Very ... very good question. What you can to is clear all the previous saved configs in your door controller. then add your new ones! that should solve your problem.

Hi there, I seem to be having issues with teh second part "go into the garage door operation unit and put it into learning mode, then once you have done that press the button and booyah!" How do I put the door unit into learning mode?
On the back of the box unit which hangs on the ceiling of your garage door you’ll see a button which says” learn” . That’s what he is talking about
Really happy I came accross your video but this still didn't work for me as my garage control unit does not recognize the new remote. Which is the same remote as the one you have. Also my garage opener is a Chamberlain but guess a different model from yours. I got a ML500. Any suggestions or is it perhaps that this remote will simply not work for this model?

Try doing to the Door opening controller (On the door itself) and press your buttons on the remote.... can you see the light rapidly flashing on the control unit? if so, it is seeing your remote , but just needs to be #CODED# into your controller. try the last part of my instruction on how to do that. - see how you go
Westy's How To Guides Thank you for your reply. I have noticed that when I use the original remote the LED on the control unit flashes rapidly but it does not flash rapidly when using the new remote. I guess that answers my question then, the control unit does not see the remote. Will have to look into another model.

Open your B & D MAin Module in your garage and see if it has the frequency on it ... should be 433Mhz if not ... get which frequency it is and then get on online and follow the same set up. you will be able to clear all previous paired coeds and set a new one. Look up your model specs online and you should find a manual that works.
mate the last part of your vid is exactly what im looking for. But I didn't quite get what you mean. I seemed to have copied the program onto my universal key but it didn't work on the door. Look up your Garage door control unit manual and work out how you put it into learning mode. Once in the mode. Press your new remote that you programmed in my above video and Viola!
Press and hold DOOR
CODE button once
Select one of the four buttons on
key transmitter you wish to use to
control the door. Or the button on
the end of the manual release cord.
Setting the Transmitter to Operate the Door
The opener can only operate from transmitters that have
been programmed into its receiver. The receiver needs to
learn the codes of any transmitter that will be used with the
operator. Up to sixty four (64) codes can be stored in the
receiver’s memory.
a. Ensure the button cover has been removed (see
Electrocution caution) and the opener is turned on.
b. Press and hold the DOOR CODE button. The DOOR
CODE LED will illuminate and beep to indicate the
opener is in Code Learn mode (Fig. 8.1).
c. Press and hold the transmitter button that you want to
control the door for two (2) seconds, pause for two (2)
seconds, then press the same button again for two (2)
seconds and release.
d. Release the DOOR CODE button.
e. Press the transmitter button to test.
