Looks like a blast. Could be fun if your boss gave you specific tasks/missions/goals like “we are hosting a kids night” where you have to only give flyers to specific types of characters. Thanks for the great videos!

I can relate with your addiction to game jams so much right now, in the past I've worked on huge code projects but I never can find the motivation to stick with them for a long time. Lately I started doing hackathons and I've become absolutely hooked lol. We need to form some sort of rehab group

This game looks super, but one thing that stood out is (at least that's how it looks) the scales of the pixels ingame compared to the pixels on the mouse cursor.

i absolutely love the player character! the design is really cute and simple, and the animations are really nice. i especially love the skates - it's such a good visual, just having this kid skate around the city throwing paper airplanes at people.

also me: oh, there is a bug on 14:25 - one flyer thrown, two customers got flyer = quota rose by two. You can never stop your habits (and i am a tester by profession).

Just an idea for anyone who reads this, when talking about possibly adding an indicator that points toward the closest table; A good approach might be to design an indicator that will be a desired distance away from the player in the direction of a table object (essentially preparing to make a ring of indicators) and setup 3 different indicator sizes, or possibly even icons. Then, run through the array of tables and put the 3 closest tables, in order, in to a temporary array and show those 3 (at least 2). Showing the closest one would still make the player feel obligated to stick around the only one they can see. If they can tell they are close to others, they might feel more encourage to explore that way and form a mental map.

i feel like this could be used to make a really cool game with a political vibe a-la papers please. like, youre running around giving out pamphlets for a revolution or something, you cant let the cops catch you but you need to get as many of the people aware of your cause as possible in 50 days for a general strike to be successful or something, otherwise you dont have enough protesters and get crushed by the state. you could have some fun character interactions with npc's both while doing the main gameplay loop and during a downtime section where your character gets lunch in town square before getting the bus home.

A simple fix for the not knowing about the other flyer stands could be to have the player say "I'm out... I think there are more flyer stands around the town."

This video, though, I use GDevelop 5, helped me make the top down shooter mechanics that I needed, I was having trouble with the arm, and this video, without even saying how it’s done, helped me somehow
