Just days after Gov. Kathy Hochul announced plans to redesign Penn Station, a private development firm claims it would get the job done cheaper and faster.
Penn Station is a rathole and the Moynihan Train Hall, while nice, creates nearly as much confusion as the problems it solves (as it's now two stations over one set of platforms, and further away from some of the subway lines). I think the current Penn Station and MSG should be completely demolished and something like the old Penn Station put in its place.
Great, it’s not final!!! Move MSG across the street, or move MSG to PORT AUTHORITY where 2 MSG’s can be built… with subway already intact, move MSG to another borough like Staten Island, or move MSG to the Meadowlands!!!
Move MSG to the Bronx!!!!!! Let all those Rangers fans from New Jersey take the George Washington bridge to get there, and all those suburban Long Islanders use the Subway to go to the venues. The Bronx NEEDS MSG, maybe build it next to Yankee Stadium?
@@user-ne3yw2cu6c That’s what I thought at some point, moving MSG next door to Yankee Stadium. But would the Yankees clubhouse sell that piece of land to MSG, which the Yankees now use to hold a park for kids and anybody to play baseball
its just a band-aid solution, still a waste of money when you could just build a much better station with MSG being moved somewhere else so that that space can be dedicated to the station, far more important@@artistmi5361
@@durece100 YES! That's what most people want! Wake up! Traditional pre war architecture is making a come back and there's nothing you can do about it! It looks a million times better than anything modern and YOU KNOW IT!!!
Rebuild the original Penn Station!!!!!
Which one?
@@durece1001910-1963 one, originally built by the PRR

Surely they not going to approve that, commission is not great.
I much prefer this design to the MTA's

The Migrants at the Stewart Hotel are going to love it Eric 😂
lol its looks awful
It’s better than what they’re purposing now. This design looks closer to the original Penn Station
Reminds me of a Cake I ate at a wedding.

Aren’t they done yet? I was there last week and it’s looking better already.
It is being done in phases. Moynihan train hall and the LIRR hub are complete. This is for the NJ transit, Subway, metro north sections.
Ewww just rebuild the original!!!
No.

@@MrDude826and how do you propose we do that? The original architectures are probably dead by now
@@subzerofromny735 We got a joker here eh?
The plans are archived moron.
@@subzerofromny735The original plan is still in the books and in PDF.
