My favorite part is when Cody is battling the red head and they each had a moment oh "wow she's so good" when each other sang. Such beautiful souls

I’m not normally an emotional person but for some reason that performance got to me, the song goes well with them and they both looked so happy for each other it was amazing.
Maybe I'm different but my heart broke for Heather because it looked like she knew almost immediately she was outclassed.
Heather would win if she battled somebody else. She's actually great too, but unfortunately on her side, Cody's not just great but also unique. It's a rare quality that makes a singer/artist special.
She's really like a mini-me version of George in the 80's, that's why he loves her like a proud big brother / dad.
Red headed girl in the first battle knew she wasn't going to make it in the moment she sang the first note. I felt for her.

This young woman has what many artists struggle to achieve, rawness. Cody's voice is unique and carries emotion with it.
Nope, actually Heather can do things with her voice that singers wish they could. She has something special pretty close to Patsy Cline. (this has nothing to do with singing country)He even said that he felt Cody is struggling and he wants to see her through. Heather picked up on it right away. I have no problem if BG wants to help her privately. and he can afford it and write it off his taxes that always make him cry. But this show is suppose to be about picking the best talent not people that look like they could be BG's sister. How about BG getting her a voice coach and meet with her give her a song and a record deal. This was wrong. Heather even under the sad circumstances of knowing that BG only saw Cody Sounded much better. She had the better voice and deserved to go on.
He was looking for unique, not cookie cutter, and he got it with Cody. Plus I think they are kindred spirits. I think she's adorable! She doesn't have a perfect voice, but she has that rock edge that I like!
@@ham3749 She wasn't unique and many people that sing have that kind of raspy voice. She dressed like him, people have even called her is little sister, in appearance. Heather had a remarkable voice . He was paying more attention to Cody. Sadly Heather was noticing she was being rejected. I find that unfair, and being a professional he is not suppose to do that. Cody could sing in my opinion but not as great as Heather. By the way Heather was also nice, adorable and she sang spectacular. If he wanted to help Cody. He could of on his own time. Being a kindred spirit has nothing to do in choosing the rightful winner.

No one told me Boy George and Cyndi Lauper had a kid. She's got that "it" factor in bucketloads. I always find it amazing when someone so young is such a great performer.

Her voice is so much better when they stop playing all the extra instrumentals. You can hear her soul when she sings without all the background noise.
I agree. I hate the echo sound/ auto tune they use on her. She is amazing but all the echo does is make me want to stop listening.
@@irishmorgaine thats a HUGE problem on the voice uk. So many unnecessary clapping, cheering and the audience yelling to the coaches to turn their chairs. sometimes I can’t hear the singers at all

I almost exclusively watch auditions, they either ruin the singer or the sound after that.
I felt so much for Heather. You could see in her eyes she knew since the first note she wasn't going any further.
But she did I guess someone saved her because she was in the semi finals

Boy George is such a handsome man. I am so glad he is doing so well in life. I know his mother is proud and she never gave up on him.
This may be my favorite version of Mad World. She's usually so raw, but then she hit those haunting high notes at the end and it was like aural gold.
Freaking amazing voice!
I hope she and Boy George continue their journey beyond this show, she's definitely his spiritual daughter, they complete each other.

Why haven’t I heard of her until now. My god just my god. This girl is like Heroine for the ears. You hear her voice just once and you want more right away.
Cody has used a lot of autotune on her recent album. Given that Cody is always evolving as an artist, in every way, I think it will just be a phase. I look forward to hearing more of the power, beauty and heart of her raw vocals in future songs she writes.

What a rare gem Cody is. In all the years of auto tuned, boring factory churned out crap, this incredibly individual talent appears to keep our faith alive.
Brick in the wall is a definite seething rage song. It is a message..it is not a regular polished, smooth song.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Boy George took her under his wing and produced her under his label after the competition. He’s a talented artist and he knows quality talent.
She is completely incredible and I absolutely love the way she has that beautiful whine to her voice. That other girl who said she gets goosebumps is completely right.

I lost it when she sang "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac. That is one of my favorite songs of all time and I feel like she really did it justice. There was so much power and mystery in her voice it really brought it to life.

Boy George is one of a kind, probably the FIRST PERSON to be that ONE OF A KIND❤ always have been a fan. Born in 1973, boy George was one of the first brave people back in the day to " dare to be different ", she made the right choice ❤
She nailed another brick in the wall. That is such an iconic song that it is hard to make a unique version that holds up to the original but this one did.

@@kristinsrowland8313 .. it's psychological.. if they dress "different" and cut or color their hair a unique way and listen to music that "no one else listens to" ..they feel "rebellious" ..that way if nobody likes them they can say it's because they look and act different ..they have an excuse for why they're an outcast/misfit... But it's really just fear of not being accepted in the first place.. by the way a *real* rebel knows none of those things matters.. they will NEVER have to say "I'm a rebel" ..if someone uses that word to describe themselves.. they're actually NOT one
People become rebellious causse of people like u. Putting everyone in boxes. We are who we are. Thats part of our point, just acceptance without thinking about it. Why are we rebellious? Causse we all have our own reasons.

This Cody is "Tough"!! Her voice is soft and gritty and she harmonizes amazingly and brings it all together dramatically! She not only sings her songs, she literally feels it, living it. She had me weepy eyed by the end of that first song.. I LOVE IT!!

It's rather hard to believe that Cody did not take this thing in a walk. Her voice is iconic, unique, record-worthy, while Kevin Simm's voice is a dime-a-dozen pretty face.

I think the whole "picture" came together when he talked about her art and drawings. She's definitely an artist. You can tell that by her make-up, clothes and her hairstyles.

I felt so sorry for the other girl singing nothing compares to you. Everytime the other girl would sing she would see George react to her and she new she was gone with the other girls first note. Kinda sad to see that really.
Not to mention the battle was quite biased for Cody. I feel bad for the other girl, too :(
the songchoice was actually wrong for both girls, but especially for the other girl. you could see, she was not comfortable with this song and with BG obviously biased towards Frost, the outcome was already predetermined

They are both really good though. But I feel really bad about Heather :( even on in the interview thingy, she is already comparing herself to Cody - like she needs to have an impact on BG like how Cody does.

She was born in the wrong time. She has a typical 70s 80s voice freaking love it. Sooo much emotion and passion, unique style. Not the music like this days ugh..

Well she did only sing 70's and 80's songs so it was obvious she was raised up on that music. I didn't care for the Fleetwood Mac Chains song. I thought it was hard to listen. She did much better with Mad World more her style.
No. She was born in the perfect time, just when the music industry is full of no real talent. The 70s and 80s had their fair share of talent and great music... We need some new greatness these days.

I remember when Boy George was starting out. He had good music and his sense of style was unique and distinctive
Her voice has so many facets, nuances and inflections. That she arranges songs for that voice, impeccably, is unbelievable. I can think of two other artists, maybe, like her, but each has their unique sound and story. Gods, but the Blind Audition, well, she was channelling Sinead, if not "possessed" by her. I worry that, like me, she's her own very hardest critic. After her version of "The Chain" I am shocked that this girl was not able to win - you won't hear anyone like her.

Oh wow! Glad this came on my recommended feed. I feel so much for the younger people who go on the show. That's so much stress and so much to do all at once for someone barely out of secondary school. I'm proud of her, and I hope she keeps pursuing her passions, no matter where they lie. She's so bright, and with determination, she'll forge her own way.
I really liked their voice together. Heather's is really soft and pretty, and Cody's is raw and raspy.
The music industry needs another Boy George, and Cody is it. The Voice and Boy George brought us the next generation of unique talent. Cody.
