    Thanks for the content-- what a simple, transformative mod! I am amused that I have done engine mount mods on every performance FWD car I have had since 1984 lol, some things never change I guess........!! In this case, no discernable change in idle vibration, more positive shifts, with mostly clean wheelspin, and if any...only very subtle, more controlled wheel hop...... It is so simple, it is hard to believe they didn't just do a slightly firmer mount from the factory.....

    So strange to me that all it took to help mitigate wheel hop was slightly altering those bushings, and they didn't. Especially when they spent a ton of money on other performance aspects. This would have cost them basically nothing but woulda made a huge difference. Maybe they didn't use the polyurethane because they're not as durable or reliable as the stock ones? I really don't know

      You can’t switch those out at will, or have the car to do it. It’s supposed to be a daily driver, and the driver can change and add at will.

    • @Daveyboy_RS3
      @Daveyboy_RS3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ENtense yeah but I figured there must have been a compromise. Some kind of material that doesn't cause as much nvh as the polyurethane but allows for less wheel hop. Because the factory wheel hop is so bad it sounds like the car is breaking apart. I know it's FWD problem in general with higher power but seems even worse in the EN. Maybe I'm wrong though

    • @Daveyboy_RS3
      @Daveyboy_RS3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HD_Kerino yes it's supposed to be a daily driver, but it's also meant to be a budget high performance sports car (track car). All I know is in my buddies N, as amazing as it is, I've never felt wheel hop on hard acceleration like that in any other higher horsepower FWD car. It literally felt like the car was smashing to pieces BANG BANG BANG.... So I just assumed since bierman took so much care in perfecting so many other performance aspects of this car, that he might have used some other type of material or bushing that would at least reduce that extreme level of Wheelhop. I'm sure they acknowledged the problem and used what gave them the best results for both the comforts of daily driving and track use.. but still, it's so bad.
      I'm not talking about a sonata or Kona N line (as I wouldn't expect those to have come from the factory with anything to mitigate whatever we'll help they have, as those are slightly more luxurious daily drivers that can also be also sporty and fun to drive.
      I'm strictly speaking about the true dedicated N cars. And the fact that everything else on them is so perfectly dialed in makes me scratch my head when I picture the engineers doing 0-60 tests, feeling that BANG BANG BANG, and not figuring out a way to at least reduce it. I know you can't completely get rid of it without getting tons of NVH, but I assumed there had to be a middle ground. Some other shape or material that could have been used. Something added or taken away? Maybe there really isn't anything that can give you the best of both worlds. I'm no engineer.
      Even on GTIs, Si's, Focus ST's, Speed 3's, GTI's, Cobalt SS etc, they didn't come close to performing as well as the EN, and yes they all had a torque steer (especially the ms3) and some wheel hop... But the wheel hop on this EN is legendary.
      And the fact that the EN spared very little expense in turning this Elantra into a daily that can be brought to the track right out of the box is something that the other cars I mentioned cannot claim.
      The EN does seem like the power is underrated and from what I understand it's putting down more like around 280 HP to the wheels which is a heck of a lot more than the others, so that could definitely be a major factor in the added wheel hop

    • @HD_Kerino
      @HD_Kerino 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Daveyboy_RS3 well it’s a track car, wouldn’t be dragging a track car. But I’ve been in an N with more than 350 HP and hop isn’t there, my girlfriend has a Forte GT that doesn’t wheel hop. My old Optima SXL with over 300 HP didn’t wheel hop, etc. I’m not really sure why the N’s have the issue, but I wouldn’t be dragging the thing, just like I don’t with my Stinger.

      I totally understand your concern, and at the same time the warranty is very important to me as well with this being my daily driver. With this product, the odds of it causing any issues would be astronomically rare, and at the same time it could easily be put back to stock. Also consider how unlikely it would be to notice these on your car 👍🏻

      Maximus I agree I ended up going with a Fusion Sport I have videos on this account if you want to check it out, it's tuned on e30 now just got new wheels and 255/45/18s and about to install the CPE rear motor mount. Shooting for a 12.4 at 112 best time so far is 12.61 at 111.59 with a crappy 2.02 60ft with the stock 235/40/19s. The EcoBoosts are underated platforms with just a tune you can gain tons of power and the intelligent AWD hooks, I also love the enhanced suspension damping when you turn on Sport mode makes it handle great for what it is. I believe the Fusion Sport is the best Bang for the Buck all around car for under $25k. Only other car that really compares for the price in almost all aspects is the Audi A3 but it needs at least a tune to even be fun

      I drove a few Edge STs. They're really not that great. Transmission sucks, they don't handle well or feel very sporty or enthusiastic while driving. Even with a basic tune they're still slower than the Elantra N or Kona Ns. They are bigger and have a little more space, but that's all I'll give them other than that the seats are nice.

      People have gotten well under 5s with these, times in reality that are up there with the absolute fastest FWD production cars on the market. It's a ~300hp car that costs less than 34k, there really isn't ANYTHING faster 0-60 or 1/4 mile you can buy for the same price aside from the EB Mustangs, and these aren't drag cars, they're more designed for cornering / track use.
