These look so yummy and easy! I can't wait to try them! I think a Mexican tortilla press would make flattening the paratha even easier, but of course that would be cross-cultural. Don't know how you feel about that. :-) I can't believe the comments complaining about using your hand to mix the ingredients. Come on, people, you need to use your hand to mix almost any kind of dough; you have to feel the texture to assess when it's ready. Grow up!
MegaSeeker , people have to remember that even in the Western culture many years ago there were no bread machines. Mothers would mix the dough with their hands. 🙏
hey,, I tried this instantly,,, and its soooooooooooooooooooo good ,,, both taste and texture.... And I love the way you remove the stone from the second half of the fruit. Thanks ladies.
Never thought avocado and parathas before! Thanks to share this, I will definitely give it a try. I like the way you two together explain steps, ingredients, and other tips in all your videos.
Why are so many people complaining. Keep up the good works ladies i love the talking and love watching all the steps and also love how you cook from the heart!!
Thank you for this amazing recipe and great presentation. I tried these out today and everyone including my 18 months old loved it. You definitely don't need any side dish for these parathas. Thanks again!
I just bought two avocados today, wondering what I would try next, since I love them so much and always want to experiment. Then I come across this video. :D These look simply amazing and my mouth is watering. Now the most painful part - waiting for my avocados to ripen!!! *subscribed* :)
I made the avacado paratha, together with your roast aubergine recipe ........ Absolutly devine, where have you ladies been all my life :-) Thank you for this wonderful recipe, I'll make it for my Mum she will love it
Sorry, you did not like it. We absolutely loved it and hence we shared it with our viewers but as we always say - every recipe is not for everyone! Thanks for your feedback and hopefully, you will love the next one :)
What we are using is called a 'Tawa' but honestly, any non-stick, heavy-bottomed, flat pan will do. Tawas are available at some of the larger Indian/South Asian grocery stores. Hope that helps!
Wow!! I just can't wait to try this recipe.. Thank u so much for the recipe..i just hope now that my son would start having avocados as he doesn't like them much..fingers crossed!!
+Esha Hans : Don't call them Avocado Parathas, call them green paranthas ;) We have all 'twisted the truth' just a bit to our kids at some point or the other ;)
Hi guys....i hv tried most of ur recipes n it has turned out really yummy thank u...n today i tried avocado paratha n it turned out really bitter i dnt no whr i went wrong bt i hv followed ur instructions carefully..pls reply..
Those look phenomenal! I made rotlis tonight using another video of yours and they were superb. I guess I know what I'm using my avocados for tomorrow :)
Ladies.. I'm a recent "fan" .. without a lot of experience with Indian food, but your recipes look amazing. Could you tell me the kind of pan you use when cooking your parathas?
Here's a trick - put the avocados in a brown paper bag and store it in the pantry - if you want it to ripen quicker - place a banana along with the avocado...
This is one of the finest recipe came across recently, I will just replace with gluten free atta. It will be the healthiest paratha with mono unsaturated fat. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the reply! I love y'all recipes! The Tawa is concave tho.. does that have any affect on the paratha? It looks like it might make it easier...?
Great, I actually added double the amount of mashed potatoes followed by spices and filled the batter inside dough balls and rolled them as normal aloo parantha. Avacado has a mild distinctive flavor, really nice + healthy as well :)
paratha flour or chappati flour is just wheat flour, most of us used medium wheat flour but you can use white or brown even whole grain but remember the more the grains are in the tougher the dough is.
I am definitely going to do this. However, I am a single person and don't want to waste food. So other than halving the ingredients is it best to freeze some of the dough for later or cook them first then store them in the fridge? Also can i use wholemeal flour instead od the chipati flour?, or even spelt?Great video and thankx
We would definitely recommend cooking first, then refrigerating or freezing for longer storage. Chapati flour is whole wheat flour. We have not tried spelt.
Thanks a lot for sharing the healthy recipe....i tried immediately after watching the video...it came out excellent. kids liked them too....easy to make and healthy to eat.... wish you all the luck...keep posting.
My 3 year old has been asking me to make avocado parathas for weeks and now i can! (my kids ask me to make a lot of random stuff, she also asked for me to make her bao(steamed buns) with bacon inside.)
Hey great idea just made a paratha stuffed with paneer couldn't find a better way to feed avacado to my son Only thing that concerns me is does cooking avacado destroys all nutrients?

Sounds great! How did they turn out?
Why are so many people complaining. Keep up the good works ladies i love the talking and love watching all the steps and also love how you cook from the heart!!
It is whole wheat flour. Chapati flour is ground a bit finer that whole wheat flour but will work just as well. It will definitely be healthier :)
Thank you for this amazing recipe and great presentation. I tried these out today and everyone including my 18 months old loved it. You definitely don't need any side dish for these parathas. Thanks again!
Yes, it is perfect! Atta and Chapati Flour s the same thing :)
One of our other viewers tried that and it worked :)
Happy Cooking!
There are layered parathas as well. The process of using oil for cooking defines it as a paratha and not a chapati :)
Hi, I tried this recipe and absolutely loved it. Its really easy to make. Also I kept it for my hubby's Lunch Box and it remained soft throughout.
I made this recipe yesterday and OMG it is out of this world good as so easy. I did freeze half of the dough for later
I just bought two avocados today, wondering what I would try next, since I love them so much and always want to experiment. Then I come across this video. :D

What we are using is called a 'Tawa' but honestly, any non-stick, heavy-bottomed, flat pan will do. Tawas are available at some of the larger Indian/South Asian grocery stores. Hope that helps!
Excellent and good to know, it'll help our other viewers :)

Thanks a lot and really nice idea..
instead of chapati flour, what other healthier alternative flour u would suggest. tqvm. i will love to try your recipe.
Chapati flour is basically whole wheat flour and you can find it literally anywhere!
very inventive way to incorporate avocado, this can replace my tortilla i have for breakfast.
great recipe .. will try out for sure
🙏 for the video and great ideas. Would you serve it with Aloo sabzi and daal? Or just with plain yogurt?
These are flavorful enough to eat plain with yogurt or pickle or with a subzi or daal.

My 3 year old has been asking me to make avocado parathas for weeks and now i can! (my kids ask me to make a lot of random stuff, she also asked for me to make her bao(steamed buns) with bacon inside.)

Hey great idea just made a paratha stuffed with paneer couldn't find a better way to feed avacado to my son
Only thing that concerns me is does cooking avacado destroys all nutrients?
my finished recipe didn't look like yours, is there any way I could buy one from you. I just love avocados :)
awesome! keep up the good work :)
Can I use your gluten free flour instead of wheat?
Yes, you can. You many need parchment paper to roll them out (depending on your gf flour).
nice one love it!
Thanks for the excellent recipe. In fact we can make Avocado dosas by adding guacamole to regular dosa batter. Thanks again.
I love food from India.
Love it
Will any other flower do?
