Very very misleading title, three incomes streams with a mortgage, I think most people understand that 'buying a house' and 'buying a house with a mortage' are two different things.
I am 22 years old, lost my dad about half a year ago and I am going to receive some money soon. Would it be smart to grow my money in stocks for a few years while I am in college and then invest in rental properties afterwards, or should I go for real estate investing first?

This is actually bs. The title is extremely misleading. She didn’t buy jack by herself. She bought a house with 2 other people. I stopped watching the moment she revealed that it’s a group buy.
Spend your money wisely-invest in quality where it counts, for it often outlasts the cost of cheapness. Yet, remember that sometimes the simplest, least expensive option is the real gem in disguise.
I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Stephanie Janis Stiefel. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.

The only way this would make sense if the house was huge like 5-6 bedrooms 5 bath than there would be enough space for her or a guest house (those properties with a front and back house)

They only put 77K down so monthly payment is probably really high?
@@krnphanat the moment there’s high interest rate but we’re waiting to refinance which would bring monthly payment down. Could always refinance but not argue with the actual value of the house. I made a video on my channel explaining the full thought process
Assuming they put down 20 percent total this still leaves $600,000 that has to be paid off over 30 years the principal is already $1666 a month not factoring in interest. As krphan mention they put down only like 10 percent down payment but the principal shouldn't only still be around $1869/month (not incl interest)

It's not a bad thing 3 people went in to buy the house to build a real estate empire, that's a common story. What's not ok is presenting it as this woman did it all by herself at first without making that upfront she did it with family. Poor job, do better.
CNBC you know better than to be misleading. She did not buy a home at 23 on her own. She bought a share in a property alongside her brother and his wife. So misleading and annoying.
Smart move. Owning a home (with land) will appreciate much more than an apartment. You'll thank me for not having to pay those expensive strata fees and special levies. For example, expensive fees to pay for the doorman, lifts and pools will not result in capital appreciation. I just came back from visiting Seoul. That's a tough place to grow up. Very expensive relative to low incomes. Thank your parents for getting out of there.
