Just a thought, sir, ...could you place the spindle body sideways in the vise (vise a little slack, of course) with the collar of the spindle body against the side of the vise and drive the spindle out sideways similar to the way you did it vertically to get it started? It might keep you from getting "tennis elbow" in the long run from holding it up in the air with your hand and arm while tapping on it. Thanks for taking the time to make this series. I may never work on one of these, however, there are principles you have demonstrated here which can easily have universal applications. This is the type of thing for which I watch your, Donyboy73's, Bruce Pender's, Doublewide6's, Mowermedic1's, and a select few other's videos. P.S. I also have a list of channels I watch simply to learn what not to do! I am sure you know what I mean.
What ever way is most comfortable with the end user who follows the video. Everyone has a different style. I just try to make sure the process is there and leave the way someone gets the job done to them. Zip~
I got a question. can you buy un sealed bearings for these. I remember watching a tayrl video him doing it but it was for a John deere? idk thanks zippy this is what I'll be doing next week. -Tim
You can pop out the inner seal easily enough, then pack them with grease and if you're feeling real froggy, you can install grease zerks if your spindles don't already have them. Zip~
Thanks! My drawing and I did half of it my self. What I couldn't see/reach, my buddy Dino finished up. This was YEARS Before OCC designed their motorcycle inspired logo which looks a lot like my tat. I still get tired of telling people it's a 20 year old tattoo...way before OCC!! lol Damn those Tutle boys! hehe Cheers Shane! Zip~
I've heard a couple people suggest this modification, and with these cheap communist china bearings, it's a sound idea to help prolong their life. Thanks for the input Ted! Cheers!! Zip~
Randy had a good idea to remove the inner facing seals on these newer and cheaper communist bearings to help them to last longer. I may have to give that a try. Cheers Sam! Zip~

very nice job.
Cool
I pull the seals on the inside of the new bearings then they last forever as long as you keep the grease to them
