i understand what you say, but it's a bad spell (and because it's a spell it may come true). i really hope you wont carve into your retirement money to help a relative. i hope you will have a lot of money and just be kind and help if you are asked for ;)
@Anlonn I know what you're saying about being taken advantage of, but the grandfather was attending the shows so he saw the fruit of his investment. That's very different from some grandkid asking for money every few weeks for some hair-brained scheme that you later find out is for drugs or gambling.
Everyone once in a while youtube throws me an absolute gem. I've never heard of Matt Rife before but I'm for sure going to remember him after this interview. Also how refreshing is it to have a great interviewer like Rosemarie Miller. She's genuinely interested and listening to what he has to say and asking relevant questions. Those are some real folks right here.
That is exactly what I came here to say. He’s got an emotional maturity rarely seen in public on this level. His willingness to be vulnerable is such a valuable trait to model to his fans 🙏❤️🌻
Kudos to interviewer, Rosemarie Miller on a wonderful job! Matt is so articulate and honest and she did an awesome job asking great questions to make the most of his honesty and candor.
Wow this guys isnt just funny but his humility is amazing, its great that he is learning under a great comic like Dave Chapelle. Hope he gets to achieve and keep success in his journey.
@@roguekgamer His ticket sales are due to large hoards of women, who casually watch comedy, enjoying his act because they can yell things like "take off your belt" and bring him cookies. He is talented for sure. No one can take that from him, but his success is largely due to the fact that he is attractive. People who are fans of comedy know there are dozens of comedians who are considered elite and don't get nearly the same attention. @@robinandersen7053 Like I said, "He is talented for sure. No one can take that from him" but your boyfriend is playing it cool. Knows you have a crush on Matt and is acting unphased so he doesn't come across as jealous. You get your little girls-night-out and everyone is happy. There are a million comedians that are way better than Matt on a technical level, but you don't care because Matt's jawline speaks for itself. Just make sure you return the favor to your boyfriend. Go take him to see a moderately talented woman with large breast somewhere or something.
"Be okay with silence". There have been many minutes in his stand up where he was speaking sincerely to his audience. You could hear a pin drop it was so dead silent. He was talking about his OG Grandfather, and also anxiety, depression, and mental wellness. He had me on the verge of tears. It was so so great. That means he hooked his audience, and the millions of people who watched and rewatched it online. He is a natural. When he does the crowd work, it's like he's talking with his very good friends. So comfortable. He has confidence, not cockiness. I love everything he's done. He has earned all of the accolades he is getting. His success just exploaded in this past year. I'm rooting for him.
Yes. I believe it was Dave Chapelle who said that. I think Matt Rife said that at the time. He mentioned that it was one of the most valuable pieces of advice he got from Dave Chapelle. Both of those comedians have achieved that in their shows. They can because they are so good. They leave you hanging on every word. It's incredible.
Great interview! He's so generous with the pearls of wisdom he's received from the giants that came before him too - very uncommon amongst young artists these days, where they like to 'protect their energy'. Wish this dude all the success in the world. He deserves it!
They complimented each other very well. So well that each one has been given their share of positive feedback in the comments. They both showed up with wanting this interview to be honest and fun. So I’ll say kudos to both of them for talking like you were 2 besties. There’s ton of gold in this interview.
This is one of the best interviews that I’ve seen with Matt, who was flawless as usual. The lady did an excellent job, asking intelligent and interesting questions, nothing about his looks or who he’s dating or anything about his private life. I saw him on GMA or some talk show a while back, and the first thing the female host said was how cute he was, Christ! We get it the guy is attractive, but he is also a brilliant comedian. How about we concentrate on his body of work not just his physical body.
Yes, I’m floored at his intelligence and humility. If I could be a fly on the wall when he converses with Chapelle. I’m sure that would be a box office show. He will probably end up doing more than comedy and acting.
I love these kind of interviews. We see how mature and Matt's genuine character. He is so much more than a comedian and a pretty boy. He is defying the stereotypes he gets.
Matt Rife, I'm at the point in the interview where you admit what many can't. To be humble and understand that competition only exists when ego is taking a hit. So key to success. It's a lesson that goes far beyond the performing arts. It's life in general. I loved this interview.
I'm in love with his brain, and the way he communicates. I wish him success and especially, happiness ❤ EDIT: Congrats to the lady for such an amazing interview.
This is what an interview should be. Real, authentic to the core! Like a talk between friends.! Hands dowwn! Also, keeep up the work you are doing with your passion , Matt!! You got thiss mate!!!

She asked some brilliant questions and he answered so thoughtfully and eloquently. Great to see he is so grateful for his success and able to be so self aware and willing to grow. I think he’s funny AF but to see his dedication and emotional intelligence is inspiring. ❤
Matt is so humble. What a great guy to emulate and look up to. This guy is going places and I hope he retains this humility as he will undoubtedly progresses to new highs.
My heart is really full after seeing this interview. They both did an amazing job, i can feel true kindness and warmth coming from both of them. Very inspiring!!!!
Matt, if you have love and respect for the military, PLEASE, join a USO tour. I cannot explain how much joy you could bring to the troops just by giving them an excellent comedy show.
What a great interviewer and Matt is so humble and cognizant of what’s important. I tried to get tickets but the show sold out so fast I missed the opportunity.
And this is why I’m in love with Matt he deserves all the success and so much more ❤ I can’t wait for the Netflix special to come out!!!! So happy for you Matt!!! ❤
