i say this out of care for u from a fellow girl: i am so extremely thankful that that guy was not there when u came back. a man who can talk like that to a woman does not see women as autonomous complex beings worthy of equal treatment. bold choices should be made for yourself, but that bold choice ultimately only rewards the misogynist
I was just gonna comment something like this! Taking risks and chances in life is good, but not if you know they will harm you! If he made her uncomfortable the second they spoke, he's probably not someone you want to take that risk for
Your England vlogs really make me want to book a oneway ticket to London with a suitcase full of British literature and just live there forever drinking gallons of black tea everyday 😅😊
Watching your vlogs makes me think I should enjoy living in England and London more instead of being desperate to go on holiday hahaha! I miss Edinburgh so much and your vlog really brought me back to visiting it, I fell in love with the city and hope to return soon! Thank you for transporting me there in the mean time whilst uni and placement take up all of my time lol 🫶🏻🫶🏻
@@SmallT0wnGh0st19 that's the spirit ❤I think like you . I also face negative words by people everyday trying to convince me "I should realize life is hard" "I should fit in the hustle culture" . But I oppose everyone out there and I really live the life alone the way I want🥰
@@SmallT0wnGh0st19it seems that OP was directly referring to the “Sailor” who made her uncomfortable. OP is cautioning Romney to avoid those types of people because not all of them have good intentions (unlike in romance novels where chance encounters are usually a good thing for the character, which aligns with how Romney mentioned she wanted to do something unexpected). There is a difference between offering advice for concern over someone’s safety vs being negative. In this case I think we are all concerned for solo female travellers, like OP. Unfortunately Europe can be a dangerous place for young solo females, and it’s a place where trafficking is prominent. Next time you read something that upsets you, put aside your personal feelings and try to understand the message being relayed and the context in which it’s given. I assure you that reflecting on such information will provide you with further insight rather than feed your emotions to comment so ignorantly.
0:14 i love this shot! the design on the wallpaper and the patterns on the sweaters as well as how you framed it with the purse and mirror being the focal point~!
When I go visit cities I always get that sense of 'I need to take advantage of my time' and I plan lots of things to see, then I think 'no, I should take it easy, take in the moment, relax'. As you can imagine, my brain remains in excited mode on, I can't get any sleep at night so I'm a sort of zombie state, I can't shake that anticipation and anxiety. What a mess. I never seem to be able to relax. Just be. Expecially when I visited London... those feelings together with jetlag were lethal xD
Great that you loved Armstrong's for vintage clothes. There are actually four Armstrong's within a few minutes walk from each other - all are fantastic, a real experience...excellently curated by people who care. I believe the biggest is in the Grassmarket, which is just a mintue's walk from the one on Victoria Street. Great that you loved Bath and Edinburgh, both of which are sensational (I've visited Bath several times, lived in and now visit Edinburgh annually). Both offer much more than you experienced, particularly Edinburgh, so hopefully you will return. As for that chap on the canal - you likely felt flattered by the attention. It happens to us all. BTW, in your Bath video I loved your closing explanation re: education and learning. I too feel I missed out by not getting a fuller education. But like you I never enjoyed school - I wanted to learn in a hands-on manner. And that is what I have done...and continue to do. Experience - particularly via travel and exploring places - is the most enlightening education one can have. Based on what I have seen in just two videos I would say that you are much more intelligent than any book could teach you to be. I look forward to watching more of your travels. You have made my day. Thank you.
I really love your video style!😍 Now I'm also in Scotland (Glasgow) and this country really feels like home for me🥰 Thank you so much for such a beautiful video! I want to visit Edinburgh in October, so I want to ask you about your favorite places in this city. And can you tell me please, in what bookstores have you been?
2 years ago I bought a leather midi skirt and a bag from that shop. It was such a great time. Elvis was singing VIVA LOS VEGAS VIVA LOS VEGAS it was like stepping in the different era
So strange seeing your videos, then seeing you visited close to me in Preston. Haworth is gorgeous, and Edinburgh is one of my favourite places ever. So jealous. Have a wonderful time :)
hi romney, just thought i'd let you know that the best castle in the U.K. is by far Arundel Castle, Sussex! It is the most romantic fairytale castle and is still owned by one of the most prestigious dukes in the country. please make sure to check it out even if you just look at up! :)
It is amazing. But there is also SO much more than what this and other videos reveal. I love the residential areas including the New Town, Stockbridge, Bruntsfield, Morningside, the Grange....streets lined with fabulous homes. And there is the stretch along the waterfront on the Firth of Forth including Newhaven, Leith and the beaches at Portobello and Cramond. You must visit.
Just for everyone here: Perth and Edinburgh are NOT IN England. They are in Scotland. Scotland is a different country but we are part of the United Kingdom just like England is part of the United Kingdom. Thank you x
Maybe rebranding the videos as vlogs would be a good idea, I was expecting more cozy bookstores, vintage shops, and castles than just a few second long shots 😅
hiii i love your videos, i mean this nicely i promise, it’s “edin-bruh” not “borough”, i know its nothing but it really annoys us Scots and UK people when americans say that haha, love this video and so glad you enjoyed your UK trip 🤍
nice vlog, just my opinion about the feelings you mentioned about feeling what your ancestors felt, well we do actually carry all traumas down through our DNA thus why you felt that deep connection of fear and all the things, you can work onreleasing that trauma to literailly reconstructing you DNA to no longer pass this on to your babies and their babies
We do not "actually carry all traumas down through our DNA". That has not been scientifically proven:"Studies in humans have not yet demonstrated that the effects of trauma are heritable through non‐genomic (i.e., epigenetic) mechanisms " (Source: "Intergenerational transmission of trauma effects: putative role of epigenetic mechanisms" in World Psychiatry. 2018 Oct; 17(3): 243-257)

