Rap is a unique genre; you have to use your words and your emotions to be in a rap, so I believe that you can't just say "Oh, you can't do the OG music", "Ah, so many people would kill to perform OG music" etc because you have to show your own feelings in rao and you normally you can't just use other peoples feelings.

But the thing is this is what Kelly was saying... she was saying that you’re dealing with a genre that’s is completely different from any other genre ever created... the nuances and creativities of rap are culturally specific and very unlike anything we have seen in previous years.. so it makes sense to bend the rules as it comes to hip pop... you can sing a song in any way to make it different... rap takes a whole different skill set

George was completely wrong about Sam. The premise of The Voice is to find an *artist* with a unique, marketable sound. Everything Sam did was with his voice. Although he's completely right here but he framed his point badly. There wasn't an equal opportunity for both contestants, because they have different talents. You're eliminating someone based not on how well they did compared to the other. You're arbitrarily deciding which talent you liked more. An operatic take on Skyfall is more of a niche than rap, so no real surprise why she liked the rap more. If he focused more on how unfair it is for the contestants, and less so on just ranting at Kelly, he wouldn't have come across as an arrogant, prickly old queen.
No one excutes hemselves perfectly ALL the time. Not even you. Instead calling George an "arrogant quern" you couldve just said he made a mistake. Plain and simple without name calling. I personally had no idea rappers were allowed on The Voice so this is new to me. Both Kelly and George were guilty in different ways but who cares its history now. TH-cam just keeps things alive.

Drug abuse doesn't change the fact that he has been a musical icon for years and has the experience to prove it. You can disagree with what he's saying, but I don't think using his past drug addiction as a reason for him to not speak his mind is okay.

He is Asthmatic which has affected his voice and breathing as he got older ( almost 60) So hes not going to sound the same as he did in the 80s is he? He had surgery on his vocal cords which made his voice rougher .Nothing to do with drugs. Go do some research before making grass statements
