My first casper was I named it "Accidental Casper" Basically an Impossible to Casper slide. Never been able do it again. It was all accidental. I was trying to land a Primo.
@@morgandrotar721 did you go to something in the water? i had a blast. I was hyped on the next one but unfortunately idk if thats gonna happen bc of covid
Dude returned to skateboarding a weeks ago and guess what, TH-cam is huge now and anyone can do it, and you have practically explained my exact style of skating.(different videos obviously) I do footwork style skating with a few wierd technical looking freestyle stuff. Thanks
I was struggling with this for a sec, when I realized that when you said "a quarter rotation"@ 4:15 it is actually 3/4 of a rotation. I appreciate this TUT, Thanks Mike. this comment was just for learners sake. no critique.
Good information as always Mike. What I'm looking to get help with now is doing a truck stand to impress all my buds in the bowl. What do you think about making a vert segment?
hay mike thanks for all your vids. i thinking you should make a discord channel for people to send videos to. id love to see everyone's progression and i know for me personally love for you to give me to tips on the refinement of the tricks after learning them. just an idea since i dont think any other skater has done it so far.
Anyone can skate! You just need to have the confidence to do tricks, stick with it and practice lots! Wear padding and a helmet if you don’t want to do damage. But skateboarding is for everyone!🤍 have fun skating!
I have a mini cruiser, do I need a street deck to do Casper's? please respond I've spent the last hour trying to do one,but no luck. I don't know if it's the board or me.
Hey Mike Thanks for the videos. Love your channel. I'm a senior at Columbia Chicago, I live very close to your old stomping grounds. Started skating last week, and ripped a muscle in my right calf. I'm an ex figure skater, competed five years. I want to freestyle and have two boards. A Lance Mountain 9 X 32 with 64 wheels and a Tommy Howard 7 1/4 X 27 with 57 wheels. Which board should I learn on? I'm 6' 0" 160 lb. if that matters.
+Tony Meers WHAT you have a Tommy Harward!????? I mean, I’d say use the Harward for some easier stuff, but I’d be a bad businessman if I didn’t tell you to consider picking up a WAltz board. The Harward is a bit small, but it’s def a better option that that huge lance board. Best of luck with the injury. That sucks man!
Your sk8ing a double kick in this one is just personal preference on freestyle decks or double kicks? I know it important to have the wheels make it easier to get in to rails stand.
Hey i used my street board like you said and I've been trying to learn the Casper but my boards just so big I use an 8.25 do you have any ideas that can help me with my problem
+Devon Legros nah but really, I’d say it’s all still possible on an 8.25. Just try to lean into everything. You’ll need to use your body weight to swing the board around for tricks like this

That's neat. Try to make it yours.

I do a casper from starting on the boards back then I kinda flip it all the way to its wheels and land it, kinda like an impossible.
I was struggling with this for a sec, when I realized that when you said "a quarter rotation"@ 4:15 it is actually 3/4 of a rotation. I appreciate this TUT, Thanks Mike. this comment was just for learners sake. no critique.

OMG THANK YOU DUDE I DID MY FIRST TRICK IM ON MY WAY TO OLLIES!
Is that grip tape underneath the board?
yes
Yes, it makes sure that when he does a casper his foot doesn't slide off the board.
Free style looks good but do you think someone who’s plus size will be able to do it

I went from a Casper to flipping the board 1.5 times and landing it, what is this trick called? (I genuinely want to know)
Is it ok if I exit Casper by doing half a flip instead of a shuv it
Totally! You can get out of Casper a bunch of different ways. Just keep those feet off of the ground
@@mike_osterman1 cool bro thanks for replying. I’m supper hyped I can finally do Casper the right way
Mike you’re fucking amazing mate, this proper inspires me to do better at skating

I can't find the video where you explain the casper basics on your page.. :( can anyone point me in the right direction?
