I’ve lived in Manhattan over 22 years. Look at the renditions of future buildings and plazas them check it out once in use: full of homeless, junkies and tacky, overweight tourists. Don’t let the fancy pictures fool you. Walked along 34th street after leaving Macy’s (a jam packed tourist factory) and immediately hit with several meth/crack junky zombies crawling around the sidewalk. A freak show.

Just all for the rich and very expensive middle class the poor can not even enjoy pretty sure the food would be expensive to eat there and rent very high of course they don’t think or care about us who won’t able to rent there. Yeah we didn’t like u said all for the rich people. It will be nice just to look at . The same goes for Hudson Yard extremely expensive. They should make it affordable for very human beings.

Unfortunately it should never be this way especially that it is public area top of that a place where people can rent and live notice that they making these beautiful building every where now which they say it’s affordable housing and it’s not. Most are living pay check by pay check . We should be able to enjoy what they bring out there this is why there is so anger. There are people who are working and are homeless due to the high rent and cost of living.

If they are serving luxury you're going to have to pay luxury prices. Also, these venues always have more standard options in the food areas like Shake Shack, etc. Of course the nice rooftop bars and stuff you'd have to pay more. If you don't like it, there is an entire city in front of you that has many great restaurants with affordable prices.

Now all they need to do is get rid of the city council and NY Legislature to get this place going. If not, this is pouring money into a rat hole with the crime and trash that roam those streets. These Vornado people must live in a bubble, they actually do not have to walk the streets everyday to see the junkies and criminals overtaking our once great city.

I went to school in this area. All I can think of is a long escalator leading to Penn station and arcade games. And a restaurant across the street. It was ok. But it did not really feel like a business and commuter district.

What a shame they're demolishing the beautiful historic Hotel Pennsylvania. You'd think New York would have learned their lesson about tearing down historic art deco architecture to be replaced by ugly modern BS that is defacing NYC's skyline. Shame on you, Vornado

We need to tear down the Madison Square Garden and Associated Buildings and rebuild the original Penn Station. Penn Station will not be great again until we build a replica of the original and restore the area to its former glory.

Ugly just got uglier. I have seen in person what they did already. The Pennsylvania Hotel, despite its Orwellian named “landmark protection” was demolished.
And the office tower standing where the monumental entrance to the original Penn Station was (facing 7th Ave) has been radically expanded, making it impossible to even consider rebuilding anything resembling the original station.
And worse, they actually expanded the ugly, windowless underground Penn Station built in the 1960s to extend underneath the post office building, across 8th Ave. ANOTHER multi-$billion disaster.