there is something so beautifully whimsical and romantic about the couples walking on the path behind you, steps synchronized, as you read poetry
what a beautiful thing to notice! thank you for pointing that out ❤️
Your England vlogs really make me want to book a oneway ticket to London with a suitcase full of British literature and just live there forever drinking gallons of black tea everyday 😅😊
ahhhaa im ready to move 😭🍂☕️
I agree
honestly same LMAO
Edinburgh is in Scotland the country of Scotland not the country of England. both Scotland and England are part of the United Kingdom.
Thank you for letting me see the city through someone else's eyes. I forget how beautiful it is and take it for granted sometimes.

i feel so happy knowing i study in Edinburgh so i get to appreciate it's beauty every day :)

You do not find " romance " with a man who tells you "horrible things" as his introduction.

i’ve been LOVING your travel videos
thank you! ☺️
The courage you have to go out and experience these amazing moments by yourself encourages me to do the same! Such a lovely video!
Such an insight about how everyone chooses and climbs different picks. It is just like life.

I also like going to the cemetery. I walk my dog there nearly everyday. So many lives lived and history that happened in their time.

Not sure if you’re still here or have the time but I think you would adore the city of York in Yorkshire very similar vibes to old town Edinburgh!😊
I live in Aberdeen and was in Edinburgh last Friday and Saturday, so your video appeared in my recommendations. I'm definitely subscribing!

oh my gosh do not go back to find a guy that talks like that!! Especially when you're travelling alone. I can't believe you actually did, I am shaken.

Trauma can be transmitted but the role of epigenetics, including effect on DNA, has not conclusively been determined by scientific research
It’s pronounced Ed-in-bruh (not edinburo)
No, I didn’t see anything of Edinburgh, other than your hotel
Girl I love you but please learn how to pronounce the names of places properly - hearing you say Haworth & Edinburgh wrong made me cringe so bad
That was so romantic omg!! What types of things was he saying? It couldn't have been so bad since you went back?
