Does the tofu 65 2.0 come with the foam without having to pay extra? Also put of all the plate options what would you recommend for more of a clacky sound?
The $159 is misleading on both your part and KBDfans part, since the $19.99 plate is required to add to your cart and not part of that $159. So really it is $180 which is the assembled cost minus the assembly fee
I've been asking around and still unclear but does this in hhkb layout support a 6.25u spacebar or just a 7u? Because a keycap set im looking at only has a 6.25u bar
I am so suprized they didn't go gummy oring, I could have been so easy for them (may they did this, and it did not sound as good, as we have seen from cheaper gummy o-ring boards).
did you try flashing with qmk? i tried multiple times using the dz og60 file & it keeps downloading as a UF2 file and not a hex or bin and thats not allowing me to get the file into qmk toolbox...
Does pre order cost more than in stock on kbd fans? cuz if so I rather wait for in-stock too I just don’t want the risk of a black one to be sold out quick
I have the original tofu 65 and never got the foam kit (which isn't available for purchase anymore). Does the foam kit of the 2.0 fit on the original tofu 65? Thank you
Im not entirely sure, the internals are different as well so for the case foam i doubt it will fit but for plate foam and pe foam i think it should fit
wk is window key so it come with one, wkl is window keyless so no window key hhkb stands for happy hacking keyboard which is a completely different layout so search it up
@@Yo_keebs i meannnnnnnn, thats without the plate and without shipping idk, everyone just labeling everything as budget when in reality its just another 200+ keyboard but hey i aint hating its pretty cool that prices nowadays are this low for how much contents u get
I was thinking about buying the bakeneko60 until I saw this video, this keyboard is on another level
thank you for sharing. cant wait to get mine.
@Yo_keebs Yoooo-where did you get the big G mouse?!? Siiiiiick
Custom painted it at RFPaintworkz

I know that this comment is 10 months old but i got the foam and stuff without having to buy it separately, hope this helps!
love the new video style! keep it up man! 🔥
Thanks man! Really appreciate it
This board has a lot of potential. I'd love to see how swapping to a thicker pcb w/o flex cuts would affect the sound as well
True would love to see that too but sadly it is a proprietary pcb
@@Yo_keebs ooo I totally missed that. Oof 😭
can you get a thicker pcb for this board that would be non flex cut?
How do people know how to assemble keyboard without manuals? I'm a newb
What is the color of the case?

I wasnt actually aware that the plates were separate from the kit as i got it in during the prototype stages. Sorry about that
I've been asking around and still unclear but does this in hhkb layout support a 6.25u spacebar or just a 7u? Because a keycap set im looking at only has a 6.25u bar
If you took HHKB case, the spacebar will be a 7u even tho the pcb supports 6.25. The case makes it a forced 7u
I am so suprized they didn't go gummy oring, I could have been so easy for them (may they did this, and it did not sound as good, as we have seen from cheaper gummy o-ring boards).
U might be able to do gummy oring on this board if u mod it and u get a plate for the og tofu, idk
@@crxhol1936 I feel like you could too. If someone can figure out how to oring mount it, ima have to buy it
Which plate material did you choose for your keyboard?
I ended up still using the alu plate. The FR4 plate also sounded really nice
is ur mouse the lamzu atlantis ?
did you try flashing with qmk? i tried multiple times using the dz og60 file & it keeps downloading as a UF2 file and not a hex or bin and thats not allowing me to get the file into qmk toolbox...
The pcb is already directly connected to VIA so im not sure on why you need qmk anymore. Plus its a different pcb to the og dz60. Should be different
the centered usb port :(
This is great. Can't wait until it becomes instock.

You're making me jelly with that tofu 2.0 👀
top mount pog!
That top mount is just the best!

Did exactly that and it worked perfectly. Both PCB foam and PE foam fit without modifications
will you bulid tofu 65 2.0 , I would like to know is it much different between 60 VS 65 ?
Its exactly the same! Only size difference
Did the PCB come with the daughterboard?
Yes ofc
Why if you can buy Wooting 60HE?
Because wooting 60HE isnt as good as this. Wooting appeals mostly to gamers
On there site there are 3 layout’s wk, well and HHKB. What’s the difference?
wk is window key so it come with one, wkl is window keyless so no window key hhkb stands for happy hacking keyboard which is a completely different layout so search it up
How does this compare to Keychron?
10000% better than keychron to me
Did you include all types all foams?
I tried with all foams on a separate stream and it sounds good but kinda the same with any other foamy board
since the enter and backspace is east and west facing, does it cause interferences when using cherry profile?
No interference
Hi, for a custom keyboard can you mix brands like KBDfans and Akko?
You can mix switches and keycaps but not the insides
@@Yo_keebs ok ty
Does this kit come with shims for the stabs?
Yes it does
Would you recommend this board for someone looking to build their first keyboard?
Yupp pretty easy to build, lots of fun configurations you can do and experiment on
qk75 80 better
Which layout is this? HHKB, WKL, or WK?
Wk
@@Yo_keebs sweet, thank you! Think I can swap the Wooting 60HE into this case?
@@Priimacy cant unfortunatley. The USB C on the pcb cant fit. The tofu 2.0 requires using daughterboard
Is the keyboard in the video wk or wkl
Wk
@@Yo_keebs does the kit come with the foam or do you have to buy to separately
@@m9straight i believe it does come with it but make sure by checking the product page and list of contents
@@Yo_keebs ok thanks this is my first custom build I can’t wait
Can it be plateless build
Unfortunatley not. The mounting styles do not support plateless
downside is that there's no PCB alternative that they sell that has arrow keys (not a fan of 2nd layer arrow key assignments)
Yeah that’s why I’m just getting the 65
Yup thats why the 65 exists
it's not even a budget keyboard literally its like above $200 LOL
Kit price is $169
