I'd think it's because in older editions, MH couldn't be used on magic items (unlike in 5E), but since Mike hasn't played 3E, I suspect it's something else...

You provide excellent entertainment…period. This series included, I love the interaction though process on how you are trying to solve the vault event! PLEASE continue this entertainment!!! Poor Scott never gets the beat the shit out of things enough, but his commentary is always on point. His camera looks are hilarious because he's like playing the game and a spectator all at once.

The GM is having to pull out every trick in the book to blow their heist.
If he really wanted to blow it he would've put more stone on the other side of that lead :) Make Jerry blow both spell slots stone shaping so when the dwarves march in he can't clean up in time.

If he is bored he's likely not made his Fighter to have contributions in the most common adventuring encounters: Combat-Interaction-Exploration. He is very good about not doing much in this session. Respect.
Yeah, his character seems to be rather boring to play... Or he is not motivated to do stuff other than hit things with big weapons.
I think this is the first fighter he ever made, it's an easier class to play than most. So yeah unless you're new or just prefer fighters it is definitely kind of boring... when there's no like fighting and stuff going on.

I don't know how it took them so long to get this together but this is great. I feel for Perkins though, they're undermining a lot of what his narrative was. The constant battle between DM and player is reaching fever pitch here.
No plan survives contact with the players.

If you read Chris's articles on how he runs his games you'll see that he's perfectly fine with letting the players ruin everything. True, every DM wants their planned schemes to work, but Chris is willing to let them go if it means more fun for the players ;)

Boy do these episodes go by in an instant. There's very few pieces of entertainment that do that for me, but AI's ~thirty minutes absolutely vanishes.

I'm also rather fond of cairn, cask, and bar/pub of dwarves, though I think stout is kinda funny and fortress deserves a mention just for the (hopefully) obvious reference.

By this point, my party would have tripped all of the alarms and would have been fighting all of the dwarves.
Rothfuss has all kinds of ideas and perspectives, really powerthinking through this (and yet rolling poorly everywhere)

But... wait.
Chris said the walls were made of stone, with lead lining in the middle. So Omen stone shaped the stone on their side of the wall, and Binwin chiseled through the lead... but shouldn't they have just hit the stone on the other side of the wall? They should not have been able to make a peephole into the next vault, yet - that vault should have a stone wall of it's own.
Omin used shape stone twice, am I right?
maybe the finish that made the wall impenetrable, only applies to one side ( in this case the one facing out) so when bimwin breaks through the lead, he also breaks through the wall, and it was just a given that the wall broke.
He turned the stone on one side into spikes that Binwin used to punch through the lead and other stone. It is like the whole diamonds can cut other diamonds kinda thing.
You might want to get more people to shout you out because i heard of this series a month ago offhandedly but never got a link or even a channel name and now I've found this channel randomly. I've watched every thing on ACQ Inc. and would love to see it pick up to maybe even a session every week?

I have been looking for a D&D game for the past 15 years, played online, over skype ect. But this is my dream, to be able to play at a table with pen and paper and a few friends.
Wish I had friends who were interested in playing. I just get a strange look if I mention it, like I am asking them for money or something.

8:39 The should have really mentioned that Silence requires concentration in case O. Dran does anything else requiring concentration.
Though the Silence will nullify the noise of Binwin's pickaxe on this side of the wall, it will not grant him any benefit one he is in the room since there is not mention of it working through the thick stone wall like spells like Detect Magic/etc. I guess you could make concessions for the whole in the wall but the Silence spell is not a gas.

15:00 Mage hand has a max 10 lbs weight limit. Chris described the rod as " ... its an iron rod about 15 inches in length with ... edges" (7:21). Cast iron weighs about 0.26 per inch so its gonna be close at 3.9 kg/8.58 lbs.
17:09 "You hear a knock on the door". How?? Silence spell is 20ft area likely centered on the hole in the wall or the room itself, and the room is 10ft x 10ft ? This is why it is important to read out the spell as its cast. Yeah, they know you are coming back but don't know when
Erik AC I know it's two months late, but come on man. The best dungeon masters are the ones that bend the rules a little to let the story play out. These guys don't seem like the kind that mind a bit of leeway when it comes to spell effects during out of combat encounters. And I'd bet that you've been or had a dm who let those kinds of things slide before and you've still had one heck of a time. Cut 'em a bit of slack ;)
The GM is Chris Perkins, not Joe Average if anyone should be on top of it.
